A grilled cheese-o-perfection, mozzarella and cheddar with all the love on top and pesto. Friendly service and cheesy smells, conveniently positioned outside of New Belgium Brewing. I could eat the whole menu, love it, thank you for being here.

Best damn grilled cheese sandwiches...ever. Had the Pimento (cheese, bacon, tomatoes) and Fire on the Mountain (Brie, walnuts, apple). Both fantastic. If I can only have one? FoM Brie. Paired well with the beer from the small brewery next to Melt Your Heart. Can't wait to try other sandwiches. Staff was super friendly and food ready quickly and well prepared.

Yum, Yum, Yummmmmmm! Melt Your Heart is definitely a go-to food truck for my husband and I. If you can't figure this out by their name, this is a grilled cheese food truck. But not just an old white bread and American cheese grilled cheese, no sir, this is the place you go to get a complex grilled cheese with a bunch of different menu items to choose from or you can create your own. Two of my favorite are The Love Boat and The Heart Attack. The Love Boat is a tuna melt with meunster cheese, tomato and pickles. So delicious! The Heart Attack consists of pimento cheese, tomatoes and bacon. Although I no longer eat meat, my mouth still waters just thinking about it, haha. All of their sandwiches are served on crunchy bread (french bread perhaps) and can be served with a side of their Asian or chipotle slaw. I prefer the chipotle slaw in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce. It's really delicious! Their serving sizes are huge too! My husband and I sometimes order one sandwich and slaw and share it. Otherwise, be prepared to bring some leftovers home! Melt your Heart now has a permanent food truck location at the Wedge Foundation so it's a great opportunity to eat a delicious, rich sandwich and drink a great local craft beer. Love this place!

Look. If you're going to set up shop and sell something that pretty much everyone in America has grown up eating, something anyone can and does make frequently for themselves and their kids, you'd better really bring it. You'd better stand out. And the talented folks at Melt Your Heart do just that. The bread is locally sourced - organic French bread from West End Bakery - and I'm telling you, it is flat-out perfect for a grilled cheese sandwich. Excellent texture/crumb, and just thick enough so you get that fresh, buttery flavor and perfect, deeply satisfying crunch. For my sandwich I chose cheddar and smoked gouda, and went with the "Add the Love" option which provided tomato, grilled onion, and a house condiment (chipotle mayo). People, this grilled cheese ROCKED. The cheeses were high quality and packed rich, salty, complex flavors which were complimented perfectly by the tomato and onion; then the chipotle mayo threw in another layer of deliciousness, and KABOOM - it was just pure ecstasy. The chipotle slaw was on point - cool, crispy, and refreshing. Honestly, it's probably worth a return trip in its own right. And as a final touch they threw in a big complimentary Tootsie Roll. How cool is that?

This food truck is da bomb! Best grilled cheese I've ever had. Ordered the Love at First Bite, and they ain't kidding. The bread on this sandwich is what makes it. Crunchy and perfect, not too greasy. The smoked Gouda was the ultimate sin on my sandwich. The ham and caramelized onions topped it off. Wish I was hungry enough to try all of the sandwiches. The slaw on the side was just as good. I ordered the chipotle slaw, the Asian one is better IMO. Service was super fast. Sandwiches average $10 depending on what you pick. Well worth it. If I was a local, I'd track this truck down everyday and eat there. I caught them at Wedge brewery on a Friday afternoon. Keep up the great work and delicious food.

    Love at First Bite.

Three and a half stars-- hits the spot and it's a solid staple to counter day-drinking, but I've been spoiled by grilled cheese trucks closer to home that make their sandwiches a tad less greasy. Not very much mustard in their Love at First Bite, but the caramelized onions were a nice touch. Asian slaw is the most unique thing about their offerings, in the vein of Japanese salads with peanuts added. Might give them another shot with Firebird or Heart Breaker with tomato soup the next time we spot them at NBB.

I never knew that a food truck would become one of my new favorite places to eat in Asheville... until today. I ordered the The Heart Breaker which consist of smoked turkey, double cream brie, and a raspberry mustard. This sandwich will send your taste buds flying. The plan was for us to share our sandwiches half and half with each other but we both were too in love with our own sandwich to share it! The other sandwich we ordered was the famous Firebird. I was able to steal a bite and it was excellent. It consists of smoked turkey, bacon, cheddar, tomato, and chipotle mayo. This sandwich apparently won an award for best sandwich in Asheville. I'm not sure about the details but that's what I heard! The chipotle slaw that comes with your sandwich is also delicious. This was the kind of meal where you just don't want it to ever end!!

Such a yummy grilled cheese! A thick hearty piece of bread with flavorful ingredients inside! Go for a classic with a variety of cheeses or get fancy with their raspberry mustard. We were able to experience this food truck while visiting New Belgium brewery. Our grilled cheese cost close to $9, but it was well worth it!

Heart Attack - Pimento Cheese and Bacon!

