Since we're back on the gulf coast we had to go to Mellow Mushroom! This is one of our favorite pizza joints. Not only is the pizza fantastic but the service excels too. Our waitress today, Wendy, kept our drinks filled and also gave us some great local advice. She was complementary of my daughter as soon as we got there. Took forever to get food and it was not good. Pizza hardly had any cheese. Service was slow and it was not crowded at all.

Great hand tossed pizza with a huge amount of toppings and combinations. Excellent beer selection with great prices. Make sure to try the pretzels beforehand, they're outstanding! Not sure why some other reviews said they had "upset tummies" after they ate here. We had a party of four and we all had pizza and pretzels and the only thing we felt was full! The pizza from Mellow Mushroom is pretty much heaven. Sure I love that they deliver to my workplace and the delivery guys are cool as can be but the Pizza is perfect. The first time I ordered I had the Parson's Pie. White sauce, artichoke, steak, feta cheese...oh my! The crust melted in my mouth. The next time I ordered the Taco Pizza. Definately different, great taco sauce, meat, peppers, lettuce, tomato, sour cream. Very very good. I think the Parson's is always going to be my favorite but it was well worth the time and I would do it all again! read more

We have lived here for 4 years and Mellow Mushroom is my favorite place for all things pizza. We live close, so usually order and pick up. My husband loves their excellent calzone(he orders a ham and cheese) so large it is next day's lunch. My favorite is the Holy Shitake pizza. Yum! You know, it's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. Worth it! read more

Very disappointed. We waited for over an hour with no meal. It took over 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken.

After avoiding this restaurant for 3 years, I decided to give it another try here in Foley. Big mistake. Worst service ever... the waitress would leave mid request so she was unable get the order right. The child's pepperoni pizza was without pepperoni, she missed the request to have apples off the plate. The celery sticks were frozen, the carrot sticks tasted musty, and the chicken wings were lacking chicken. Never again! read more

My husband, mom, and I are all vegan and were so impressed by the vegan options! We got a large pizza with vegan cheese, mushrooms, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing - our server, Charlotte even came out and told us that the roasted mushrooms are made with butter and she asked them to make it vegan for us. This is one of the best pizza calzone places I have ever been to! We had 4 adults and our 1 year old. We ordered mac and cheese for our baby and the waitress was intuitive and asked if we wanted the mac and cheese right away so she could eat while we wait for the pizza and calzones we ordered. Perfect! Came out quickly and just the right portion. Our other food was out in a very reasonable amount of time for made from scratch. It was soooooo good!!!! We got a medium funky-Q chicken pizza it was very good has a very sweet sauce but it wasn't overpowering by any means. We also got a steak and cheese calzone and a sausage fest calzone! Both HUGE and DELICIOUS no way one person can finish one of these alone. with all of the good things there are to say regarding the food we can't say enough about the waitress! She was phenomenal! Selena was attentive and intuitive. Her common sense regarding her clients needs was so refreshing. We were so lucky to have her as our waitress it really made the night a home run. Staff was extremely nice. They were packed and our food took almost an hour to arrive and when it did our pizza was burnt. We had been riding all day with two small children, so to say we were upset was correct. But, a lady came out (I'm assuming a manager or owner?) and offered to put another pizza on for us. HORRIBLE!! Never will eat here ever again. The service was terrible. Our waiter was high, and didn't know what was going on, it was like he was on a different planet. This is a cute little place on the side of the road, but has some great pizza! We got great service and the cheese is melted in a way your mouth will thank you for when you bite into the beautiful creation that is... pizza. I'm sure the burgers and everything else on the wide verity menu is greatly satisfying as well. We came to the Foley Mellow Mushroom with a very large group of 20 adults, 3 toddlers, and 1 infant. The food was very good (mom got the gluten free pizza and liked better than most she has has, I got the mega veggie which was very good, and others got the mighty meat, buffalo chicken and mellowterranean and really like them). But the best part was the service. The two young men helping us were very friendly, kind, patient, and prompt.
