Good home-town pizza parlor. GREAT pizza, good beverages and pizza parlor ambience, and friendly staff. Could stand for a bit of attentiveness to the dining area ("bus your own table" isn't exactly inviting) but the food and beer are great.

This place brought back a lot of college memories. I didn't go to school in the area, but every college town has to have at least one pizza parlor. So I'm sure this place is busy when Western Oregon University is in session. Visiting on a holiday weekend, however, we had the place pretty much to ourselves. I have to admit that I sort of enjoyed the Western atmosphere. Not authentic Western, more of a 70s interpretation of the old West. They have faux saloon doors at the entrance and the theme continues a bit on the inside. The restaurant also has four video games and the space is dominated by a large stove in the center of the room. Even though it is a decent sized pizza place, it is definitely set up for you to take your pizza to go. There is a drive thru window and a table set up with items to package your pizza or leftovers. The pizzas were both overdone and underdone. We ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza and Cheese and Pepperoni. Both pies were undercooked and the cheese was not fully melted. The BBQ chicken doesn't have marinated chicken, but instead the sauce is generously spread all over the top. The effect was over sweet. So the pizza was OK if you go in expecting just a basic pie. There is no subtlety here. Service was fine and they gave us the remote control so we could choose whatever we wanted to watch on the large flatscreen TV. There is a second room with more natural light, that would be a good choice for parties or private functions. In an area with more competition, this would be a two. But, having driven through Monmouth and Independence, there isn't much local competition, especially on a Sunday.

Good food but I guess they can't read, and I can't drink regular soda.

Really great toppings. Friendly staff. The reason I am not giving four stars-- update the decor.

Not my cup of tea, their pizza is Plain Jane, not the kind of pizza I would keep going back for.

Decent pizza. Haven't had many of their pizzas so TBD on overall thought. Good though if you want pizza.

If you like burnt pizza go to Mendis. I've been living here for 12 years and it never fails that they burn my pizza.

Walked in expecting a normal dinner, immediately realized we had made a tactical error in the best way possible. The place was packed, loud, and had that kind of energy you can't really fake. Solid 10/10 on vibes if you're in the mood for it (and even if you're not, you adjust quickly). Despite being clearly short staffed, the service was impressively good. Not "everything is perfectly on time" good, but "everyone is working hard, communicating, and actually cares" good. They were very upfront and apologetic about the delays, which honestly went a long way. Food came out a bit slower than usual (again, not surprising given the circumstances), but overall I'd put it at a strong 8/10. Nothing overhyped, just well-executed and worth ordering again. I had the classic lager and it was meh. This is very subjective I realize but I'd rate it a 4 or 5/10. All things considered, it could have easily been a frustrating experience walking in on one of the busiest nights of the year, but it wasn't. Credit to the staff for keeping things running and keeping the tone positive. I'd come back, ideally on a slightly less festive evening, but also kind of glad I saw it at full capacity.

We were finally greeted and seated by our waiter. He was the star of the place. Super attentive, polite, professional, and patient. The ambiance here is cool. There's indoor seating and outdoor seating. The decor was nice and the place felt clean. No complaints there. The issue was the food. We ordered the hot honey wings, the grilled chicken Cobb, the gilga-burger, the guacamole bacon burger, and the campus burger. None hit the mark. When you walk into a brewery that looks this great, you kind of expect more from the food. The wings didn't have flavor. The burgers had the taste of old grease. It left us all disappointed. Overall, the ambiance was great and our waiter was awesome, but the food left a lot to be desired.

Hubs had the half Belgian waffle bacon and egg. I wanted to try their skillet Hot Mess. Needless to say I wolfed half of my huge delicious breakfast and wanted to try my hubs waffles. And I'm sorry to say I ate most of it!! They were so light and tasted fantastic! I am a traditional waffle kinda gal but these have definitely changed me! Our server was so attentive and made sure our coffee and water was always topped off. Even tho we were full...or should I say I was, we really wanted to try their chocolate cream pie. AGAIN! Did not disappoint! This place is a must try! Found out they have their own brewery. So if you're into beer this is the place! They have a great outside seating area too!

THe seating area was great, with a roof providing shade but still allowing for fresh air. Service was very friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar burger and my companion went with the Cowboy Philly Sandwich, both with fries. The Bacon Cheddar burger was great. A thick beef patty was paired with bacon and cheddar. The sauce was a nice, creamy 1000 island. It was rich and messy. The fries were good too. The brioche bun was soft and rich; it held up nicely. The Cowboy Philly Sandwich was an interesting combination of beef brisket, pepper jack cheese, grilled onions and red peppers. The sauce was a chipotle mayonnaise. There was slaw on the side. I just had a bite, but it all tasted good and went together well. This is a solid place for a good breakfast or lunch/dinner with great service.
