Stopped by today and grabbed a farm club sandwich to go. Service always fantastic. The turkey sandwich was absolutely delicious. Thank you.

Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada must try!

I got take out food from this place twice and it was the salad. Another time was quinoa salad, Peruvian steak sandwich and chicken pesto and they were all amazing! Chicken pesto had chicken, fresh mozzarella, marinated red peppers, basil pesto, mixed greens, balsamic, on panini-pressed ciabatta. The Peruvian sandwich had seared steak tossed in a spicy aji amarillo sauce, melted Oaxacan cheese, tomatoes, red onions, shredded romaine, herb aioli, on toasted potato roll. Quinoa salad I got it without onions and it was so much food and very filling! It had avocado, roasted corn, black beans, jicama, grape tomatoes, quinoa & millet, superfood krunchies, kale, romaine, cilantro, cotija, chipotle vinaigrette on the side without red onions! Both times had quality food! Will def return again!

Half-filled curry cous cous. Delicious but not worth the amount they give for $3.

Mendo main's are always great but after the last two times of getting sides which costs $3, I'm done. They always fill it 60%-70% and is totally not worth three spoon fulls. I recommend this place only for its salads and sandwiches. If you're only going to fill it a little more than half way, then at least charge by weight instead of per container. It's not right.

Winter Citrus & Goat Cheese Salad

Saturday afternoon lunch was done well at Mendocino farms this weekend! My fiance enjoyed the winter citrus & goat cheese salad, skipping the honey and getting some Baja goddess dressing on the side instead. I had the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon sandwich, which was an excellent meat pairing highlighted by the caramelizad onion jam they spread inside. Big thank you to Louie at the front counter for welcoming us with a friendly smile and recommending the salad!

Stopped off as we were passing through. This is a great place to grab a fresh healthy sandwich option. They also have a great pickle and dill potato salad that was delicious. We had the chicken and prosciutto sandwich with a bag of dill potato chips. The service was great, both friendly and attentive. We opted to eat in although to go is always an option. The restaurant was clean and bright, but the air conditioning was blowing real cold and it was cold outside, Brrrr! We will definitely be back. Cheers!

    Everyone should live by this!

5/5 -- Freshness, Flavor, & Feel-Good Vibes! Mendocino Farms is my happy place in sandwich form. The moment you walk in, the ambience has this bright, breezy energy--like the whole shop is rooting for you to have a delicious day. Everything feels clean, modern, and welcoming, the kind of spot where you could eat, relax, and maybe even rethink your life goals because the food is that good. Their salads? A celebration. Every bite is crunchy, colorful, and bold, like they convinced a farmers market to jump into a bowl. The sandwiches are stacked with flavor--thoughtful, hearty, and the kind you remember long after the crumbs disappear. And the soups have that cozy "made with love" warmth that lands exactly where you need it. But wait... their drinks. Their soda fountain is a whole adventure--sparkly, fun, and full of unexpected little flavor treasures. And the lemonades? Out of this world. Like sunshine decided to become a beverage. Tart, sweet, bright, and instantly mood-lifting. If you want food that tastes fresh, feels good, and somehow turns lunch into a tiny celebration, Mendocino Farms is the spot. It's the kind of place that makes eating well feel joyful.

I've found myself feeling disappointed with hospitality lately--it seems like genuine, friendly service has become harder to find--but that was absolutely not the case here. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. I had the taco salad, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best taco salad I've ever had. I also love the variety of food, all of the healthy options, and the fact that it's dog-friendly. Such a great experience all around. We will definitely be back!

