Already at a loss of $5000, and 4 months later, my stress was at an all-time high that I had made the worst purchase decision of my entire life. I'm a big believer in supporting small business in Albuquerque and I believe in giving people the opportunity to make it right. I contacted the general manager, he's a busy man and very hard to get a hold of, but the quality of our conversations was worth the wait. He made me an offer to buy back the vehicle and allow me to cut my losses completely, or he could help set up a really good deal on another vehicle if I gave it another shot. We took him up on that offer because I feel that he was acting in good faith and wanted to make it right. We ended up buying another vehicle after he paid off the one that gave us so much trouble. In being fair and taking such good care of my family, this dealership has gained a life long customer. I would recommend them to any friend or family member looking for a reliable used vehicle. My truck was there for over 3 weeks when I picked it up and took it literally down the street it was damn near shaking apart so I took it right back and they kept it for another week because they never preformed the camber on it when I picked it up it was ok and I was told to buy new tires that they were the cause of the shaking so I went and got new tires mounted and balanced all the way around the truck. I still had an issues with the wearing of tires on the steer so I took it back again and to my surprise I was told that I needed to drop the steer axle again and get a camber done on it, when I told them that it was done by them a month ago they replied that it if there's not two signatures on the paper that it was my fault for taking the truck and not checking it. I paid for it again and when I came back a few days later to my surprise they told me it was done but when I inspected the truck there was not one new u bolt on it witch lead me to believe the job was not done again I also ended up with a bent bumper in the process but by this time I needed my truck and I needed it to be working again. Months later I stopped at a shop in Denver because my tires are wearing again and what a night and day difference with the experience and I was told that I would get updates threw the whole process. I stayed there a week and it costed me 1,800.00 vs the 5,700.00 I paid at McBrides and to this day the truck is running as smooth as it ever has not to mention I got photos and video of all the work done on my truck. BE CAUTIOUS when getting work done here and make sure you inspect everything they say they did they are vary untrustworthy and will cut corners and lie that they did work they never preformed. I I'm not the only one that this has been done to there are a lot of independents and small trucking companies that will attest to what I am saying it sucks that they are the only ones in Albuquerque but a little drive to Cruces, El Paso or Colorado will save you big in the long run.

Bought a remanufactured transmission for my Suburban from Galles parts department. Had another shop install it, after only 20 miles of driving it, the vehicle would not shift into gear. Had it towed to Galles for the warranty repair. Vehicle was towed in on 11/9 and on 3/3 got an email stating GM said it was not covered due to my "heavy modifications." Makes no sense that the transmission I bought new (remanufactured) from Galles didn't last more than 20 miles, regardless of modifications, it seems a $3,000.00 transmission would last more than 20 miles. My vehicle was at Galles for over 16 weeks, 114 days to be exact, and during that time, if I had 3 calls to inform me of any updates that was too many. My vehicle needed "calibration codes" in order to determine if would be covered by warranty or not. It took Galles nearly 114 days, to get calibration codes sent to GM. Absolutely RIDICULOUS and unacceptable!!! I never saw what the codes came back as, the final invoice stated nothing about what the codes were, nor did the invoice show what GM said, it was typed out by what the service advisor put into his own words. There was nearly zero communication, and when I was able to reach the service advisor, Leonard, he never had any updates for me. It was always "we are down to one tech," "our tech is out sick," or "there at 10 vehicles ahead of yours." Nearly each time I called; the service advisors' voicemail was full. I then would try to reach the GM, Ken, to which he never answered his phone, but would listen to my voicemail, and then have Leonard return my back. The ladies at the answering reception area were also very rude with zero customer service skills. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service department; the service advisor; the GM; as well as the reception answering service. My vehicle has been modified, but to have my vehicle there for over 16 weeks for calibration codes to be sent off to corporate headquarters should show what pride the service team at Galles Chevrolet takes in getting their customers taken care of/ in and out. Terrible communication. Terrible experience. Terrible efforts all the way around. I highly advise anyone needing service on their GM to seek an alternate dealership. Mike C

The owner opens the shop promptly at 6:00 AM and was cheerful, reassuring, interested in my problem. Barely noticed until I tried to back out. the stump pulled off half my bumper. I had to use my boot strings to tie the bumper up. I drove over to Representative Tim. I casually mentioned that it was bad timing because I had a funeral to go too in Denver. He told go get something to eat while his crew looked to examine the damage. In hindsight, it has been one of the worst decisions I've made concerning my automobile . Initially I was told by the estimator/service advisor the repairs would take three weeks, possibly four weeks at the most. This was due to the complexity in repairing a C8 corvette. My car was taken to Crown CouchWorks in mid March 2026. Today is August 26, 2026, my car is still not completed.So April,May, June, July now August have almost passed....5 months I've been waiting for the completion of three or four week minor repair. They have been paid over $10,000 by my insurance company in addition to another $1,000 that I have paid them. They collected 80% of these funds in March 2026. By my estimat,Body Shop technicians working on my car accounted for three of the five months. GM sending a defective passenger door panel added two weeks maybe 20 days. The Estimator/ service writer who was the lead on this job has for certain added a month and a half in delays. Countless trips to the shop voicing my concern have been met with, "we are working on it" to "the ones working on your car have called in sick"to "the Body Shop personnel working on your car both have quit" to " the owner of the company and I am personally going to come in and make sure your car gets finished" Finally the latest comment was" do what you Gotta do" This was in response to my demand that my car be returned to me immediately. although my.car was not completely repaired. I took of possession of it one week ago. They did say they would not release my car unless I paid $500 and sign a ridiculous statement stating that the car was not repaired correctly and they were not responsible for the consequences that could arise out of their not completing the work they contracted for.I did not sign it, I paid the $500 they demandedI to release my car. I do want to add this Crown CouchWorks specifically their Painter did a great job in the painting of the car and also the matching of the paint. I asked that the owner call me, and was hungup on by the estimator/service writer. Perhaps he will reach out to me when he reads this review. Fortunately, I have the resources to get my car repaired correctly, it is currently at the dealership where the car was purchased and advised it's going to cost me $490. I'm not angry at Crown ChoachWorks. Although I'm.I'm certainly disappointed. I don't know if anyone else has had an experience like this with this company, I hope not.
