Update: To this day no acknowledgement of the fact it was her that chose to go forward with our appointment despite our request to reschedule because the sedatives hadn't had time to kick in for our dog Taz. Low and behold, on the very last day of the two year window to submit a claim against our homeowners insurance her lawyer submits a claim for $75,000 Displaying no prior urgency then submitting a claim at the last minute, given the California Veterinarians Rule, obvious negligence and zero concern for how this could affect us. Clearly Dr Foley is devoid a moral compass. The omission of facts, half-truths and mental gymnastics required to justify are all signs a moral compass is missing. A last minute money grab hedging a bet for a settlement knowing they wouldn't stand a chance in court is nothing more than a bottom feeder scam. Psychopaths are adept at mimicking displays of empathy. I sensed it, we mentioned it to one another and now wish we'd taken it more serious. Don't ignore the odd feeling you're conversing with a robot. The smiling images above are propaganda and the show of concern for your pets wellbeing is Oscar worthy. More like Dr Folly. Dr. Foley is one of the best Vets we have ever had. We have been going to her for 10 years. She helped with our dog who had degenerative myliopathy and was in a wheelchair. She is so professional but also compassionate. When it came time for our older dogs final day she came to our home and it was the best possible way for them to be outside, in a place of comfort. Dr Foley is extremely interested and attentive when discussing any of our pets needs. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. My little yorkie Sparkle gets very stressed when going into a vet office. Dr Foley will take the time for however many phone conversations are needed to treat my babies. If she is booked and can't come to me we have the option of meeting her to get meds quick gists etc to provide care for our pets. She is concerned and cares about my critters well being. My partner called Dr. Foley so she could approve some new flea medication for our cat. She said she would have to see our cat in person to authorize this medication. While looking at our cat she claimed his nasal congestion was emanating from his lungs and prescribed a course of antibiotics as well as medication for his red eyes. She also gave him 2 vaccines. Subsequently, our cat's digestive system was destroyed. I took him to another vet who said his congestion and red eyes were a result of his eyelashes growing inward instead of outward. This vet could do nothing to restore our cat's destroyed stomach and appetite. Dr. Foley's incompetent diagnosis and over medication resulted in a slow two month death eventually due to starvation. Dr. Foley killed our cat! read more

We had Dr. Foley come to our house and do exams on 2 cats and 3 dogs. She was very compassionate and patient with my animals. Two of the dogs can be a bit of a handful but she did a great job. I knew Dr Foley some years ago when she was at another office. Just yesterday we had to put our beloved Border Collie Emma to sleep. My regular Vet could not help and I called Dr. Foley that morning. My dog is a difficult patient who had a severe earache that could not be addressed properly through my other vet after several months. Not only did Dr. Foley successfuly cure his earache, but she also kept asking 'What else?' to make sure I got my money's worth from the visit and provided sound advice on several other matters. Doctor Foley I have five cats that I've never once missed a vaccination, I take such good care of my animals. I read your review and Kiki passed away and was in pain that entire week before I changed veterinarians, your review is still uncompassionate you never once said how sorry you were that Kiki went through such extreme pain you were just trying to backpedal that you drive all over the county and that I didn't keep up-to-date on my vaccinations which is completely untrue.. you didn't even prescribe any pain medication, absolutely nothing was done that entire week. By the way I had stopped coming to you for vaccination with my other cats when you were pushing too many meditations on me that were un necessary and your expensive on vaccinations compared to other vets....then you prescribed Lucky a steroid when it can cause cat diabetes in large Maine coons - Our new vet took Lucky off the steroid immediately, he has no skin problems but he suffered also during the time you were overseeing him. His skin condition never improved under your care. So this is three out of five cats but I've been really unhappy with your service. I'm just disappointed that I used you for two years when I shouldn't have. read more

