This place is amazing every time we come here. Our regulars are the Washington Burrito and Carne asada fries. They are a little pricey but their portions and ingredient quality make up for it! Waaaay better than Tacoma Memos! They're also pretty quick. We can always smell the food from outside while we wait in-line and their building is so cute all lit up! For the most part I love this place, the only part I have a problem with is when they have a guy running the drive thru. The ladies are great, the guys,....expect the line to move very slow, and they will screw up your order,....guaranteed ! ! ! I always get extra beans,...ladies always get it right, the guys ALWAYS give me rice,...even though it's correct on the receipt. Knowing this, I pulled it out of the bag, looked at it and handed it back and said " I ordered beans",...he argued with me, I showed him the receipt....he gave me the rice, and the beans. The person working the drive through had a difficult time comprehending English. She did not understand when I tried to explain to her that I didn't want something if it couldn't be served without meat. This was in spite of the fact that the menu outside the restaurant clearly stated that it was served without me. She tried to tell me I had to have the item, with the meat. When she finally understood that I wasn't accepting that she felt the need to bring in some other person. This gentleman had better English skills but failed to understand the situation then chose to be slightly hostile while asking me to calm down. The menu is awesome! So much to choose from. My go to is the shrimp jumbo burrito and the taquitos. What I really love about this place is the fact that it's open 24 hours a day, both the lobby and the drive-through. I work evenings so this is a perfect place to stop and get dinner on the way home and I never have to worry about rushing to get there before they close. The staff is always friendly and the prices are great. No where else can you get a shrimp jumbo burrito, with quality ingredients, and taste this good, for $7. Drive through people are usually surly at fast food restaurants but not at Auburn Memo's. They churros are the best. Way better than Tacoma Memo's and way way waaaayyy better than University Memo's. If you're in the University district, Seattle don't even bother with Memo's. Awful food, awful people. Bums on the sideway. No parking. There is a salsa bar that is apparently a help your self, and they wanted to charge me because I wanted to have two jalapeños. Go to the Taco Time nearby. Best meal in the house is Super Nachos. But it is massive. Their salsas are tangy and spicy but not killer hot. The red is a little spicier than the green. Both add flavor rather than so much heat you can't find the flavor. We always enjoy the food at the Auburn Memo's. We were accidentally given a fish taco when we ordered a single shrimp taco along with the fish taco meal and carne asada fries. This is the second time a mistake was made. The first time, we received a cheese quesadilla instead of the chicken quesadilla we ordered. We have been frequenting here at least weekly. Best carne asada fries I have ever had!! It's a pretty big portion with lots of fries topped with carne asada, guac, sour cream, beans, and cheese for only $7.50 (with tax). You can also get as many lines and hot sauce you want with it, free of charge! Their service is O.K, a lot of the times I'm on my phone because they are busy. There's multiple locations but they are all under different names like California Burrito in Des Moines (their carne asada fries aren't as good tho). Most locations have a drive-thru, so convenient for those quick pick-ups and avoiding the rain. Sometimes he loves it and others he gets a funny piece of meat that we call carbuncles. When he gets a piece of meat like that he gets a little grossed and. But I think he's only got a carbuncle once. We did get "chip with cheese once and we thought it was weird that the cheese was not melted. My husband was kinda bummed. But to me they reminded me of childhood, sitting on the sand in Huntington beach eating strip and cheese with my sisters and mom. The burrito are huge. The menu is large and they are open all night. First time at this location. Always passed by this restaurant numerous times prior. But decided to grab some breakfast and lunch before going to work. The customer service enthusiasm from the employees was a let down. But I cannot place that on the employees because, Memo's is open 24/7. The awkward greeting between myself and the woman taking my order at the register was probably not her fault. Who knows. She'd probably been working a double. Purchased a steak and egg breakfast burrito and a torta sandwich. By my surprise the breakfast burrito wasn't too bad. I'll try the torta sandwich for lunch/dinner. I still feel as the amount I paid was too high of a price. But restaurant needs to make money to survive. All in all I would recommend folks to try Memo's for themselves to see if they like it. This is a good fast food type Mexican food. It's comparable to California Burrito. My husband really likes the menudo very authentic and fresh. I tried a burrito and really liked it. The carne asada was not fatty and had a good flavor. I also tried a chicken enchilada and it was better than most restaurants. The enchilada sauce did not have a vinegar taste like some places do.
