I wanted to love this place and based on the reviews, my expectations were high. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance was fine and the staff were OK. If we needed something, it wasn't difficult to get someone's attention. For me, it was really about the food, and it just wasn't comparable to what I've had being from San Diego. Overall, what I ordered was average. I ordered the Moon River roll and one spicy scallop hand roll. I didn't enjoy that the scallop in the hand roll was cooked; I've never had it prepared that way before. I guess I should have asked how it was prepared prior to ordering. It also lacked spice, but I did appreciate the sesame flavor and the freshly chopped spices added to it. The rice, however, was nicely prepared. Also, I did get a free Salmon Kama for checking-in on Yelp. I don't think I'd return to this spot, but I wouldn't discourage others from trying it.

I just love the casual elegance in here. It makes dining so enjoyable. It's not overstated, but it's nice. I thoroughly loved my lunch.

Me and my husband love Hana sushi. Our favorite roll is is oishii roll. It's so fresh and bursting with flavor and texture. We also like the ginami roll, definitely recommend if you like salmon. I also suggest the halibut! It's a treat! All the rolls we have tried are super delicious and fresh. I've never had a "fishy" taste from anything. The restaurant is also clean and the staff is very friendly.

honestly this place surprised me in a good way. the fish tasted super fresh and didn't have that weird aftertaste some sushi spots get. the rolls were actually packed and not just a bunch of rice trying to fill space. i got a spicy tuna roll and a salmon nigiri and both were really solid, especially the salmon it just melted. service was chill too, not awkward or slow, they checked on us but didn't hover. the place itself felt clean and not sketchy which matters for sushi lol. prices weren't crazy either for what you get. definitely feels like one of those spots you can keep going back to and not regret it. i'd come back for sure. read more

My wife and I decided to try Hana Sushi for the first time for our date night, honestly only giving them a shot because they were the only sushi option available on DoorDash. We were sadly disappointed. Ordering delivery shouldn't be an issue since sushi is a cold dish anyway, so there were no worries about delays affecting the meal. To be fair, the presentation was really nice. They provided about 10 little cups of sides like ginger, ponzu, and soy sauce, which we appreciated. However, the actual food was a massive letdown. We ordered two Spicy Tuna rolls, one Cajun Tuna roll, and one Protein roll. Right away, every single roll had an overwhelmingly strong, unpleasant fishy flavor. I order sashimi and fresh rolls all the time from other spots, and I know good sushi shouldn't taste like that. As for the Cajun Tuna roll, it had a decent-sized cut of fish, but it seemed like it was just lightly seared with absolutely no Cajun flavor to it at all. We could only stomach about half of the food before we ended up throwing the rest away. It honestly tasted like bad fish, and we just didn't feel safe eating it. At $20 a roll, spending $80 total, it was a huge waste of money that left us scrounging for decent food at the last minute just to save our date night. I really wanted to like this place, but we won't be returning. read more

the sushi is good but it seems like the staff is very careless. we used to love coming here. I don't know if it's under new ownership or what but everything seems different. we had to ask a few times for certain sauces, and we ordered dinner online and they gave us an open bottle of wine that was wrapped in a plastic bag. my husband didn't notice it was open until we got home and didn't wanna drive another 20 minutes back to grab another one when we had a busy day and just were hungry. when we called for a refund they refused and kept saying that they would have to talk to the manager who apparently wasn't there. my husband could've been arrested for the situation that they put him in and we just wanted them to make it right and they refused. they did not call us back after we called them multiple times trying to figure out how to rectify the situation. read more

I highly recommend trying out their tempura or baked rolls if you're not sure what to get. The prices are pretty standard to other sushi places, but I think they dress the rolls with more toppings here. * Golden Roll: 10/10 - so tasty and generously sauced * Fire House Roll: 10/10 - perfect level of spice * Calamari Roll: 9/10 - comes with deep-fried calamari and crispy flakes We came during brunch time and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long for our rolls to come. The interior is actually quite spacious with plenty of tables and seating options to choose from. It's located in a pretty large plaza with other shops and restaurants, but finding parking should be relatively easy as it rarely gets crowded. Can't wait to come back!

The staff was attentive, and the food we received was good quality. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience at all. I just think the AYCE menu could use a little more variety and clarity.

