My new lunch time addiction is the Mellow Mushroom Enlightened Spinach Salad with Jerk Steak and Balsamic Dressing. It's a huge bowl of super fresh spinach leaves with apples, candied pecans, cherries and feta. I prefer to add Jerk flavored steak which has the slightest spicy punch and so much flavor! The sweet and spicy aspects of this salad really make it enjoyable. Of course if you prefer chicken or tofu...go for it! read more

I love this place. I've been coming here for my Friday night "take home for family" pizza for a few years now. Pizza is always great. My daughters are vegetarians and several options are available for them. Service is very friendly and fast and the place is always clean. The beer selection is very good too although some more hard to find variance would be welcomed. Craft stouts, double IPAs etc. Other than that, this is my "go to" pizza and family restaurant. Try the mushroom club or calzone if you want non pizza choices. read more

I remember loving Mellow Mushroom, but not really a fan anymore. Having visited other locations, we thought this location would be as good as other locations. Sorry we were wrong. The Pizza seemed like it was rushed. The waiter takes forever to come around to your table even when its not busy. Food was good. Service was awful. They "ran out" of the bread for the bruscetta so we ordered spinach artichoke dip. It came with the same bread the bruscetta would have come with. Really? Our entrees took forever to arrive and we only had a couple of small pizzas, sandwich and a calzone. When I ordered my sandwich, I was told they don't do fries at that location, despite them being on the menu. They also forgot to make my Dad's calzone. One of the cooks in the back insisted on singing as loudly as he could with the music that was playing. When we were ready to go, the waitress asked if there would be anything else. We said "just the check please." She then proceeded to talk and laugh with her co-workers instead of ringing us out and getting our check. BBQ pizza is yum. Thick pieces of Canadian bacon, great sauce and great crust. Why two stars? Well, I got take out fom here. Paid for my order, no problem. Great, there was a wait but it was quiz night so we were entertained. No problem. Got my pizza. Yum (obviously no problem). Two days later I check my account a notice that they've added $3. Nice. I usually come here at least once a week. Best steak hogie in town! There are always great beers on tap and usually something good on special. The service is great and I've only had good experiences with the staff. Management is very responsive and always making sure things are done the right way. This place was amazing. We had a hockey tournament and about 42 people eating. We called ahead to check and see if they could accommodate us. Normally for the weekends the manager told us they were short staffed due to them being in a corporate district and heavy times were lunch time weekdays. The staff had us all seated, fed and out with checks paid in less than 40 mins. We ordered ahead and they had everything accomplished when we were getting there. The pizza was great, but the service, not so much. I ordered prepaid curbside service & I got there about 5 minutes later than my assigned time. I called when I got there & they said they'd bring it right out. I waited in my car for 10 minutes, then went in. Counter guys got up from sitting at a table when I came in & I asked about my pizza. I've been to Mellow Mushroom for lunch and I've had it ordered ahead and I've eaten in the restaurant. I like this restaurant for date night, extended lunch, and girls night out. However, my to go orders have been lackluster for the price. My order never includes silverware for my salads, the quantities are smaller to go, and there is no sense of urgency to account for the oversight. I've noticed a slow decline in quality but the service has been status quo. read more

Order take out. Went to pick up the food and found none of the kitchen staff wearing masks. By the time I got home food was cold not warm but cold. I thought I could warm up the pretzels and found the bottoms of the pretzels. Cheese bread was bad also and cold. I also chicken wings the were kinda hot but because kitchen staff was not wearing masks I through all the food out in the trash. That is $40 with tip down the drain. Came here with a couple friends. Mellow Mushroom is your typical neighborhood chain pizza joint, and this branch wasn't any different. We had the cheese and pepperoni pizza, as well as the enlightened Greek salad. What separates good pizza from OK pizza is the edibility of the crust, which the pizzas we got failed to pass. Although the cheese and sauce ratio were pretty tight, I gave up on eating crust after one or two slices. The salad however was tasty; the dried cherries and crisp, tart apples balanced out the pecans and creamy feta cheese, perfect toppings on the spinach. It tasted nice and was good for you. read more

