The bread on the breakfast sandwich seemed stale, the cheese appeared to be Kraft-style processed cheese, and the sausage lacked flavor and color. The bagel was hard and crumbly, making it difficult to enjoy. The pastries also seemed old, so the muffin liner was stuck to nearly the entire pastry. We spent close to $40 and were unable to finish most of what we purchased because the food quality was so poor. While the service was excellent, the food did not meet expectations, and based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

The breakfast burrito had so much cheese I could *squeeze* out the cheese. The sausage is the same sausage you would get on pizza which is fine just thought I should note that to folks. I couldn't find any egg in my burrito, but maybe that's because it's buried in cheese. Id recommend filling out the burrito a bit more with some country potatoes, and a little salt and pep could go a long way. The bear claw is a bit sad, little hard. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pastries, especially for this area. The baked goods were original, creative, and stood out from what I typically find at local bakeries. It's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into the recipes. Unfortunately, my latte was disappointing. I noticed that the coffee was made from freshly ground beans and the espresso was brewed to order, so I expected a much better result. In my opinion, the drink was fairly average and did not match the quality of the pastries. One other thing that felt a bit awkward was having a child at the register, apparently helping his mother, actively asking customers for tips. Personally, I didn't think that was the best approach. This is our local bakery and we would like to like this place. We have given Rollin Dough several tries and have brought visiting family and friends here. EVERY time we patronize this business: - The gravelly-voiced main employee lady coughs at us and coughs on our food as she serves it - They are extremely curt and unclear when you are ordering on the drive through intercom or in person - They are usually out of/do not carry a good portion of what is listed on the faded menu - They are WAY OVERPRICED - Pastries are mostly prepackaged and universally dried out - They make a big deal about being a part of the Trumpy "Fort Bragg Forever" movement This is a prime business location right next to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden and deserves a quality, professional, friendly bakery or food establishment. read more

All the employees are super friendly! I generally like their coffee but I am consistently disappointed by the baked goods. I got an everything bagel and there was basically no toppings but garlic powder and a few sunflower seeds. The ham and cheese pastries leaves a lot to be desired. The ham is cut in these thick chunks which is not appetizing. It would be good if it was thin sliced ham. And the breakfast burritos have way too much sausage or meat and hardly any eggs or Other ingredients. I go a lot so I hope some suggestions may help improve some items! read more

Coffee drinks were pretty good - iced white mocha and an iced vanilla latte. Both needed more ice because they weren't cold enough, so my tip would be to make sure to ask for extra ice! My friends and I stopped here for a snack. Two of us shared a ham and cheese croissant and an oatmeal raisin cookie. The young lady at the window heated the croissant for us and cut it in half. It was really good, but very oily; maybe it was the butter in the croissant or the fat from the cheese, but, regardless, there was a lot of oil. The cookie was soft and good. Breakfast sandwich, gross. Service, worse. Check your receipts! They asked for a tip, said "x" amount and they put in and entirely different amount. Asked for receipt, noticed the difference and when I mentioned it to the older lady servicing us she doesn't apologize she grabs money out of her tip jar and begrudgingly pushes it at me into my car. I balled the money back up and threw it in the window. As I told her I didn't want it back, I was mentioning it for principal of the matter. The breakfast sandwiches are on soggy English muffins, stinky cheese, microwaved egg slabs and a microwaved no texture sausage patty. Save your money, and take it elsewhere. On one of our RV adventures, I had to walk to a local bank to obtain some cash and I saw this little establishment tucked in on the side of Highway 1. On my walk back, I decided to stop in and check out their offerings. They do not have inside seating or even indoor ordering. You have to stand in the drive-thru line. That's not very customer friendly. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a cream cheese danish. First off the croissant dough is very dense, not what you expect when you order a croissant (think flaky, and light). My wife said once I heated it up it was a little more palatable. My cream cheese danish was also very dense and softened up slightly after 20 seconds in the microwave. The cream cheese filling was sprinkled lightly with coarse sugar, but the filling was bland to say the least. I always try and patronize the local businesses, but I don't think I'll be hitting this place up again anytime soon. read more

My wife and I stopped by for a quick bite to eat before going to the Botanical Gardens. I really wanted to like this place as it is convenient and easy to get too. They are a drive through but you can walk up on foot and eat at the picnic benches if you want. My wife's bagel was burnt and not very good. My breakfast sandwich reminded me of a poor middle school cafeteria meal. The eggs were premade and terrible, bread soggy and sausage that was not very good. The coffee was mediocre at best. The baked goods smelled great so if you must stop by I guess I would try the pastries. The people were nice but this place is a no for me. This spot is on the way out of town as you head south on main street. It is actually right next to the botanical gardens, making it a great spot to grab some pastries before you stroll down the south trail to the bluff. Currently during the pandemic as they have opened as a drive-thru. The pastries are amazing and worth the short wait at the drive thru. I would expect them to sell out of all the good stuff by noon everyday. The coffees and teas are also great and the service is very fast. They also accept credit cards. As a new business in town opening during the pandemic i hope they gather a following quickly, the pastries can stand the test of time. Needless to say, it's way better than the franchise option in town where I got half as much for twice the cost. read more

I went by the other day on my way to work to get a matcha latte to take along on my commute. I ordered at the drive thru and the girl told me it would take a few minutes even though there weren't any other cars around. Also, she mentions that they are out of sweetener... Seriously, at a bakery and during the morning? I drove up to the window and as she handed me the drink, it falls upside down on the shelf and starts spilling and pouring over. I didn't have much time to spare and had to wait again for another one to be made. I had a lengthy drive and it was terrible to discover my latte was all mostly warm milk and hardly a trace of matcha! I couldn't drink it and was very disappointed. Loved it so much we had to visit again! We were camping in the area and stopped in for coffee and a pastry on our way to Glass Beach. The girls were so friendly and made a GREAT mocha. Loved, loved, LOVED this place!!! You can tell they use quality ingredients. They perfectly warmed our ham and cheese croissants. We enjoyed them at the tables outside along with locally roasted coffee. Joanna is very friendly and her staff is, too. We also grabbed a four pack of Anything bagels for the road. OMG! SO GOOD!