If you live in the area and have a pet who, like my kitty Zoe, hates going in her carrier and the car with the fire of a thousand suns, Sonoma County Mobile Vet is a wonderful option! Dr. Foley is friendly and great with nervous pets, and super nice about working with your schedule and needs. She comes right to my parking lot, so even though Zoe still has to get shoved in her carrier, it's only for the couple minutes it takes to get outside. The van is basically a vet's exam room on wheels. Costs are reasonable and honestly, it's totally worth it if it means not having to deal with a pet who decides to announce her displeasure with a car ride by going to the bathroom in the carrier. We made the best decision to use a mobile veterinary service for our three dogs. First, less stress for our older dog - and, all our dogs are so much more relaxed at home - which means less stress for us - especially loading our older dog in the car! Dr. Janet Foley and her vet assistant Ann were absolutely wonderful. With two dogs, one senior and one a skittish rescue dog, trips to a vet office is no longer an option for us. Dr. Foley's mobile vet hospital is awesome, fully equipped to do everything you need for your pet. As a dog owner herself, she understood the needs of both our dogs and gave them a complete exams, vaccines and any meds they needed. Except for the nominal visit charge, the costs were the same or less that what I am used to paying at our last vet. We had our old dog take a turn for the worse and Dr Foley came out to check her out. She was very skillful and explained all probable outcomes with expertise and compassion. When we realized our old girl needed to be put down Dr Foley rearranged her schedule to come back. She gave us support as we said good-bye to our family dog, the transition was smooth and painless for old Greta. When we recently had a question about another one of our dogs Dr Foley called us back and gave her helpful advice, saving us all a trip to the vet. Dr. Foley and her vet tech were wonderful. Our sweet senior pup declined rapidly in the end and Dr. Foley fit us in at the end of her busy day to make sure we could both be there with our dog as she passed. She was kind, professional, thorough, and incredibly responsive throughout the process of scheduling and performing the procedure. We were heart broken but her bed-side manner and calm caring demeanor made a terrible experience as smooth as it could possibly be. Our pup was relaxed and comfortable as she transitioned. I only wish we had discovered Dr. Foley sooner and had used her services all along with way. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the skillful way that Dr. Janet Foley and her assistant helped my beloved 18 year old cat peacefully transition out of her life. I had been putting off euthanizing my severely ill kitty for 3 years, terrified that it would be botched and that she would end up panicking or terrified in her last moments. She had always been an outdoor cat, and was terrified of vets, so I opted to allow her to live out her life free from vet visits. She lived to at least 18 years, which is an impressive age for a semi-feral cat. However, with the end of the warm weather and her illness worsening by the day, we finally decided it was time for her to make the transition. My mom called Sonoma County Mobile Vets and we scheduled a 3pm appointment. I managed to find and catch Kitty, and I was very grateful that she was willing to participate in the process...she didn't fight or resist at all, which was unusual, as she rarely let me pick her up in the 3 years of her illness. But today was a beautiful day. We fed her last meal out on the deck in the sun, and I brushed her and washed her face, and she took a catnap in the warm afternoon sun. She strolled into her favorite garden patch to enjoy the flowers and the view one last time, then allowed me to pick her up and swaddle her in a towel, and lovingly rock her on the swingset into a meditative quiet state, all the while telling her how much we loved her and what a good Kitty she had been for the last 18 years. At this time, Dr. Foley showed up. I had instructed my mom to not let anyone move quickly or make loud sounds so that we could keep the cat in a meditative, receptive mood. She was always an extremely nervous and flighty, and she would usually hide under the house if I even *thought* the word "vet", so I was terrified that she would get spooked if she picked up that there was going to be any kind of "vet" activity, much less one leading to her death! When the Dr. arrived, I introduced the cat to her. I said, "Kitty, this is the Doctor, and she's here to make you feel better." We decided to go inside to a closed bedroom to do the procedure just in case Kitty decided to run for it. Fortunately, I think she realized what was going on, and was tired of being ill, and surrendered fully into a deeply relaxed snuggle in my arms. I loved her up as much as I could, and then Janet asked me to lay her on her side with her head on my lap. I was absolutely amazed that Kitty didn't even blink an eye...usually she would have freaked out by now. She was so blissed out, I think knowing that her end had finally come, and that she was going to be cared for with love. Janet stretched out her legs, and shaved off a bit of fur, and then a few seconds later, she started the injection. Kitty didn't bat an eyelid. She was just completely at peace. Within a few seconds, I sensed that she was no longer breathing. She became perfectly still. I was still gently stroking her forehead, and holding my hand on her heart, with her head on my lap. Dr. Foley checked her heartbeat, and pronounced her "gone". The entire process with the vet took about 5 minutes. It was quick, easy and painless. I am so deeply grateful that Kitty was able to enjoy the rare blessing of being able to die warm and comfortable in the arms of the one who loved her the most.