Excellent food truck if you liked grilled cheese! Got the Heart Attack which had pimento cheese and bacon, and it tasted like Heaven. This truck was outside Greenman Brewery. Affordable and less than $8/person. Quick and delicious food if you see this in Asheville!

I tried Melt Your Heart on a cold winter night in February whilst heading to the UNCA men's basketball game vs. Winthrop. I was running a bit late on the truck's shift and figured I wasn't going to make it in time, but I called the owners and they were willing to stay open just for me. This was an awesome gesture on their part. The $8 firebird meal came with grilled cheese sandwich, coselaw, and a Tootsie roll. The sandwich was filled with melty, delicious goodness and the highlight of it for me was the raspberry mayo dressing. The coselaw was also scrumptious. It ended up being a lot of food and filling my appetite right up on this cold winter's night. And on that day, we also defeated Winthrop during double overtime. Not bad for a Thursday.

The Heartbreaker: Hickory Smoked Turkey, Double Cream Brie, Raspberry Mustard with Tomato Soup and Blueberry Dum-Dum

A gourmet grilled cheese food truck you say? OMGYES Was with friends on a walking tour of the Asheville breweries when we stopped into Green Man. A gentleman came strolling through handing out menus for this food truck parked out back. Lo and behold the awesomeness that awaited! A unique food truck, it has wood siding and resembles one of those cozy cabins people install on remote property in the mountains. Plus the big old Melt Your Heart logo on the side. Hard to miss, though looks more permanent than it is. Was greeted, provided recommendations, and placed my order. A short 5 minutes later, the most amazing gourmet grilled cheeses, asian slaw, and tomato soups awaited us. This guy does his trade well, and I will certainly return trip after trip just for some of the gooey awesomeness he is peddling. I had the Heartbreaker with hickory smoked turkey, double cream brie, and raspberry mustard. To cap it off, there was a blueberry dum-dum for dessert. Everything was on point, including the side of asian slaw and the tomato soup. The soup was more of a puree and was *souper* thick and yummy. Melt Your Heart knocks it out of the park and would break my heart if they ever close. Love you guys!

I love food trucks. They offer a great opportunity to try all types of food, from the ridiculous to the mundane, done up in quick food fashion with touches of the chefs love infused. I'm not usually a grilled cheese lover, I find them usually greasy and bland, yet this was very solid in my book. I went with a friend and tried two sandwiches, one firebird and one hog, a special that night. These were great grilled cheese sandwiches. The bread is toasty, crisp, and tasty, with a perfectly crisped outside and a melty meaty interior. The firebird has a tasty cheddar on it that melts so well, with a bacon, turkey, tomato and jalapeño combo that kicks in your mouth. The hog tasted meatier, with a pimento cheese well melted on the toast, a combo of assorted hog, with bacon and ham leading the charge. I am now a convert, ready for any Tuesday grilled cheese at the Brew Pump.

My takeout was ready on time. While the falafel roll still might have been better fresh, I wanted something that I could plausibly eat several hours later on a mountain without a ton of restaurants nearby, and that choice worked out well. Many falafel rolls come with add-ons that I don't like, but the pickled turnip offering here was both flavorful and colorful. I also got their fries, drizzles with tahini and parsley, which is a good way to eat fries. A case of baked goods and a small market section of canned items were also available. There was certainly space to eat inside or out for someone without my travel schedule. It's also notable that in addition to the usual falafel, they offer ample vegan options as befits the Asheville community, including a house seitan and some other vegetable and fake meat options. I was happy with what I got, but the choice is always appreciated.

Cassia is definitely one of the top ones. This is some of the best and most original Thai food I've ever had. They are a regular at Cellarest Beer Project in West Asheville. The food is prepared fresh, but the wait is not too long. And if you sit in the right spot, you may be able to enjoy the fragrant scent of Thai food as it is being prepared in their mobile kitchen. We started with the Firecracker sweet potatoes. These amazing little jewels are mashed sweet potatoes wrapped in the same coating as you'd normally have with a spring roll or won ton. They had a wonderful crispy outside with a flavorful sweet potato mash inside. The spicy mayo dipping sauce was excellent, but we also loved dipping these into the golden curry sauce that came with our curry duck. Where do you ever see curry duck BTW? The duck was cooked perfectly and not at all grisly or chewy. The curry sauce was absolutely incredible. Great flavor along with a nice kick. Between eating the duck and jasmine rice with the curry sauce and dipping some of the Firecrackers in it, there was literally not a speck of curry sauce left behind. We also had chicken Laab Gai. The mint leaves in this were really tasty and not overwhelmingly minty. The sticky rice was good. These came with cabbage leaves that you can roll the meat and rice up in to create a sort of Thai taco. This was good, but not at the same level as the duck curry. Maybe a bit more sauce would help. Prices are restaurant level but well worth it given this is restaurant-quality food or better. We paired the food with two fine beers from Cellarest. The Czech-style Moonglade Tmave pivo had great character. The Weald Oktoberfest Marzen lager was also excellent. Both went very well with the Thai food. Apart from maybe the dead of winter, this will be a place we go back to for more great Thai food.
