So on our way to camp at Westport we stopped off at the Starbucks in Fort Bragg, as many other folks did at the same time. The young man working the register was also working the drive thru, resulting in pretty extended waiting time to order. We ordered four drinks (3 grande and 1 tall) and three cake pops. The total came to about $36. It took quite a while for us to get our order. Everything was fine, but it seems like it was quite expensive for what we received. The store itself was clean. As with most Starbucks, when you ask for "no foam" and emphasize that you literally want NO foam as you have a gag reflex to foam, they mess up and still leave a lot. I watched the girl pour mine, and she did one pour to fill the cup, then dumped out the rest of the steamed soy milk (what a waste!) and then did one quick terrible scoop of the foam, which leaves a ton of foam on there. The correct way to do it -- as I've seen Starbucks managers train employees to do -- is to fill the cup using the spoon to hold back as much foam as possible, then use the spoon to scoop the foam off the top (this is where most Starbucks stop and don't take extra steps). THEN pour more of the steamed milk into the cup (again using spoon to hold back foam), and then scoop again -- and keep doing this until the cup is full, and there is NO foam (about three times). So you see, if you prematurely dump out your steamed milk and waste it, you cannot achieve this final foam-free cup. And that is what they did here, was waste the steamed milk, and give me a cup full of an entire inch+ of foam on top. Yuck. I even told the girl this better way to do it, and she smiled and said "Yes, that's the best way." So then, why didn't she do it? On a positive note, after I proceeded to remove the foam myself, the drink underneath was delicious. Also, the Spicy Falafel Pockets are not listed on their menu inside, I had to ask if they carried them at this location since it wasn't listed. They do. And these are super delicious! So good, we went back in to order a second round of them. Luckily they had enough, but you know... that's probably because you can't sell what's not listed on your menu. People won't know about them! So I advise you ensure they are advertised. Also of note, the second time we went back in to order more Spicy Falafel Pockets, they set the paper bags in a puddle of coffee from someone else's cup... Why set our food in a mess like that? Overall, delicious. But your training needs improvement (how to ensure no foam) and not setting customer food in liquid messes, and your menus need to include what you offer. read more

The restroom has passcode but I noticed that they allow you are using it without making any purchase- just nicely ask them for the passcode. It's not a big deal. Four phrases to describe my experience today. 1. Giant pink hair. The woman behind the register is wearing a mask but has no hair restraint system at all. Her giant fluffy pink hairstyle is everywhere. Much more hair than anyone should have free flowing in food service. 2. Incredibly disorganized. Although I know Starbucks has a system, there appears to be no system for distributing merchandise. Some employees are standing around doing nothing while others are running frantically back and forth. 3. Everyone is compensating. It seems that most of the staff, as best they can, are compensating for the subpar performance of one staff member. It's obvious that a couple staff members refuse to compensate for the substandard employee. 4. Flies flies everywhere. The dining area was absolutely filled with flies. They have one of those insect abatement fans over the entry door, but it's obviously not working. I requested my usual hot drink. I prefer an extra hot macchiato, because I luv my coffee hot. Coffee was ok, cashier service was nice. But the lady who made my coffee got upset because I told her my coffee was warm, NOT extra hot like I had requested. Clearly the communication was very poor among the staff. The lady that made my coffee gave me an attitude because I asked for what I paid for which was an extra hot coffee. This is the most disappointing Starbucks I have been at so far. Don't come here! We ordered oatmeal, 2 lattes, and a bacon gouda egg sandwich. Our hot food came earlier than our drinks. I had to ask about our drinks. Then had to go up to ask fir a spoon snd sugar. This is a California state law I was informed. The oatmeal was Lukep9 warm. When i asked if they could microwave it, i was offered mire hot water which was added to it. This made the oatmeal too wet. And it was still too cold. My husband ate it anyway. Lattes were okay. My sandwich tasted good, but the ciabatta roll it was on was rubbery from being microwaved. This is the Starbucks Drive through, where after the employee told me to "make a U-Turn and go back through the drive through to pick up my Grande Cappuccino that was shorted on my order." When I attempted to do as I was told, I was nearly killed by a commuter truck as I made a short dangerous U-Turn into the Starbucks parking lot. I spent 10 minutes in the first line and now I'm in the far rear with two sandwiches turning to microwaved breakfast sandwiches, and 1coffee black (for toppers) and 1-Cappuccino, all getting colder since the coffees were not exactly Hot? When I said shoot! I should just run in. I wasn't dressed to go in BTW, but I did. I asked for the manager. I was greeted, thinking Yay! She can just make it and I can be out. Why would they put me at the end for everything else I ordered to be 30 min. Cold by the time I got back through, why wouldn't they just fix it right away? I ordered mobile at 9:30. At 9:40 I went in store. I got drinks at 9:52. There were 5 people working but they were sooo behind. One lady told barista to cancel her order that she had to go. She had already waited too long. Barista told her to get a refund at the counter. She goes to the counter and they say unless she has the card she used they can't refund her. Now I know this because both my girls have worked for Starbucks. She could very easily given her a five dollar gift card and sent her on her way but she didn't offer that. This is a poorly operated Starbucks. Very slow service. Very rude employees. I take that back...one of the baristas was nice and wanted to be helpful, but she was surrounded by incompetent, less than enthusiastic coworkers. The cashier who was still in training needed serious help. Our group came in 3 days in a row and each day was the same story. The drive through definitely moved 10x faster than