I wanted to love this place and based on the reviews, my expectations were high. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance was fine and the staff were OK. If we needed something, it wasn't difficult to get someone's attention. For me, it was really about the food, and it just wasn't comparable to what I've had being from San Diego. Overall, what I ordered was average. I ordered the Moon River roll and one spicy scallop hand roll. I didn't enjoy that the scallop in the hand roll was cooked; I've never had it prepared that way before. I guess I should have asked how it was prepared prior to ordering. It also lacked spice, but I did appreciate the sesame flavor and the freshly chopped spices added to it. The rice, however, was nicely prepared. Also, I did get a free Salmon Kama for checking-in on Yelp. I don't think I'd return to this spot, but I wouldn't discourage others from trying it. read more

Me and my husband love Hana sushi. Our favorite roll is is oishii roll. It's so fresh and bursting with flavor and texture. We also like the ginami roll, definitely recommend if you like salmon. I also suggest the halibut! It's a treat! All the rolls we have tried are super delicious and fresh. I've never had a "fishy" taste from anything. My experience here was okay. The sushi was mid but it was good to eat! The Grilled chicken noodles I got weren't very that good they tasted like vinegar and oil. The service was okay, the lady seemed kind of rude like if she didn't really mind to help us out at time. It didn't feel as very welcoming as other restaurants. I normally go for AYCE sushi, but had lunch here with family while shopping. The rolls are typical of what you'd expect at any other sushi place. The sushi was at a good temperature, so no worries about getting food poisoning. There weren't too many customers; however, our server, who was nice, wasn't that attentive. We had wish he'd stop by often because we needed a few things. Our server forgot about one of the items we ordered, and when we reminded him, we were already finished eating and ready to leave. Overall, it's an OK establishment if you are really craving sushi and there are no other options nearby. read more

It's located in a pretty large plaza with other shops and restaurants, but finding parking should be relatively easy as it rarely gets crowded. Can't wait to come back!

The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

Then another large male employee came over, stepped directly into my personal space, and angrily asked, "Would you bring beer into a bar?" He got right in my face without first asking what had happened or allowing me to explain. His tone and decision to get that close were aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We ultimately paid the $25 fee even though the staff did not cut, plate, or serve the cake. The fee was frustrating, but the confrontational way the employees handled the situation was far worse. Families considering celebrating a child's birthday here should confirm every outside dessert policy beforehand. In our case, what should have been a joyful moment for our son became an upsetting experience. It did not leave us feeling as though families celebrating with children were welcomed or valued. A simple and respectful conversation could have resolved everything in seconds. Instead, their response changed the entire mood and ruined what should have been a special ending to our son's birthday dinner. The food may still be excellent, but a restaurant is remembered for more than its steaks. After years of loyalty, the aggressive and disrespectful way this was handled during our son's birthday has cost them our business. We will not be returning.

The interior is trying to be real hip and it sort of works in a positive way but a little bit of that modern gauche. You know, kind of like Z gallery meets mid-century with a slight Lichtenstein tribute with a cartoonish flavour. It does work though, and carries to the exterior or the exterior carries to the interior? With the limitations of a strip mall it's a little bit hard to put lipstick on a pig. But they've executed it well and it's inviting and a departure from the norm. I'm excited to get there soon.

I don't know if it's under new ownership or what but everything seems different. we had to ask a few times for certain sauces, and we ordered dinner online and they gave us an open bottle of wine that was wrapped in a plastic bag. my husband didn't notice it was open until we got home and didn't wanna drive another 20 minutes back to grab another one when we had a busy day and just were hungry. when we called for a refund they refused and kept saying that they would have to talk to the manager who apparently wasn't there. my husband could've been arrested for the situation that they put him in and we just wanted them to make it right and they refused. they did not call us back after we called them multiple times trying to figure out how to rectify the situation. read more

Absolutely incredible experience at Hana Sushi Menifee. The fish quality was honestly on another level. The salmon was so buttery and fresh it practically melted in my mouth, and the tuna was unlike any I've had at other sushi places -- even the color was noticeably richer and more vibrant. I asked the server about it, and they explained that they receive fresh fish daily and never freeze it. You can truly taste the difference. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh, clean, and high quality. If you really appreciate top-quality sushi and fresh fish, Hana Sushi is definitely worth visiting. I Booked a party for the patio for 10 people we get there and are told the patio is closed. We express our frustration and the owner says fine I'll put you out there but we won't be turning the heaters on.. it was extremely cold out and we waited 20 min for a server. We left and took our business to Murrieta Hana who treated us like gold and were so happy to accommodate us. Never going back these people are a whole different level of rude and have ran this place into the ground with their nasty attitudes in the menifee location. I had salmon sushi and toro sushi and oh my...they were melting in my mouth..I didn't even need to chew..I asked the server and I was told they get fish delivered everyday..EVERYDAY! no wonder! The all you can eat sushi rolls were smaller than other places, BUT it was good because it allowed me to taste different rolls before feeling full. The all you can eat includes dessert options which is super nice! The sushi was fresh, generous and delicious and they had a big variety of options. It came out quickly and thr waitress made sure to keep our drinks full. The sushi chefs took the time to blow up and give all the kids balloons at the end of our dinner. What a fun and delicious dinner! Came in expecting a "mid" experience and came out with a new favorite sushi place! Great price, great service and great food. 10/10!

It was incredibly fresh, light, and refreshing--the perfect roll for a warm day. Every roll we tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. It's hard to find a place that consistently delivers great food every visit, but Sushi Ka has done exactly that for us.