Check your pizza before you leave for to go orders... Usually good, but inconsistent. I ordered their new shittake mushroom pizza and the first time it was great. I then ordered it again a few weeks later--takeout-- and they left off half the ingredients!! I was too tired to bother driving back. I also am not a fan of some of the kids that work there... some are not service oriented--too busy checking their cell phones. I also am about 95% sure that one of them almost ran me off the road--on his way to work. He didnt like that I turned in front of him while he was driving about 70 mph on Morris Rd and then he pulled in front of me and slammed on his brakes and then rolled down his window and sneered at me. I love Mellow Mushroom and this location - the servers are laid back but attentive. I especially like trivia night on Tuesday - a great way to break up the work week. My favorite pizza is the Holy Shitake and the baked potato pie. There's a guy in the back that I have heard singing in the kitchen - that warms my heart to hear someone so open and free and obviously a happy go lucky fellow. Ok, this place is exactly like you would expect a MM to be. The pizza is consistently good and although the service varies as does the wait time, based on how busy the place is, you really can't go wrong with it. We went over the weekend because the person I was with wanted a Calzone and not of the freezer variety. He really enjoyed the fresh ingredients and lots of extra marinara for dipping. I had a Greek salad and everything was fresh and the dressing was fresh. I asked if the location made the "Drunkin Fun Guys" like the Brookhaven place does. Which is chunks of their pretzels and their beer cheese...They didn't but our server checked with the back and they made the order special for me, based on what I told her....THANK YOU!! I will always have love for a place that can adapt. OK, so the REAL reason I am leaving a review is because I left my cellphone accidentally(and yes I was sober) and didn't realize it until much later in the evening. So I got up the next morning and drove over there to see if they had it still...I was pretty confident they did since the place was clearing out and our server would have been the next one at the table after we left and she was entirely too sweet to take a phone and keep it. The AM manager was VERY nice and looked all over the restaurant and the back office trying to locate it, he even called the Asst. Manager that was on shift the night before to see...the one server that trickled in and the BOH guy that came in shortly after all took part in looking around for my phone. As it turned out the Asst. Manager took my phone with him for the evening just in case someone called so he would be able to answer and let them know he had my phone. He offered to bring my phone to me, or meet me anywhere that I picked...I declined and drove to him....Anyway the group that currently works there is a great group and I hope they stick around...This MM will now be my "go to" MM for that area for sure. I have heard a lot about Mellow Mushroom Pizza over the years from various friends, in various states. Living in NYC there is no access to Mellow Mushroom, but it doesn't matter because you can get the best pizza in the world on any block. Back to MM....I was curious to try this place out after hearing so much about it. We ordered a cheese and mushroom pie and it was ready for us to pick up 15 minutes later. For $15 there were 8 medium sized slices (definitely not New York style...I better get used to that), that were covered with cheese and mushrooms. They definitely didn't skimp out on the toppings. After letting it cool for a few minutes I was delighted to take my first bite...crisp, thicker, but not soggy or burnt crust. YUM! The cheese had a really nice flavor and although the mushrooms weren't seasoned they tasted really great with the cheese and crust. Once I got to the crust I am really happy! It had this buttery garlic taste that was delicious. No cardboard flavor here, just yummy crust deliciousness! I have been thinking about MM since first going there and I have a feeling it won't be long before I am back. YUM! read more

Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorite pizza places. My wife and I have tried a number of Mellow Mushroom locations...and all of them have been quite good. Two colleagues and I visited this location and it was as good as any of the others. Both of my friends had pizzas with self chosen toppings. They both thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. One of the colleagues is a "pizza lover" and she really liked her pizza. I ordered one of their specialty pizzas, the Funky Q Chicken...with BBQ chicken, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and bacon...YUMMY! The best part of the pizza at Mellow Mushroom is the crust. The crust here is a medium style crust, not overly thick or thin. The flavor of the. crust is also very good, buttery and chewy. Service was excellent as it is at all of the locations I have visited. Also, if you have not been to one, you should visit. The decor and atmosphere is quite funky. The overall vibe is of the late 1960's, with lots of psychedelic stuff around, it is quite cool. While I am a big fan, some of the locations could use help with the service. Alpharetta is quite good however. read more

Colleagues brought me to this restaurant, which is a very nice place. They told me to avoid the lunch hours due to the limited parking space at noon time. So we went there at 1:50 pm.; a late lunch. The pizza is good. Thin skin. Juicy moist topping is good, which is a 'MUST' for my taste buds. This time, I tried mushroom, because they name themselves mellow "mushroom". A wise decision. Next time, I will try pineapple and ham topping. Delicious. One slice of pizza + salad + soda is one of their combo's, which is about $8.50. Tips is extra. This place is definitely better than Little Caesar, in terms of food. In terms of restaurant environment, foods, and every factor combined, this place could be even better than the famous North Beach Pizza in San Francisco Italian Town (1462 Grant Avenue, San Francisco) The service was excellent. I observe my colleague happens to enjoy the waitress there. I was surprised on his staring and peeping. Music was a little bit loud. So, we had to site in outside balcony; otherwise we have to yelp. They have two tanks of tea. They forgot to label them "Sweetened" and "Unsweetened". Someday I will bring my wife there, who does not enjoy pizza much. Let's see. read more
