Ingredients were standard fare with nothing standing out in either direction. The standard Lay chips and drinks were as the should be. Errand day for this gal. On my way home I stopped in at Firehouse Subs. I've heard good things about it, so It's been on my bucket list of places to try, (variety is the spice of life, right?). I felt welcomed there the minute I walked in. Orders are taken at the cashier station. The person who took my order was very nice. Family friendly. The décor tells it all. Where other places charge more for their meals and give you less, Firehouse does the complete opposite! Sandwiches are reasonably priced, and you won't be disappointed by the portion size of their sandwiches. (See my photo below). I ordered their Italian Sub Sandwich - Medium Size. 1/2 sandwich had plenty of meat. It was so good I ate the whole thing. I couldn't get enough. Bread wasn't soggy, not too much shredded lettuce or Italian Oil dressing. Everything served was fresh and tasty. I recommend Firehouse Subs! Try it! You will love it! I appreciate the 5 star customer service here! Unfortunately, the sandwiches just don't hit for me. The turkey and cheese lack flavor. They melt the smallest amount of cheese on their sandwiches, it becomes lost in the sandwich. The bread is not great. Bread is what makes a great sandwich. There is a lack of condiments as well. I had to add my own mayo/mustard at home. I gave it two chances, but this place is not for me. I was generous with my rating. read more

Tonight was a return the one of the best sandwich shop chains in Ventura County. I've visited multiple Firehouse Sub locations and all have similar experiences with quality and quantity of food. This location in TO is a little small, but it does offer indoor and outdoor seating. The service is standard and they try hard to keep their restaurant clean. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty and having the hot sauce bar is a treat! Tip: Get the sweet tea and chili. Both are very good and complement each other well. read more

It was literal love at first taste with this sandwich shop. I was a first time turned firehouse Sub believer! I got the Italian sandwich and was amazed at the taste for being a chain restaurant. They did not ration my ingredients which I really appreciate in this economy you truly get your moneys worth. I've had Firehouse Subs a few years back but I was thrilled to see a location open up near us. We went here today and my Firehouse experience was as great as I remembered. Our group enjoyed the Firehouse Steak & Cheese, the Firehouse Hero, and a kids grilled cheese. Both of the subs were really tasty and the portions were plentiful. I really liked the meat-to-cheese ratio in the steak and cheese. And the subs were perfectly toasted to where wasn't any burnt/crusty ends to the sandwich. The customer service was top notch and very friendly. I do like the Coke Freestyle machine they have as well. There is limited indoor seating but there is some additional outdoor seating. I feel confident Firehouse Subs will thrive in this area. I know I can't wait to go back and try the BBQ Cuban! read more

First time trying out Firehouse Subs. We're long time Jersey Mike's fans. Got the Italian and was wowed! Love that the bread is toasted and they don't stinge on the fillings either. Ordered ahead for pickup via Ubereats (they had a BOGO deal) but server didn't seem to know about my order when I arrived which was odd because the place was empty at that time. This is a new location for this chain. We ordered our staple sandwiches and they were really good. The lunchmeat and rolls were fresh and the service was good. However, there seemed to be a little confusion behind the counter, which is certainly understandable as it is a new place and the employees are getting used to their new shop and management. Whenever I order from Firehouse subs, both this location and the Simi Valley location, I always ask for no pickle; however, instead of leaving it out as requested, on several occasions they've still added it but tucked it under the sandwich and paper. What a delicious meal! The restaurant is clean and has awesome decor! We each got a medium sandwich and a small cup of the baked potato soup. Our meals were wonderful. They tasted fresh and hot. The soda machine has many options. We really liked the hot sauce bar and ended up purchasing a couple different bottles. The staff were very friendly and even helped to recommend the hot sauces. We went here on Saturday and had a sandwich. We ordered a club and a spicy meatball. When we got home, we realize that they forgot the bacon on a club. How do you forget the bacon on the club. I called. The lady was very nice and refunded me the money, but I really think that when people get home and they will eat their sandwich and they're disappointed. I was super excited for this location to open. I used to go to another location out of state. Every time you entered you received a warm embrace, "Welcome to Firehouse"! This location didn't do that both times I visited. The out of state location also had a unique collection of sauces to add to your sandwich for free. A small sub here is way too small to feed a kid or an adult, while a large is more expensive than most sandwich places. We ordered a steak sandwich to go, and the steak was cold when we ate it. Maybe it would have been better had we eaten it there, but I don't have that issue with any other local sandwich places. The meat in the Italian wasn't as good as competitors either. I'm bummed to write this review, but it's more to remind myself why I'm not going to this location anymore, and will stick to the other nearby sandwich places. read more

Firehouse has become our new family favorite. Past favorites included Jersey Mikes (husband) and Subway (son) but we all agree that Firehouse is far superior. It's pricey but worth every penny. Our favorites are the Italian and the meatball, though my husband recently tried the NY Steamer and declared it the best sandwich he's ever eaten. Yes a bit further but what great experience in ordering and more importantly the quality of the food. Somewhat under staffed, however that seems to be par for the course these days. Food- pastrami was sad as I've had better from the grocery store, turkey was fine. Bread was good but that's about it. Price to size was way off $12 for what seemed like 6in of food on an 8 in roll.
