Decent smoked wings. Yummy deviled eggs. Poutine was drowning in sauce. Couldn't taste the pulled pork :(

Wings and Brisket Chili with smoked cornbread was outstanding. One of our better food truck experiences. Thank you!

The one who suggested this restaurant told the other right upfront that it's the best for this area of North Carolina and it is not Cuban food of Miami. The restaurant was busy, and of course tables are limited because of its size, but the owners were very accommodating and we appreciate that very much There is a back parking lot with three spaces, but they are for pick up only but we were given permission to use one as we had a handicap individual with us. My Cuban sandwich was just fine and tasted just like the one I had in Miami in my opinion as a gringo and everyone finished their meal without sending anything back so I would say the food was pretty good The restaurant is a order at the counter and staff will deliver it to your table. There is one unisex bathroom for All and I'm not sure about everyone else but of course our service dog was allowed. I did see two other dogs so I can only assume that pets are allowed as those two were not marked as service animals at all. I cannot think of anything that would cause me not to give this Restaurant a full five star rating

The lettuces and other vegetables were so beautifully crisp and appetizing and the dressing was freshly made on site. The protein bowl was my entree and couldn't have been more satisfying. It too was pleasing in its presentation with its perfectly grilled kernels of corn and chicken breast on top--Just delightful and the portion was generous so I had leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed the roasted turkey with cornbread dressing. Again the portions were plentiful and the plating showed the kitchen's pride by making sure everything looked as good it tasted. I could go on, but suffice it to say that we went back a couple of nights later. The menu is so varied, we could eat here for days without repeating an entree. Thanks, BMB!

They're definitely spicy, so not for the faint of heart. I also ordered the smoked Gouda veggie wrap with sweet potato fries. It was delicious and had a generous amount of pesto and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the pineapple coconut cake to take home for the next day, and it was fantastic! It was so light and refreshing. My server was very attentive and had excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be back at the bistro when I'm in town!

Mac's tag line is "best dang burgers in town!" I've only eaten one burger since arriving in Black Mountain but I can say it's the best burger I've eaten in all of Charlotte and I've eaten many. Grilled on a flat top with just enough sear to seal in the juiciness. My Patty Mac was served on fresh grilled sourdough with grilled onions and cheese. My Bride's burger was served on a substantial fresh bun with no seeds or foo foo brioche with crips veggies. She ate every bite! Hand cut fries were a generously served sufficient for two to share. That's fine in normal cold weather, but at 22 degrees the overhead heaters just don't quite cut it. I think this part of the experience could use a little revision. My wife had pancakes with vanilla syrup and sausage. I ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, grits, sausage, and toast. Everything was very flavorful. My only complaint was that my food was lukewarm. It seemed like my food may have been finished and sat for a few minutes while my wife's pancakes were completed. On a cold morning, I would have preferred a hotter meal, the grits weren't warm enough to melt the butter, and the toast was cold, so I didn't even attempt to butter it. That said, even with the temperature issue, the food was still very tasty, and given how cold it was outside, I'm willing to let it slide. Everything arrived quickly, and the restaurant itself is very quaint, set in an old home that is very clean. On our first visit, they offered chocolate chip cookies to go, and they were excellent! They didn't have any this time, but we'll be back again to try our luck. To those about to nosh, I salute you!!
