This (almost) guilt-free shop shares a plaza with my gym - what better way to celebrate a good workout than with a sweet treat? They have plenty of options to choose from. I decided on the strawberry shortcake with strawberry and Oreo toppings. Gloves and sanitizer were required (and appreciated) to use the stations. The cashier was also pleasant making it an overall enjoyable experience. Can't wait for the next one!

Caramel & Raspberry Taffy, chocolate & original, and then more caramel with all different kinds of toppings!

I was looking for a low carb, sugar free dessert and I found a little something at Menchie's. Peanut butter Banana Mango Cookies n cream Chocolate Original Caramel Raspberry taffy There may have been a few more I'm forgetting but I think they rotate flavors because mango was their featured flavor. They had a lot of toppings but nothing sugar free. Fruit, cereals, waffle cone chips, brownies, and then fudge, caramel, and other toppings. I got the caramel and a little of the raspberry taffy since they were the sugar free ones. Raspberry taffy was okaaaay but the caramel was really good! They charge you by how much your cup weighs. There were three of us and it was a little over $16 all together so not bad at all.

They are located on the back side of the Bridgewater Falls shopping area. Inside is modern and minimalist, but clean and welcoming. Menu in chalk on the walls, plenty of seating inside, I don't believe there are any seats outside, or maybe just the time of year being cold. The girl behind the counter was very nice and made my drink perfectly. I got their standard milk tea with black teas as the base and with boba of course. The tea itself was sweet, not overly sweet though and the boba's were excellent. Soft, sweet with a hint of honey. The Boba can make or break a boba shop. Living in Los Angeles, there are so many places to choose from, but not all are good, sometimes the boba is off. Milk Jar does the drink perfect as well as the Boba, so I was really happy to find a great spot in Ohio to get boba whenever I come to visit Family. I would recommend you trying them out for their drinks and boba. They also have rolled ice cream and shaved ice, both of which I did not try but looked very good. Enjoy!

They have a great variety of drinks, rolled ice cream, and cereal bowls to choose from. They do offer samples of their teas for you to try. That was nice and it really helped make the decision what to get. The price of the drinks were comparable to other places. The drinks we ordered tasted really good and refreshing. We didn't care for their joke of the day when we were in there. Overall, it's a good place to get boba tea and other refreshing tea or fruit drinks. Maybe one day we will try their rolled ice cream....it sounded good.

Grannies Cookie Jar & Ice Cream Parlor is a Metamora, Indiana icon, though it may be weird to call…read moreanything in this historic Franklin County town an actual "icon." There's quite a bit you know about me if you've followed my reviews for any length of time. This likely includes my long friendship with fellow Yelp Elites Rick G. and Holly G. - in fact, I performed their wedding ceremony! The three of us have actually collaborated on quite a few projects over the years, either due to Rick's music and comedy or because of my long history of activism and charity work. Frequently, our collaborations combine Rick and Holly's creativity with my activist spirit. For a couple years, Rick and Holly owned a shop in Metamora called Mosaic Learn & Play - I, in turn, owned a small charity bookstore within the walls of Mosaic. While I never spent nearly as much time in Metamora as did Rick and Holly, I spent my fair share of time there and grew to appreciate the picturesque, friendly town. Rick and Holly's wedding was even in Metamora! As is true of most historic towns, accessibility can definitely be an issue in Metamora. Truthfully, I'd say there's more that's not accessible than there actually is accessible in the town. Grannies is most certainly not perfect, a step greeting you at the front door and a crowded shop making even the most experienced wheelchair user more than a little paranoid. It's possible, I've been to Grannies more than once, but it's definitely a shop where I take my time wheeling and I am super careful everywhere I turn. Grannies, first of all, is an official world record holder. Granny owns over 2600 cookie jars - and I believe they're all actually here in this shop. She's held the record since 2012, as I recall. Grannies is, of course, an ice cream shop. Granny even makes all of her waffle cones by hand. Each one has a Hershey kiss at the bottom. She puts a whole lot of love in her waffle cones. The ice cream is pretty incredible, too. She has quite a few flavors and they're at reasonable prices for pretty darn amazing servings. Grannies is open 7 days a week throughout the year. While I can't say I'd drive all the way to Metamora for her ice cream, if I am in the Metamora there's no way I'm leaving without stopping at Grannies. Metamora is a beautiful little canal town. It has definitely been impacted by the pandemic, but the people are also hanging in there. I'm not quite going to say that time stands still here, but it's sure not a place you go to speed up. Metamora is a surprisingly easy drive from Indy and the entire Franklin County area could easily be a relaxing, fairly isolated day trip with Brookville also nearby as the seat of the county. There are even a couple places you can stay in Metamora, though they aren't particularly strong with access and you'd probably want to go to Brookville if that's needed. If you get a chance, head south to Metamora and be sure to stop in at Grannies for some ice cream and definitely check out those cookie jars!

Not just wall to wall... there are added sections in the middle, too! That's not mentioning the back room also has a ton of cookie jars! There are cookie jars shaped like fruit. There are cookie jars shaped like iconic characters. There are cookie jars with Coca Cola theme. Christmas. Animals. Just seriously, so. Many. Cookie. Jars. They do also have some coffee mugs and salt and pepper shakers. Bottom line, this shop is so quirky that I can't help but stop in when I'm in town. I just watch my step and make sure my purse won't knock the shelves. In Grannie's, if you break it, you buy it! PS -- there is a bathroom in the hall between the front room and back room, should you need one. They can be difficult to locate in Metamora if you don't know where they are.

This one was weighed and allowed to remain. Their frozen cream is sorcery--soft where ice should harden, warming the spirit though born of cold. No matter how long it rests in the deepest keep, it returns whole and unbroken. This bears no relation to the Golden Arch Tavern, where standards are discussed but rarely enforced, and where the ice-cream machine is so often fallen that many believe it legend. I conclude that High King Richard Graeter cannot be merely a man. Such mastery suggests knowledge beyond the common order--mystic arts, dark arts, or something older still. He is kin in spirit to High Wizard Jungle Jim, whose robes and spectacle stand as proof that magic yet walks among us. I favor the hall of House Graeter within the Vale of Spring, though high kings and common folk alike speak highly of Fountain Square, where this house holds court before the realm. The stewards of this house are attentive and gracious, serving with a care that suggests pride rather than obligation--a rarity in this age. Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip bears my seal--balanced and exact. Boldly Bearcat stands as a loyal companion, never the crown, yet always welcome at the table. When Graeter's is set before me, my stomach knows no bounds--and neither should yours. Let it be entered into record: the House of Golden Tongue stands with House Graeter against any foe. 10 out of 10. -The Food Lord, House of Golden Tongue

Our office gets special treats on birthdays and I got to enjoy the coffee ice cream and I was in love. The texture was like silk on your tongue. The hint of coffee was just enough to fit through the sweetness to make it out of this world divine!!!!! So I'll shut my piehole about the coffee ice cream and talk about the other things Rowlett's has to offer. They have a large variety of cheeses, ice creams, ice creams and butter. I was looking forward to buying some butter for the banana bread I'm getting ready to make; however, they were sold out. Oh well, i'll have to make another trip there I guess. This business is locally owned by brother and sister Terry and Sharon Rowlett. I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon when I visited today and she was as nice as she could be. This is most definitely worth the drive and a great way to support local business. Y'all gotta make the trip. You won't regret it.
