We ordered from the outside window, so we didn't see the inside, but the woman (older, shorter hair, and glasses) helping us was incredibly friendly. We ordered six different cookies to sample, and every one of them was delicious. She mentioned they've been making the cookies for 42 years, and it happened to be my 42nd birthday! Was in town for a day. I was in the mood for dessert. Saw that this place was down the street. I got 4 cookies to sample. First off all the cookies were $2 each. Friendly coffee shop with a parking lot! You walk into this building and it's on the side by the street. Very chill vibes and so many enticing pastries! We ended up getting a scone and a chocolate shortbread cookie. Scone was yummy and the cookie was perfect if you're looking for a shorter cookie that has lots of rich depth, almost like a brownie. Love myself a fresh, warm cookie! With each cookie being $2 it's easy to try them all. We ended up trying chocolate chip, peanut butter, and chocolate chip with walnuts. Chocolate chip is a standard go to for us, and it was done incredibly well. Of the three, I personally liked the walnut one more because it gives texture and offsets the sweetness. Service was great. They answered several questions for us which we appreciated. They even have dog treats that are complementary if you ask. It seems to be popular with the locals. The cookies were kind of hit and miss. I was disappointed that the peanut butter cookies weren't very good. They were kinda on the dry side. The chocolate chip ones were pretty good. The dark chocolate ones were even better! I believe one of them was coffee flavored or something and that was the best! I got the dark roast and it wasn't that strong. I definitely wouldn't go with the medium roast. This is coming from someone doesn't drink coffee very often. Stopped in for a dozen to go recently, the small little eclectic kiosk cookie shop hit the mark. In the front right hand corner of the building, on the Main Street side. Walk up counter service, the young woman taking my order was professional and kind, she got my order bagged and packed in minutes and I paid and was on my way. Definitely make a quick stop here! If you are a fan of chocolate muffins, I HIGHLY recommend getting one. Such a moist, well made pastry. Their bear claw was great as well! If you want to spice things up, try their green chile cheddar scone. It has good heat (but nothing too crazy) and was super moist. Quick and efficient cookie shop in Mendocino with great selection and friendly service. Stopped by here for a quick snack before getting on the Skunk Train for an evening trip to the Glen Blair Bar. We popped into the Mendocino Cookie co. When we walked in we were promptly asked for our order. We ended up asking for recommendations and were told to get the peanut butter cookie and the backpacker. Both cookies were excellent - the backpacker was my personal favorite. We came here after visiting Glass Beach and are so glad that we did! The cookies are freshly baked and also very reasonable, at just over $1.50 each. We tried most of the cookies that were available, though I think the junkyard (or garbage truck - I forget, but basically the everything cookie) and the cinnamon sugar were out. I'm sure I would have loved the cinnamon sugar. But we ordered a medium hot chocolate, and a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate chip walnut cookie, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and ginger cookie. Each cookie was soft on the inside with crisp edges, just as we like them. They weren't too big or too sweet, but really just right. For the price, the quality of the cookie was scrumptious and it's hard to have any complaint for the cookies, as they were perfect. we would definitely be back here if we ever visited this area again. You should check it out! There's a window to order outside to-go, but you can also walk around to the left of the shop to get inside a mall-like building to order inside and then sit inside the store or in the general mall-like area. The only thing is that the staff cordoned off the indoor seating area that faces the street, which was a bit annoying. read more

Cookies are my love language so I had to stop while in Fort Bragg. They have a small walk up window on the street facing side of the building but I went inside to this little indoor mall. The cookies are what I came for but since it was like, 10am I needed some coffee and breakfast. I got the lemon poppyseed muffin and a 16oz iced vanilla latte. The muffin was mouth watering and I really wish I had another one right now and the latte was good, semi standard. I also got a ham and cheese croissant for my boyfriend and he liked it! The cookies I bought were two chocolate chip cookies and a double chocolate. I prefer the chocolate chip cookies, the double chocolate was a smidge dry but I'm not sure if it's because I ate it too late in the day. My partner and I tried a variety of sweets from this place after stopping while we drove through town. Service was super friendly, staff wore masks and you order at a window and wait to receive your order outside - keeping everything safe during Covid. As for the treats: the bear claw and blueberry muffin were both very good for morning pastries. The cookies were solid too, we tried peanut butter, chocolate chip, double fudge, and one that I can't remember the name of. Trekker? Trekkie? Either way, it had oats, chocolate chips, coconut, raisins, and some kind of nut I believe. It was sooo goood. The PB and double fudge were pretty good too. The cookies were good, but I was very sad to realize they gave me the wrong one. I had ordered a "brownie" cookie and ended up with shortbread. It was good shortbread, but I wanted chocolate. Cue crying. Their drip coffee was pretty, not great, but it didn't have that over roasted burnt note that Starbucks has, so I called it a win.
