They have plenty of benches to either read or enjoy your lunch. I went today to walk and enjoy the sunshine. TOTALLY safe by myself! They have bochii ball, disc park, basketball court, outdoor skating area, fenced dog park, etc. They also have a large covered area with picnic tables and grills. The park has 2 separate fenced areas with slides and other fun things for the kiddos. I noticed there is several public restrooms throughout the park There is also a renovated baseball field inside the park. There is a pond and most of the walking trails are pretty flat and easy to walk. I love to come here and throw a Frisbee or just chill under one of the massive trees that are all around the park. Centrally located. And close to everything. So quiet in the mornings! This is my happy place to relax!

The walkways are paved and ADA. In addition, the public swimming pool and Lodge are located here. The park hosts summer concerts and special events. The Lodge is a hop skip n jump next door to the pool, playground, and basketball courts. It's an event building available for rent. It has a kitchen, restrooms, tables, chairs, projector, and seating for 120 for dining. There are picnic area throughout the park as well. The areas have tables, BBQs, and some have electrical hookups. These can be reserved via the parks and recreation website. There is a creek that runs through the park that's makes a beautiful trickling sound when the water flow is high. Peaceful vibes. But as in all public spaces, please be cautious and aware of your surroundings.

Each year the quality of the class gets worse. I'm out for 2025's morning class until they get a real instructor. It's too bad since the pool is lovely. It has a ton of soccer fields, open fields, baseball fields and space for the family to enjoy the day. Bring a snack, there are no vendors. The restrooms are usually locked but they have porta potty's. During the days or weekend you might see the corn person (amazing) and during soccer games they something have the snack at open! Parking is $5 during games. Free if you don't park in the game area (a small walk) There is plenty of shade! Bring a chair and canopy if you'll be here for a while. It is right next to the river bottoms so if you're here for an event, walk over to take a look! Located next to grocery stores and restaurants. It's a good park for the community athletes to have.

The snack bar is a little expensive (that's to be expected) and you can't always expect the greatest service because most of the employees are teenagers but it's well worth the fun. Also, for anyone reading this who's never been before: watch out for the seats right underneath the lights. Once it gets dark and they put those puppies on you'll be swarmed with some of the largest, scariest, and frankly most persistent bugs you have ever seen!

I was hoping not slip on the ice glazed ground. Thanks to the melting ice and freezing wind for making this happen. Ignoring the warnings posted before entering the park, low and behold I slipping and sliding on thin ice. We just took a quick trip here to take some family photos. The view of the lake during the winter time was spectacular! Seeing the beauty of nature here makes it worth stepping out the car to stay warm. Word of advice. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS POSTED BEFORE ENTERING THE PARK! Or you'll get acquainted with the ground fairly quickly.

It is not very well though out as…read morethe weight room is very small, the pool is nice but only 6 lanes, not adequate for swim meets and the lighting is too bright, The cost of admission has tripled $8 to $10 compared to the old pool, with no local or senior rate. The locker rooms are nice to look at but not functional, there is one small one person bench some lockers and no hooks at the 3 showers for towels or to hang your close on, so you will probably be putting them in the floor, I can't imagine how more than 3-4 people will take showers and dress at a time let alone a large group. The lobby is way too big if you just want to sit around, but that's not what we are there for. I will probably drive down to The Carson Valley Swim Center most of the time.

There was a old merry go round, swings and a teeter totter. When I got older I brought my girls to play here in the 80's and 90's, and now I have brought my grand kids here to play. So now 4 generations of McNatt's have played in Rotary Park. Hopefully the tradition of coming back to this park will continue for generations to come.
