We've had excellent service and success on a previous trip to Lincoln for pizza, but this time it was the total opposite. My wife came here last week and ordered a vegan Pizza, and they totally butchered her order, there was cheese all over it and they didn't listen. Unfortunately, this isn't the only city we've received bad service from Mellow Mushroom. The one in Salt Lake has been bad for us the last couple of times as well. It's safe to say, Mellow Mushroom has lost some customers indefinitely. read more

Super pricy, was about $70 for 3 people who got water as drinks, but the food was so delicious! Wings are a must as they have the perfect amount of sauce. The pizzas have the most perfect crust as well! The white pizza was my favorite. Is it worth the price? Probably not. Price was not displayed on the online menu we ordered from either so we didn't know what we were getting into. If you can afford it, it sure is tasty though! read more

OMFG!!!! That house special pizza was amazeballs!!!! So pretty, fresh, and delicious!!!!! You eat with your eyes and nose before your mouth. It looked good, smelled good, and tasted good. The quality of the ingredients couldnt be missed. My greedy butt was concerned about how small a small would be. I was affraid that at that size , I'd mainly just have crust...no sir...it's a real pizza. Beautiful crisp crust loaded with toppings. Us two couples came in for the first time! We ordered appitizers- 3 beer cheese pretzels , garlic cheesy bread , one Greek salad and one free Yelp Greek salad for checking in. Now that being said... we could have quit there!! But NOoOoO !! We had two 16 inch pizzas. Half n halves- olive oil garlic spinach, chicken and onions/ other half same but added mushrooms. Delicious pizza and calzones in downtown Lincoln. Although the food (when it eventually arrived) was good, it took awhile to get our order in. Nobody came to our table after we were sat down and we had to flag down someone after 15 minutes. We had to go up and ask for drink refills when every persons cup was empty after 30 minutes. Had to ask two servers for straws. And we had a missing sandwich which we had to walk up to inquire about. I'm just going to say...let's chalk it up to the crazy covid times we're all living in! The pretzel bites were amazing and were the perfect combination of cheeses and doughy! The pizza was out of this world *all pun intended*. I love pizza and I loved this restaurant. I got the soft pretzel appetizer with the beer cheese dip which was awesome. Probably didn't need the dip for an extra $2 or whatever it was-the pretzels were good enough on their own. You can do half and half of any pizzas (we did the Maui Wowie and their BBQ Chicken) both were very good. Food took a little while but the waitress explained it would as wood fired pizzas take a little longer than regular oven baking. The place seemed overstaffed but we assumed they were still just training a bunch of people. We sat at a high top table which normally I'm fine with but the stools seemed to be several inches too short for the tables which left me feeling uncomfortable. Overall, an excellent addition to the new Railyard area and I will definitely be going back! Just tried the Mellow Mushroom yesterday with my downtown buddy. My favorite part was the atmosphere, when you walk in the door you feel like it's the 60's and I felt like a hippie. Loved it! The drink menu was interesting, lots to choose from. I ordered the TKO and it was delicious. Perfect mixture of tangy and sweet. We ended up ordering the Hummus appetizer with pita bread, it was delivered to our table quickly and was fabulous! The bread was warm and perfectly chewy. Then the time came for our pizza. We ordered a 14" Maui Wowie to share (six slices). What an interesting combination! One slice in we noticed a hair on our pizza (eek!!) Long, wavy and blonde. But whatever it happens! The manager was just walking by and noticed our faces, quickly asked what was wrong and had our pizza re-fired right away. She even took it off our bill! We went before a concert on a Friday night, arriving just before 5:30 PM. We were told there was a 30 minute wait, that in actuality was only about 5-10 minutes. We were seated at a 4-persopn square table. Right off the bat, first impressions are the chairs are terribly uncomfortable and the table is too small for pizzas, plates, drinks, etc... and both assumptions were right.. My kids are picky eaters so we ordered a 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 cheese pizza for them. Even for picky eaters there was nothing left over. My wife and I got the 1/2 Holy Shiitake and 1/2 House Special. She loved her's and I thought it was okay, but definitely not my favourite. The House Special was good but I'd have preferred they leave the bacon off. I love bacon but it's a strong flavor on pizza. Service was pretty good. My drink sat empty for a good ten minutes before it was refilled. My son had milk and they not only refilled it (it was a large glass) but did not charge. Nice. The atmosphere is nice. I wish I had pictures to share. If given a choice, definitely wait for a booth to open. Most looked like they could seat 6-8 pretty easy, the table was bigger, and seats looked much more comfortable. There is limited street parking (metered) and there is a garage nearby. With the concert going on the garage cost us $10. Not too bad for covered parking and it was very convenient to the restaurant and Pinnacle Bank Arena. read more