going inside. You have to have it together at 7am if you want to keep your customers happy. Our group of four saw car after car in the drive through get served while we waited endlessly inside. Nice Starbucks with plenty of indoor seating. Thankfully I came to read my book. They do not have plug ins to charge phone/laptop. They have them but they are covered. So have your stuff juiced up if you come to work. Thankfully batteries are longer lasting now. I had a bacon sausage wrap that was good. We don't have those yet where I live. Drink was good. I just watched an employee who took an order from a real a**ho*e. Just delt with him quickly and efficiently. Working with the public can really suck. Drive-thru is probably the worst I have seen. I had two cars to get to order. That took ten minutes. Got up to order, all the remaining cars in front of me were gone, and they asked me to wait. Ordered, then drove up. My drink was done quickly, then the girl running the drive-thru stared helplessly at the end of the counter for another 6-7 minutes waiting for my two sandwiches to appear. Didn't talk, didn't check on them, but just watched and waited. No apologies for sucking, for such a long wait, but I guess if you really want a Starbucks that bad, then have at it. I just left this location minutes ago. As always, a bad experience. Service at the counter is always SLOW, no matter how many people are working. Drive thru and pre orders always take priority. I go in for just a black coffee, but because the clerk is talking endlessly to the person in front of me, it takes forever. Then, after handling my cash, she rubs her hand all over the lid to my cup trying to get it on. Worse, the location is FILTHY. Every table is dirty, the counters are dirty, the floor is dirty. The gentleman ahead of me was trying to order a macchiato. The cashier had no idea what he was talking about. Said she never heard of it. He had to tell them how to make it! Luckily my order of cold brew with a side of heavy whipping cream was pretty straightforward. I always order with heavy whipping cream for which I never get charged at any other Starbucks I visit. They tried to charge me $1.50. I let her know I was not going to pay $1.50 for one inch of heavy whipping cream. They finally relented on that charge. GREAT RESTROOM STOP. Clean, smells nice, single room privacy for doing your biz. You know, it's pretty frickin' pointless to rate places like Starbucks most of the time which is why you get these low-star review averages. People tend to get ticked off about something and then feel the need to vent their frustrations and Yelp about it even though it's a chain and it won't really affect who goes here or not. The exception is when you're looking for a clean bathroom. Like all Starbucks I've been to, they have the single room bathrooms, and they've got two of them. They are also all-gender use (which is the law for single stalls in CA but is still a good note for those of you who want the full comfort and privacy that you might not get at a place that has the multiple stalls setup). When I went, they smelled nice and were clean, clean, clean and tastefully trendy with their 3D white subway tile walls which you could tell are wiped down. Great place to use a restroom. read more

Stopped at a Starbucks the last morning of our vacation to get drink for the long drive home. 1st it was issues with the woman understanding my order, then the second woman asking me what I ordered... called ir something else. I asked for a vanilla latte extra creamy and with 3 sugars. Not sure why that complicated. Then the 1st lady handed my 3/4 sweet Toffee Nut Mocha with coconut milk extra hot no foam no whip. She had the extra hot correct...wouls have been nice had the lid been on it correctly..I went all me, allover my console and soaked my cloth purse. I asked if they could put it in my travel mug the second time around and got told they don't do that. Aside from bad service and getting g burnt and making a mess of myself and car from that lid not being secure..another woman came to the windo and asked if I wanted to through away the napkins I set on the counter. They took the used banking in the window but would not por my drink from a paper cup to my metal travel cup.. That simply confirmed that is. Ot a vacation place or anything kinda place for me. That ending gto my vacation was appropriate as the entire experience there sucked. Good drinks, as usual, but strange attitude. Usually I'm used to Starbucks employees being really friendly and positive, as well as helpful. We went through the drive-through and the girl that helped us was attentive but short. We asked if we could throw away some garbage and she didn't want to except any of our things that we wanted to give back through the window. Very strange, we had to leave the drive-through and get out of the car to throw away our things. I tried the pumpkin spice cold brew for the first time, it was awesome. Cold brew is always really strong and I can never finish even a small one, but the pumpkin flavor is really what got me. The cake pops are always a delicious treat, I got one of my favorites, birthday cake, and a new one, strawberry. I ended up liking the strawberry more because it has this really sweet artificial cake flavor that reminds me of my childhood. When I entered my order, the batista did not know the correct sizes for the drinks, what went into the drinks and refuse to listen when I placed my order. My drink came out fine. However, the barista taking there order didn't write most of my customizations. I had to return it once, because it had whip on it when I specifically asked for no whip. He responded with annoyance "You want us to remake the whole drink?" They did remake it but made it with milk that makes my wife sick. I asked for non fat milk. When I double checked with another batista who made the drink, she very coldly, told me "Well it isn't on the sticker" and she went back to work. My order is always right, unlike a lot of Starbucks I've been to. They do a great job, especially considering the pandemic. I've learned to really rely on the app to order ahead so I can grab my coffee and run when I'm on my lunch break. The only problem, and why they lose a star, is that my favorite drink is the honey oatmilk latte...and they are almost ALWAYS sold out of oatmilk. Obviously it's a popular item, so maybe order more?? They are also not great about updating the app when things are back in stock. I don't have time to order there on my breaks, I have to order ahead.
