Such an easy to give, well deserved 5 stars! The entire family thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Hub Stacey's. It's a laid back, seat yourself, kind of spot. We decided to come here based on the reviews of other Yelpers and it did not let us down! The atmosphere is really cool, and I loved looking around at all the dollar bills left behind by other diners over the years. We ordered the Hub Sampler so we got to try a little bit of every classic fried item on the menu. It included fried mushrooms, pickles, mozzarella, and then corn fritters. It was great and had something for everyone! Each of us ordered a sandwich and then one chef salad to split. Because we were also eating a sandwich, the salad was big enough for 4 people to share. It was really big for an entree salad! Everything was good and fresh. My husband and I split The Main Street with potato salad. It's a yummy take on a club sandwich. The standout of the entire meal though was the potato salad. It is a must try. I haven't stopped thinking about it since and I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a to go order to bring back home with me! I hate to take a place down for their workers. The food was amazing. The club sandwich and the Hubba Bubba sandwich were amazing. And we were totally surprised by the delicious potato salad. Some of the best we've ever had. However the waitress we had was not very friendly and made a mistake by delivering my drink to someone else and she was totally rude about it. Never apologized or said I will be right on it. It was a very weird exchange. It was a great spot to eat. Loved the vibe! We had met our fishing guide here for an excursion and stayed for lunch upon our return. Highly recommend. And hope to one day be back. The food was delicious. The food is always consistent. Is it the absolute best? No... but is it good enough to go back again? Yeah, I'd think so. Sandwich portions are always great. Their biscuits at brunch are AMAZING. The only negatives I'd have is on some evenings when you're just trying to have dinner and talk with friends, the bands playing are way too loud. Maybe I'm just turning in to my father, but I don't think when there are 15 tables at most that you need the volume at 100... The other negative is the occasional irritable server. Like, I don't know if they're hungover, having a bad day, or what... but it's annoying when you show up as a customer and you're an inconvenience... for just doing customer things, like ordering food and asking for drinks. So, I stopped by to get some to go for the beach & asked. The lovely waitress there told me, "yes, there is some bacon in it!" BOOM chaka laka boom! Hubby owes me a wad of cash haha. Love that I can ride my motorcycle down in the early morning cool air, as they serve brekkie from 7 to 11am. Tons of bike parking. We especially love lunch here, the burgers & tots are always good. The vibes are alway fun & the drinks are always cold. However, my fave combo is the CUBAN sandwich with the BACON potato salad! Never had bacon in my potato salad but now, we can't get enough of it!
