Amazing staff and doctors. Both Dr Wisbrock and Dr Marty are fantastic veterinarians who care about their patients and owners. They go out of their way to make sure I understand all of the information about my pet and go over pricing while in the room with them. The front office staff is kind and helpful as are the vet techs. Just an all-around amazing experience since I stepped into the hospital a few years ago. Absolutely fantastic! I brought my 3 legged Leo Boy (Italian Maremma) in for his constant scratching and biting of his skin the last month or so. I was greeted at the door by Emily & Erin who helped me get Leo through the office door (Lol...He did not want to go into the office) with some treats and gentle nudging. Dr Kirstin Jorgenson met us in the exam room. What a great experience! Dr Jorgenson was incredibly loving with Leo as she examined him while explaining everything to me. Leo had bloodwork, rabies shot along with a total evaluation. We were prescribed medication for fleas, ticks, heartworm along with a anti itching mousse for Leo's hot spots. I probably met every vet technician and staff as they were all incredibly loving to Leo, kind and truly helpful. This was a truly great and much appreciated visit for Leo and piece of mind for myself. I was never upsold or pressured into anything as with quite a few past experiences with other vets. Thank you! You'd think Petaluma (where I live) would have more Dr's who see chickens, so when I had a chicken emergency and was frantically calling around, Dr Lane was the first one available to take my girl. Now, she's the only one I call if I have a chicken issue come up. Ironically, I have actually never met Dr Lane, due to covid restrictions, but have only dropped my girls off and spoke with her over the phone. She's called me after hours to answer my questions or concerns, and always gives me a follow up call a few days after the appointment. It's clear she really knows chickens and cares about her patients. I highly recommend Dr Lane for anyone who has chickens. read more

I've been here for years and had no problems before Dr lane and Marty were great. I just took my dog in and there is a new vet. Every time I go they charge me for every single thing. They made me come in twice for shots instead of one time and charged me again for a "recheck" because my dogs ear was dirty. Then they charged me 100 for an ear swab without getting my consent to more charges. I had to pay 700 for a few shots and ear cleaning and swab. Before I always paid around 200 for her yearly and shots. They want to charge me 4,000 to get a tumor mass removed that might not be cancer. Redwood quoted me 1,700. While they are professional now I'm thinking they just want my money. I'm not coming back to this vet sadly and I've been here for years. read more

My experience was simply amazing. I called 20 different veterinary offices with no luck after my ball python was burned after a heat mat malfunction. This office picked up and within 5 minutes I was able to make an appointment to get her looked at the next day! Even with covid the whole process was super efficient. The vet tech was super friendly and the vet was amazingly informative and super sweet. She sent me home with pre-measured medications and my snake was obviously handled very gently as she wasn't even stressed out. all of this was just over 100$ which is insanely cheap for exotic vet care! I've been taking my pets-- two dogs, a cat, and six chickens-- to both Dr. Marty and Dr. Dell at Memorial Beach Vet since 2008. All of my family members bring their pets here as well. They are so good with animals and know how to explain things to humans in a way that makes sense. They are also very patient with anxious pet parents! Dr. Marty has basically saved (or extended) the life of five of my pets, and I love how she cares individually for each animal, even a goofy hen. My dog struggles with skin allergies and after his last two visits with Dr. Dell, she called a few days later to make sure he was doing okay. Now that's service! Most human doctors don't do that. Really glad this vet office is in my town! Edit: no changes to the substance of the review, but I want to add that every time we have been here in the last two years, it's been a wait of 15-45 mins to see the vet or tech, regardless of what we are being seen for. It hasn't been a huge deal, because they are great, but I would factor it into your schedule. read more

