This is the worst Mellow Mushroom in my area, so much so I am willing to drive an extra 15-20 minutes to go to the further away location. Half the time they close the store outside of their posted hours. They always mess up my to go orders. Which is amazing because I ordered a plan cheese pizza and they somehow manage it o mess it up. They close half the restaurant or patio because they "don't want to clean it again". I am truly amazed this location manages to stay open and I am always disappointed in myself whenever I think they might have changed and I should give them another try. I eat here sporadically when I'm at my employers office in Alpharetta. On this visit my boss treated us to lunch. Parking is easy. The interior dining area and patio are consistently clean and well decorated. Service is consistently friendly. They have good vegetarian and vegan food options plus food that has meat for my carnivore coworkers. I ordered the tempeh teriyaki sandwich with chips and a drink. The rest of the group dined on assorted pizzas. Portion sizes and prices are reasonable and the food is consistently delicious. Bathrooms are consistently clean and tidy. I prefer table service at Mellow Mushroom, but the more efficient - and less costly - counter ordering system works just fine at this location. Soda, water, and tea refills are do-it-yourself, but leave a nice tip when you pay and the staff may just bring your plates and utensils directly to your table. We love mellow mushroom pizza, especially the crust, and frequent the restaurant around the Atlanta area; however, this particular MM was not as consistent. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. Ordered carry out for two large pizzas and a Greek salad. The pizza had too much oil sitting on top of the pepperoni and the pizza, itself- the box was saturated with oil. The pizza was stone cold and we only drove 3 miles from the restaurant. The salad was sub-par with huge chunks of the lettuce you typically throw away. It was clear the salad was the gross ice berg from a bag, not fresh romaine lettuce- the way it should have been! We ordered online and arrived 15 minutes early, the restaurant did have the pizza ready which we appreciated and the chopped ingredients on the salad were good but again, the lettuce (which is primarily what a salad is composed of, was inedible). This type of shortcut with the pizza and salad is unacceptable and deters me from returning. This area has tons of other pizza restaurants with higher quality product. read more

I have been coming to this MM almost weekly for years. The pizza is great and the staff is friendly. The salad is always fresh. It tends to be crowded at lunch, especially with large groups from local offices, so you might want to time your visit so you don't arrive between 12-12:30. This was the first time, so I decided to play it safe and start with a normal cheese pizza and add a couple of toppings instead of going for one of their unique recipes. The pizza was good. It rarely happens, but in this case the crust was like way better than the pizza itself. It was nicely crispy and soft at the same time and was nicely seasoned as well. I ordered a small and it was more than enough pizza for me - actually I finished only half of it. While the pizza was decent, the garlic bread on the other hand, was pretty disappointing. No real garlic flavor. Not consistently crispy. It didn't seem fresh at all. Very meh... Also they don't deliver. I don't know why they list delivery on their yelp page if they don't really do it. That was a bit annoying to find out after calling them. Again, it was nearby so I went ahead with the order. I would try MM again - maybe that magical mystery pizza or something like that. read more
