I was deflated and feeling skeptical it could be fixed, but he solved it! I look back and think it's a miracle and a testament to Armando's 1. critical problem solving skills and 2. skill and experience, 3. work ethic, and 4. love of his job. 3 roofers couldn't figure the issue out at all including the original roofer, and the 4th roofer I suspect did not want to do the work. The end product of the repair is beautiful and flawless and of the highest quality - he took great effort to match the exact paint/stucco color in the repair (yet another testament to him wanting to do the repair RIGHT, once and for all). We feel indebted to Armando and now will use him for any future repairs to our house. With his more than reasonable rates, I think he by far blows the competition in the Monterey/Carmel/Pebble area out of the water.

First off I had written…read morea review approximately 10 months ago, which was a good review for some " Handyman work" Florberto had done for us. I do not doubt that he is a good handyman. The problem I had was when Florberto was here he had pointed out to me the rotting wood around the exterior front window of our home and that he could fix it. Being naïve that I was and not realizing that a license contractor should do a job like this i hired him. A few days went by when he was here and I noticed sheet rock chunks breaking off of the interior wall because of all the hard pounding he was doing which was concerning. I ordered a window (per his advice) to replace the one around the wood rot and he told me to call him when the window comes in so I assumed he had finished what he could do until that time. About a day later, I had another Handyman come to put up a barn door and he pointed out to me that I was going to have a huge problem because it was in the forecast to rain for the next five days and he showed me the open spaces all around the window where the wood rot had been. I found out that Florberto had taken some of the wood rot off and left everything completely exposed and with the rain coming it was going to be soaking into the interior walls and cause even more damaged than there was before. I was shocked that he left everything unfinished. I ended up having to hire, which I should've done in the first place a licensed contracting company who had to take everything that he had done off because it was done incorrectly, and correct his mistakes and then do the job. It cost me $9000 which because of the rain there was only so much we could do to protect the exposed openings all around the window until the contractors could start. This was a big lesson for me and Florberto should never have started something that first off he is not licensed to do and I believe he got in way over his head.If he would have just been honest with me and let me know that we needed to get somebody to fix everything it would've definitely saved me some money and stress. I have posted some photos of how he left the job. Luckily, I had not paid him much even though I not realizing until the contractors got here how poorly the work he did was.

Because furniture was blocking access to baseboards in the entry and dining room, it would be necessary to return at a later date to paint them. José Rangel, the owner, was amenable to this request without hesitation. The following week, Jerry came to paint. What a wonderful man and great painter! He and his assistant meticulously laid out tape and paper along all the baseboards and gave them two coats of paint. Not one drop was spilled onto the new floors! Jerry returned eight days later to finish the project. I highly recommend Master Painting and Coatings, and especially Jerry!

We set up a day for him to come look over my home and list of things that I needed installed and fixed. Randy gave me a super reasonable rate per hour and we set up far for him to return and work. The day of the job (I was late) he was ready to start and quick to finish the first project. I had a list of about a dozen things. Everything from installing a range hood, rewiring switches, fixing vent fans, doors, windows, toilets..... The list goes on. He finished everything and the sun was still shining. He even noticed that I was missing a few rails on my porch, found them, and secured them back in place. It wasn't my list but he did it anyway. Nice. I have to say that Randy is honest, hard working and very thorough. He works very clean and is very knowledgeable about almost every part of a home. Even mobile homes. I will not hesitate to call him if I need any handyman service in the future. You shouldn't either. If you've got something that needs a handyman's attention, he's the guy!