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

The portion sizes were great, especially the protein. I got salmon and shrimp with a medium spice level, plus avocado, furikake, green onion, onion, and cucumber. It was simple but really good. Their topping options are a bit limited compared to other poke spots, but they cover the basics that most people usually get anyway. Most importantly, they are not skimpy with the protein, which I really appreciated. The inside was very clean, well-kept, and welcoming. They also carry a variety of Hawaiian Sun drinks (my favorite!) and even sell Dole Whip, which I didn't try this time but definitely will next visit. Now the food...the food is awful. The end. (Well, what we ordered anyway) But more specifically, imagine the worst Mexican fast food served on a fancy plate... Soft Drink 1 $5: Sprite: Good Soft Drink 2 $5: Coke: Bad (too syrupy and flat) Bean, Cheese and Rice Burrito $16: Beans tasted old and burnt, rice tasted old and stale (possibly microwaved). The only decent thing was the tortilla. Carne Asada Quesadilla $18: The Meat tasted dry and old, hardly any cheese and tortilla was dry. Rolled Taquitos $15: The only kind of edible dish that was served, still not very good, We were expecting something much different from the original title and description. Taquitos are small, chicken tasted old and the sauce was just canned enchilada sauce. This dish should be called "Mini Taquitos Enchiladas"(to be nice) or "Taquitos Abominación" (to be honest) Seems like they just plated them very nicely as to cover up the mediocre taste. One positive is that the service was amazing, our server (Angelina) was very attentive and friendly. The food came out quick, which in this case, wasn't a good thing. We did mention to our server that the food "wasn't very good" she said we "should've said something earlier" (not sure what that meant) but we still decided to pay the full amount. I wish they could've accommodated a refund or percentage off the check or something. The total amount for everything including Taxes & Tip was $74.77. Very over priced especially for what we've experienced and ultimately not worth it. We will not be returning to this place. It's a shame we hardly finished our plates (we were hungry mind you) except for the taquitos which were somewhat the only edible thing on the table besides the chips, both of which still being not good, including the salsas that were provided. I'm hoping they do some quality control on every item on the menu, They truly need it. You should be ashamed, Tacos & Tequila. P.S. And to top it all off, we both are experiencing stomach issues after consuming their food, I'd say stay away from this place. And for the love of God don't trust the rave reviews!!

Absolutely incredible experience at Hana Sushi Menifee. The fish quality was honestly on another level. The salmon was so buttery and fresh it practically melted in my mouth, and the tuna was unlike any I've had at other sushi places -- even the color was noticeably richer and more vibrant. I asked the server about it, and they explained that they receive fresh fish daily and never freeze it. You can truly taste the difference. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh, clean, and high quality. If you really appreciate top-quality sushi and fresh fish, Hana Sushi is definitely worth visiting. I Booked a party for the patio for 10 people we get there and are told the patio is closed. We express our frustration and the owner says fine I'll put you out there but we won't be turning the heaters on.. it was extremely cold out and we waited 20 min for a server. We left and took our business to Murrieta Hana who treated us like gold and were so happy to accommodate us. Never going back these people are a whole different level of rude and have ran this place into the ground with their nasty attitudes in the menifee location. They honestly don't even deserve 1 star. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Hana Sushi! I tried the Tempura Roll and the Las Vegas Roll, and both were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What a gem! Me and my family came here for the dinner and let me tell you, I had a Hwe Deop Bap and it was so fresh and delicious. My kids had chicken teriyaki platter and they finished everything,! If you want to find the best sushi in Menifee, this is the place. I had salmon sushi and toro sushi and oh my...they were melting in my mouth..I didn't even need to chew..I asked the server and I was told they get fish delivered everyday..EVERYDAY! no wonder! 5 star review, the overall expierence is great but the thing that really set it off was the picasso willie roll, basically the sushi chef willie took a roll from the menu and put his own twist one it. the best sushi i have ever had, definitely something you should try and now i only go there when willie is working, great job! read more

I had such a great experience here! The food was super fresh and flavorful -- especially the rolls, everything tasted like it was made with care. Love , love , love this place ! Fresh clean taste sashimi . Their green salads are perfect , the cucumber salad is refreshing . The seafood noodles is a perfection for two small eaters to share , the taste is commendable . Their sushis are to comeback for too. read more

This place is cool. I've gone to all 3 or for different locations. I am really not impressed about the price but it's do-able. But overall the times we came several times I thought the service was great and what else can I say. read more

Hana sushi has the BEST spanish roll out there. Prices are reasonable and waiters are friendly and helpful. and I love the fact that they have pictures next to all their rolls on the menu! My favorite place to stop for sushi read more
