Having no way to reach him, I shotgunned calls to other dentists in the East Honolulu area and fortunately Dr. Weiss could see me that day. She took very good care of the emergency I had. Since then, Dr. Weiss has been taking excellent care of all my dental needs for the past few years. She is very knowledgable and addresses my dental issues with a high degree of professionalism and expertise. I am very comfortable with her being my dentist from here on out. So much so that I have recommended multiple family members to her. The waiting room, dental hygienist, and procedure rooms are all clean and much more modern than my prior dentist. Appointments have been on time and the front desk staff have always been nice to me. Also nice about this place is that they are located in the Kahala Mall professional building where there is ample free parking around the building and the mall. I dont know if Dr. Weiss is taking new patients at this time, but if she is and you are looking for a dentist, I strongly recommend giving her a try.

She partners with you in deciding the best course of care for you, weighing both her findings and recommendations with your own goals and circumstances. Dr. Leong made me feel comfortable right away and explained everything very clearly so I could understand my options. I've been to many different dentists here on the island, but I can honestly say he's the best dentist I've seen. A lot of dentists make you feel like they only care about the money, but Dr. Leong truly listened to my concerns and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the treatment. His assistant, Trisha, was also amazing while assisting him during my procedure. The whole experience felt very reassuring and professional. The office is small, quiet, clean. The front desk person has always been fantastic: friendly, engaged, and helpful. Both hygienists I have seen were good at what they do, not peachy about my lack of consistent flossing, and made for a good visit. Yes, yes, I know flossing is important. Dr. Takenishi is super personable. He's efficient while also providing entertaining conversation. I leave feeling good about the care I've received and my plan for keeping my teeth. We took the flight anyway and upon landing I randomly called a dentist, who himself recommended Dr. Kashiwada. He took us in immediately though he was otherwise booked. His care, compassion, obvious skill, and amazing follow-up, was unique in all my nearly seven decades. He is a clinician. He is an expert, on licensing boards, and it is a delight to be in his caring company. He allows you to enjoy a dental visit! We had never met him but immediately felt as though he had been our dentist for decades. He called us several times to be sure we could enjoy our time in Hawaii without concern for the tooth that he skillfully repaired and was our Guardian Angel. We never expected so skillful, so kind and caring, and so wise a practitioner, as we were simple transient visitors. So, how do you define a hero? Visit Dr. Kashiwada and see.
