This is probably the worst run restaurant franchise I've been to. I placed an order to pick it up ASAP. The website said 10-20min for pickup, so I thought that was perfect timing, as I was 20min away. To my horror, the system automatically put my order 55min out because I had "more than just 2 sandwiches", even though there was no one in line at the restaurant or anyone waiting to pick up an order, when I got there. Why? Well, they blamed it on "3rd party system" and the manager (Zaen?) would not even budge to start making my order right away and could only give it to me 35min later. Again, there was no one waiting in line and they could have easily started making it right away. This extremely rude manager tells me that even if I cancelled my order (which he wasn't even concerned about), and then placed a new one at the counter, they would still take more than 30min for a few sandwiches. Never have I come across such an inconsiderate manager at a place that's known to be considerate and welcoming. Thankfully for me, the other manager (Alec?), was so much nicer and instead of ignoring me like the other guy, he tried to help by fast tracking my order and guess what, it was done in less than 7min. All of it. Did they make anybody wait because of me? Nope! I've been going to Mendocino Farms for over a decade across so many different locations, and this was my first visit to this particular store. And because of this one manager (Zaen?), it ruined my entire outlook for this popular brand. How does the General Manager and the overall franchise operations team even hire such a terrible person, who was just indifferent to losing a customer that had placed an order of over $150??? PS: the online ordering system also defaulted to a $20 tip that you couldn't change. I wish I could get that money back or at least direct it all to the nicer manager. read more

I've only eaten here once in the past, but my boyfriend and I were craving salads last night and decided to come here. I ordered the Farmhouse Ranch Salad and it was probably the best salad I've ever had. It was so delicious and flavorful! I am already dying to go back to get it again. Unfortunately, it says it's only there for a limited time but I wish they'd make it a permanent menu item. Service was great, there was a little bit of a delay with us being able to order and the person at the counter was so apologetic, which wasn't necessary! We weren't stressing. I have ordered the same sandwich for years. It is a build your own. It is always $16; which, I confirmed in my past orders. Today I was charged $20. When I looked at the receipt it said turkey-$4 extra. The staff explained that when you get a build your own they charge extra for the meat. If this is true that is insane. No place should be charging extra for something that should already come on the sandwich. Very disappointed. Either the staff here do not know what they are doing or they have ridiculous new policy. The restaurant was very nice to look at, ample seating and very bright inside. Staff was attentive. I ordered online and didn't have to wait too long, probably because it was at the end of the day. I ordered the chef special "Not so fried chicken sandwich salad". It wasn't to my liking and was very hard for me to finish it. It had a large scoop of mustard pickle slaw that made the whole salad soggy. It also has vinaigrette and pickled red onions that made it a bit too sour for my tastes. The bbq dressing tried to cut through the sourness, but didn't do too much. I liked the Mendo crispies which gave it a nice crunch. I guess the dressing and slaw is what killed this salad for me. I got take out food from this place twice and it was the salad. Another time was quinoa salad, Peruvian steak sandwich and chicken pesto and they were all amazing! Chicken pesto had chicken, fresh mozzarella, marinated red peppers, basil pesto, mixed greens, balsamic, on panini-pressed ciabatta. The Peruvian sandwich had seared steak tossed in a spicy aji amarillo sauce, melted Oaxacan cheese, tomatoes, red onions, shredded romaine, herb aioli, on toasted potato roll. Quinoa salad I got it without onions and it was so much food and very filling! It had avocado, roasted corn, black beans, jicama, grape tomatoes,quinoa & millet, superfood krunchies, kale, romaine, cilantro, cotija, chipotle vinaigrette on the side without red onions! Stopped off as we were passing through. This is a great place to grab a fresh healthy sandwich option. They also have a great pickle and dill potato salad that was delicious. We had the chicken and prosciutto sandwich with a bag of dill potato chips. The service was great, both friendly and attentive. We opted to eat in although to go is always an option. I ordered my food to go. I ordered a gluten-free Chicken Pesto Caprese 1/2 sandwich. The combo comes with a side, so I ordered a Oaxacan Potato Salad. Drinks are not included with the combo, But I got a tajin pineapple juice! I know so cool, right? I love the combination. Everything was delicious! I also loved how soft and airy the gluten-free bread was. Next time I would love to sit down and enjoy my lunch there. They have a cute set up and I saw a large board where kids can get creative! I ordered my usual wrap and paid extra for additional chicken. However, the wrap I received was significantly smaller than usual and consisted almost entirely of vegetables and tortilla. Given that I order this frequently, the difference in quality was immediately apparent. When I called to address this, I spoke with Amber G. From the beginning, her tone was rude and condescending. She cut me off while I was explaining the issue and initially only offered to refund the $4 charge for the extra chicken. When I requested a full refund for the $22 meal--as the entire order was unsatisfactory--she flatly refused. I called back to speak with a supervisor, and with a snarky attitude she said, "that would be me". While she eventually agreed to refund the account, she did so with a frustrated and unprofessional attitude. I am very disappointed by both the quality of the food and the lack of professional service provided by the GM. I have never been treated so unprofessionally by a restaurant staff. I hope you will look into this matter to ensure better service and product consistency in the future. read more

