I discovered this very cute bra boutique with my friend who needed to be properly fitted ...and not just "measured" like chain retail stores might do. MeMe knows EVERYTHING about bras and bra care and can custom order and alter your bra. I learned that you should wear different types of bras for different outfits and saw a huge difference when my friend tried on different types with her clothes. HUGE difference. Prices vary and are very reasonable compared to places like Victoria Secrets and MeMe has other underwear accessories, wash care and even fancy dresses. There's a cosy lounge and bathroom if your fella has to wait for you :) You definitely get service and expertise here that I've never seen when bra shopping at other stores. After years of HORRIBLE bra troubles, I decided to plug my measurements into a reliable online bra size calculator just to see where I was going wrong. The results were shocking! My band was wrong, my cup was very wrong, and Victoria Secret was to blame. Immediately, I began the search for something better. After learning that European brands are more uniform in their sizing, and they offer a significantly broader variety of band/cup size combos, I started the hunt to find a local fitter to fix this problem once and for all. ...And that's how I found Meme's Foundations Boutique! She was able to schedule me in for a fitting not 30 minutes after I called. (They work by appointment only.) Meme (I guess that was her name? I actually didn't catch it. Oops.) was so funny, nice, and knowledgable. She fitted me, and--lo and behold--her measurements were pretty close to the size I discovered online. Take that, Victoria Secret! Over the course of an hour, I tried on about 7+ bras and learned how bras are actually supposed to fit (and why). She even taught me how to properly care for my bras to help them last longer. I eventually ended up leaving with one amazing, and reasonably priced (~$50), bra, and had her ordering one more. (What's cool about this shop is that you don't have to pay up front for bras that you order. If you try it and don't like it, there's no commitment. And good thing, since she only allows exchanges, not refunds.) I'm so glad I found this niche little shop and can't wait for my next bra to come in! read more