After we had a good experience the first time going, we decided to give this place another shot as we were in town for UNL's move-in weekend. We were seated pretty quickly for our table of six. I sat observing the staff and had staff members look toward our table and walk past our table seven times in about 10 minutes. One of the waitresses stopped at the bar and asked the person behind the bar, "Are you going to wait on 43?" (low and behold, that was us). Still no one came to the able. After another five minutes, I went to the host and asked if anyone was going to come to our table. He apologized and went around to figure out who was going to come to our table. He went to the kitchen area and saw four people turn and look at our table with a female (assuming manager) ask if anyone was going to come to table 43 because "they have been there for about 15 minutes." Finally, Olivia came over (same person that asked the person at the bar if he was going to wait on us), half-heartily apologized and proceed to take our drink and food order since we obviously had plenty of time to look it over (seemed like we were a waste of her time since we were obviously not her section). When she brought us our drinks, she left so quickly (jogged away) to the kitchen to get food and take to another table before we could even ask for straws. Another person from our party had to go up to the server area and WAIT for someone to acknowledge her to ask for straws. After about another 15-20 minutes waiting for the food (which would be typically for pizza), they came by and said that "we don't have any pizza servers as they are all dirty", so we had to use our knives and hands to break apart some of the hot pizza. My son decided he didn't want pizza so he ordered the meatball hoagie and when his food came last, a female (assuming manager, but not sure) made a remark about who the oddball was to not order pizza. After the frustration of our visit, and our tempers already high, this was not a very considerate comment to make. Olivia came by once to see how everything was. We did not see her again to see how things were, or to ask for refills (every person at our table had an empty glass for at least half of our visit). It took her a long while to come back to our table again to ask if we need boxes and we had to prompt her we wanted our bill. This was definitely not the same experience that we had the first time and this will very likely be our last. With 50% capacity at most, business was much different than the first time we went and what we experienced above should not have been the case for the 50% capacity business. Given that pretty much the entire staff knew that we were unhappy with the extended wait to get waited on, one would have thought that the staff would attempt to go the extra mile to improve our time there. Not one visit from anyone identifying to be a member of the management team to talk to us to apologize for the wait. We used to recommend this place based off of the one visit and we will no longer. read more

This is actually a review of Mellow Mushroom's "Catering Re-imagined". Catering Reimagined catered a business lunch I attended Friday. Delivery woman was prompt and cheerful. The sandwiches were some of the best fare I've had at a business lunch! Very fresh flavors. Sandwiches are served by the half, so I sampled a couple different ones. None disappointed, but the Chicken Salad was incredible! I make a good curry chicken salad, but I'm going to make some changes based on their version! The pasta salad was tasty and fresh. Best place to eat after game day I went here with a group of friends after a game and the service I received from start to finish was great. After a little bit of a wait because of game day, we got in and our food and appetizer was amazing. What I'd like to highlight, though, is the kindness of both my server and the hostesses. I came in with a dead phone and they allowed me to use a charger at the hostess stand which was so helpful and allowed me to get home. Our server, while obviously busy due to the tables arounds us, was so nice and got our food out and drinks topped off through out our visit. It's hard being that close to Memorial Stadium, but the ladies I encountered this evening made me feel more than taken care of. Just left here, the food was okay, our pizza was not as warm as I'd like it to be when it came out, but still decent. I've been to MM other times when the food was better. Our waitress was very nice and helpful! Upon leaving one of the workers started yelling at his coworkers right by our table, dropping the F bomb and other curse words.