I'm a big fan of Mendocino Farms! The menu is varied and really unique with how they pair certain ingredients together. My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Prosciutto and favorite salad is the Cobb. I also really enjoy the atmosphere when dining both inside and on the patio. The staff are all wonderful here and Matt in particular is so efficient, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. When I come in on a lunch break, Matt always greets me and takes my order accurately. I appreciate employees like him and Mendocino Farms is overall a really nice place to grab a bite. read more

It's been 9 years since I've come back and I got my go to Peruvian steak sandwich and my hubby got the pork belly banh mi sandwich to go. It was his first time and he really enjoyed my steak sandwich and I really enjoyed his. I thought my steak was tough to chew but the sauce and flavors were good. The banh mi's pork belly was fresh and the veggies were very spicy with the fresh jalapeños mixed in there. Next time, we'll try the turkey sandwich on sourdough bread and see how that compares to them all. read more

Eh I have mixed feelings on this place coming with a friend for lunch today. This spot is probably a solid 3 as the food was really good but the service and ambiance really felt chaotic. We made the mistake of coming on a weekend lunch after 12:30pm. I know better, I'm not a fan of crowds and am more of a 11:30am luncher lol. We walked up to the restaurant and it was packed. Every seat inside taken with a line out to the door. While this isn't my favorite it was a good sign that the food was likely really good as this was my first time stopping here. The menu is pretty stellar as there were multiple salads and sandwiches that I wanted to try. Their selection of lemonades and teas also looked really promising as they had a good amount of unique flavors. Gal at the counter was sweet and friendly. She was a little aloof though as I realized she never gave me my drink cup. It's also on me as I should have noticed sooner but in fairness when I asked for a water cup she told me it was at the drink fountain so then I also assumed the cups for the lemonade I ordered would be over there. They weren't so I awkwardly had to cut the line to get my drink. Gal was nice about it but it was inconvenient. Service overall unfortunately was like 2 stars throughout. For starters they have a very strange system for getting people their food. They take your name and then the servers have to walk all around the restaurant inside and out asking every table if your name is at this table. Some servers were smarter than others, and would call out the name loudly in different sections, but other servers were literally going to every individual table asking for the name of the order seemed very strange to me. This could be easily solved giving people numbers like they do it other takeout restaurants....slowed down the process of when you get your food and overall is just awkward. When one of the servers brought my friend her meal, he asked for my name so that he would remember to bring it out to me. However, he quickly forgot it, and when my meal came out, he then again walked to every table to offer up my plate, until he finally got to me down the row. I was a little snippy, but I told him I did give him my name, but regardless, he still went around every table, trying to hand out my food, and he did apologize, acknowledging that he forgot. So in theory he was nice I just think by that point all of the different tables were getting frustrated on waiting for their food and just watching it be walked around the entire restaurant. Service continue to be inconsistent, but friendly, and while I do appreciate friendly staff - if the service isn't on par it's not exactly a win just because people are being nice. One server offered to bring my friend a to go box and never brought it so she decided instead of waiting another 10 minutes (because they don't have To go boxes readily available to grab) she ate the rest of her food. After a while, the server finally came over and made a joke about how he did forget to give us a takeout box, but noted that my friend ate her food anyways. Again, I think an attempt to be nice but honestly still awkward. Im not sure what was going on with service today but it was definitely off given how many staff they had. Little things would be more helpful too like having napkins and silverware available to grab. Had to go bother guys packing takeout behind the counter as there are no napkin containers that I could find anywhere near the drinks etc. A few napkin dispensers would go a long way. I will say it was a bummer that the service and atmosphere wasn't that great, because I actually really did like the food overall. My pork banh mi sandwich was delicious. There was a good helping of pork and the bread was perfectly crisp and I loved the fresh vegetables and saucy mayo on the sandwich. Honestly for a sandwich to me it was a 4.5 out of 5. I also got the sausage kale soup which was just average, not bad though and a good side on a cold day. For a drink I had the pomegranate mint lemonade which was pretty sour but also refreshing, I liked this too. The food was good enough that I'd come back in the future but maybe only for takeout. Until service improves it's another spot that I'm on the fence about. Good sandwiches and salads from what I could see but needs some work because that kind of service just isn't encouraging me to give them my business. read more

Went to try Mendocino Farms new peach sandwich and salad. So yummy the peaches could've been a bit riper but the hot honey made up for it. Service was great the girl at the counter was super knowledgeable and helpful. The server was kind and had a smile even though their system was down. After walking around that cute outdoor mini mall I sat to have quick lunch at Mendocino . I got the popular avocado quinoa salad with chicken that was a bit pricey at almost 18$. The salad itself was decent portion wise and taste . I like the fresh whole avocado and crunchy quinoa. But the chicken looked so dead on arrival my dog literally thought twice about eating it.