My family and I came to Neighborly, it being recommended to me and close by in the area. I know…read morethat they're known for their array of options and a wide variety of food to choose from. I was nervous, though, going into this, because it reminded me of the nearby Topanga Social with a similar concept. After less than a year, the Topanga Social is closing due to one of the reasons being that a ghost kitchen doesn't cater, and therefore, have the expertise, to one certain food type or style. Unfortunately, that's exactly what this ended up being. When we entered, it was an untraditional restaurant experience as you go to a tablet/ screen area and choose from one of the six or so "restaurants" that they have to choose from. In theory, this is super cool! However, certain foods are good because a lot of the times, the people making them worked on perfecting that dish for you and others. Additionally, when you don't have a hostess and/ or server, there's an extra level of relationship building with the customer that you now don't get. People can manage, but it's the customer service that sometimes can make or break a business. This restaurant used to be Social Monk, until they decided to add the five or so other, now essentially, ghost kitchens that all operate under that same old Social Monk roof. Once we paid and finished ordering on the screen, we sat down and waited for our food. The seating area was a bit cramped inside, but expanded to outside which was nice. Inside, they had little tubs of candy around the store for purchase. There's also a fountain and a gelato store nearby, which is great for families looking to make more of their day. The positives? The area is nice. The literal neighbors, like the gelato place next door, are great! The speed in which we got our food was good, too, as well as the variety of options of food that they have available. My food came as a bigger portion size than what I was expecting, so I could hypothetically get maybe two meals out of it. The negatives? The prices aren't the prettiest, like mine coming at $18 (but keep in mind the portioning.) Additionally, when we got our food, it truly was not good. My chicken and chow mein came together on a big plate, however the chicken was cooollllddddd. The noodles were okay and warm, actually, although the chicken had been cold. Bland. Not great. My sister got chicken tenders and fries in which were also incredibly bland and not worth eating even half of. I brought my food back to the counter area where they had registers not in use and asked a worker if I could get a refund. They got a manager, who asked if I wanted them to heat it up, but at that point, I felt so defeated and annoyed, especially for almost $20 worth of food and the last thing I wanted was for it to be heated up in a microwave. Maybe this wasn't their day? Westlake doesn't have much variety, so having options like this is nice and I can see why so many people find them appealing - it's just not good food. A lot of the older people who look like they love eating saltines and rice cakes come here and it's easy to see why. Unfortunately, my sister and I did not like their food due to it being cold, bland, and unseasoned, and we most likely won't be coming back.

If you are choosing between the meats, this is the one I would recommend first. Ground Beef Kabob: Also very good and worth ordering. It was good, but the meat made the meal. Without the Shish Kabob, the salad would have felt underwhelming. Creamy Cucumber Dip: Basically essential. We were very happy we ordered it because neither entrée came with much moisture or sauce of its own. My only real complaint was the homemade salad dressing. The oil tasted old, which was noticeable enough to take away from an otherwise fresh salad. Overall, we really liked Lava Kitchen and would gladly return for the kabobs. The Shish Kabob is the move, and do yourself a favor by adding the cucumber dip.

It was an unusually hot and very busy day, and it was great to see the restaurant so full and thriving. I especially want to recognize the cashiers, Sammy and Jerry, who were excellent. They were patient, friendly, and handled the busy crowd with great customer service. Sammy, in particular, deserves recognition for being so kind and professional. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing toward the end of our visit. We had leftovers, including our salad and sandwiches, and had also purchased a four-pack of IPA to go. I asked for a brown handled bag because the plastic bag provided wasn't adequate for everything we were taking home. I was surprised when someone behind the kitchen, who I was told was Alonzo, instructed Sammy to give me a plastic bag instead. I could tell Sammy felt embarrassed and uncomfortable about the situation, and I felt bad for putting her in that position. My concern isn't with Sammy at all--she was wonderful. It's about the message being sent to customers. When someone is spending money at your restaurant, especially when they're purchasing food and beverages to take home, customer service should come first. Board & Brew, please recognize Sammy for her excellent customer service. She handled a busy, hot day with patience and professionalism. And Alonzo, remember that taking care of the customer should always be the priority. We'll definitely continue coming back because we love the food, but I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. First, I want to say this review is not about my waiter. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. My disappointment is with the kitchen and management. I ordered the Crab Benedict, and the English muffin was extremely stale and so hard it was difficult to cut. To make matters worse, the poached eggs were cold. My waiter kindly offered to bring me a fresh English muffin, which I declined, but I appreciated that he tried to make it right. When the check arrived, I also noticed a 3% service fee added to the bill. Personally, I'd much rather see menu prices reflect the restaurant's costs than have an additional fee added at the end. I wouldn't mind paying $25 for Eggs Benedict if it's prepared properly and there aren't surprise charges from management.