I am so beyond grateful for this wonderful place! My sweet hen caught a bacterial infection from some chickens I practically rescued from Western Farm Center in downtown Santa Rosa. I was so worried she wouldn't make it especially because nowhere would take her on a Saturday. But I was able to find this amazing place and she got seen by Dr. Lane. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing Dr. Lane is! She called twice to check on my hen and also prescribed the rest of my flock a broad-spectrum antibiotic! I love this place, and so does Smokey! We adopted him from HAS, and since all his medical records were already here, we decided to continue having him seen here, despite family/friend recommendations to go to "the other vet" in town. Dr. Dell has been amazing. I am definitely always a worried pet mom, and want to make sure everything I'm doing is the best for Smokey. They are always very open to scheduling last minute "emergency" visits, and are very accommodating to finding treatment options that fit your budget. Plus they are significantly cheaper than alot of other hospitals! I also highly recommend their boarding. We board Smokey here every time we have to leave town for a few days and we have a peace of mind that if something were to go wrong, he is in great hands. The staff their LOVES Smokey and he always gets amazing treatment. ONCE AGAIN, Memorial Beach Vet trying to get MORE money out of us because we want to buy heartworm meds somewhere else. They say its a LAW you have yearly physical and heartworm test on our dogs. I remember when I first came in, they got me for close to 400.00 on one dog, saying we needed everything under the sun done on him. Of course I later found out we didn't. I had the upmost terrifying experience at this vet. these guys almost killed my dog with thyroid medication (thyroxine) a synthetic thyroid medication, They charged me a rediculous amounts of money!! blood test after blood test my dog didnt eat for two weeks and they had me force feeding my dog What the??? I've never been made to "feel bad" about not being able to afford every treatment - which is important to me since I have 5 dogs. We've been going to Memorial Beach for over 14 years and have always been very happy with the care our animals have gotten here. All of the vets are excellent -- they really love animals, they take great pains to explain what they're doing and why, and they understand the human factor that plays into dealing with animal injuries and problems. The vets themselves are skilled and caring. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We've also used their boarding facility and have always been pleased. Our dog loves going there. This isn't a budget operation. Yes, their charges are not low; it's not a discount veterinary clinic or pet food supply house. I drive from Santa Rosa to Healdsburg because everyone from my vet, Dr. Chick Warner, to the assistants and front desk staff have ALWAYS give my dogs, my cat and even me, ( I a human being) the best attention and utmost care and respect. I found myself taking care of my baby (striper) by myself since my husband passed away. He was just diagnosed with an early kidney problem. Needs to be injected with fluids once a week. Striper's sister passed away in September with kidney failure. While we were in Mexico for a month. The house sitter found boobette very sick and took her to the vet. Dr. Dell took care of her to the end and made a phone call to Mexico to let us know what happen. She was creamated. They took care of everything until we got back from our vacation. I take both of my dogs to this veterinary clinic and would not trust anyone else with them. They have taken great care of us through dentals, vaccines, spays and gastroplexies. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and always includes me in the treatment plan like the important "mom" I am. There may be a few things a bit more compared to some local vets. BUT...that being said, MBVH is the best as I have trusted them with my dogs, cats and rabbits since I moved to CA 19 years ago and I would go nowhere else! They have and use the latest technology and medical information. The doctors and techs truly show care and concern! I too am surprised at some of the negative reviews. If you don't have a problem being overcharged for every treatment then come to memorial. When I first went to get canned CD for my Maine Coon they tried to charge $8 more for fish flavored, which is bs and when I made a fuss they brought the price the same as the chicken flavored, thought it may have been just an honest mistake. I then had them do teeth cleaning and it was supposed to be a certain price, but they called and said he had a cavity and needed to extract a 3 root tooth, ended up costing near $800, which is about 200-350 more than other vets would charge after checking. He then a month later had a wound on his rear paw which was a tumor, they extemated the cost at 12-1500, I asked the vet since I'm a senior and not working if they could bring it down, it ended up costing $1000, which is 2-300 more than other vets in the area. Then to top it off and get me to leave them and post this, they charged me for change of bandage when I brought him in a few days later to check how he was with stitches on his foot still. At every single event they try and squeeze you for more money. They lie and can't be trusted at all. Its not that they're not able to do the work, just totally greedy.... read more

H o r r i b l e. This was the worst vet experience ever for our dog. The diagnosis was wrong and the medicines x 6 months the incorrect which put our dog at great risk. We opted for a referral for an emergency vet appointment and were given a great choice, tho not in Healdsburg. The correct dx was made by blood work and not just an overweight looking belly. Poor sweet dog we have and she will now suffer even more due to the inept DVM and unfortunate lack of research for the condition. It is not totally uncommon in dogs / humans, but it was SO noticed by two other vets immediately we were surprised that we let the problem go on for so long. Thus, if you just "wonder" if the diagnosis and treatment(s) is correct - beware ! read more
