I got the Carmelized Garlic Steak Bowl. Carmelized Garlic Steak - The portion was HUGE and I was so full after eating 1/2. It came with a complimentary slice of sourdough too! I loved the sweet potatoes, and the texture of the wild rice was great too. There was a generous portion of steak and it tasted sooo good with the pesto vinaigrette sauce. A few of my favorite restaurants in our area have closed and / or quality of good is not as good as it used to be. Getting less for the money. Sound familiar? I love the fact that my server asked how I liked my dressing mixed in the salad (light, slightly heavy or heavy). I went with lightly heavy, it was perfect!). For my drink I ordered their home made, Green Apple and Ginger. Very good as well. Serving size wise, there is enough for two days worth of a meal or for two people to share. Prices were reasonable for organic, fresh & crispy salad. Service was excellent. Dine in our out, it's your choice! Very clean! We went during lunch time today. The line was quite long. They had many options, and you can either choose the preset or the choose your own. I was skeptical about a salad place, but it really surprised me. Unlike the ones at home, everything here is super fresh--no soggy leaves, just perfectly balanced and well-tossed ingredients. I kept coming back for the same kale Caesar every time. They also give you a small piece of bread on the side and let you choose the amount of dressing--light, medium, or heavy--so everything is highly customizable. I come here to this location in Westlake at least once a week, I'm pretty much a creature of habit and always get the miso salmon plate because it is absolutely fire, I get extra broccoli, extra onions on it and extra dressing, the food is always fresh and on point the service is normally very good, a lot of times I get it on the way home from work and order it on the app and I just roll in and pick it up and take it home, I saw someone give this a bad review because of construction in the center here which has nothing to do with any of the restaurants it has everything to do with the management of the center, so I thought that not to be fair whatsoever, I really enjoy this this food, and by the way, I'm a chef of 35 years and I know quality and freshness and this place never disappoints, my daughter and her family also come here and love this place. Great location in the westlake promenade. They have a wonderful covered outdoor seating area. Sweetgreen is completely seed oil free which we love!! Tried the new ripple fries with garlic aoli. Love that they are made in the air fryer and with avocado oil. However the Bo. That we got was very over cooked and so cold. It was under a heat lamp which was surprising when we went outside to eat that they were immediately cold and hard. Loved the make your own bowl option! read more

This rating is really 3.5 stars but to round up, I gave it a 4. I came in around 1pm and it was packed. I'm so glad I placed my order online and by the time I arrived, the app notified me that my food was ready. I ordered two harvest bowls with modifications and I'm glad they followed instructions since one person in my party has an allergy to certain items. The bowls tasted good, cost $33 total and was cheaper than running to Erewon. That being said, I didn't love my bowl and I don't think I'd be coming back. I can make a better bowl at home and having the dressing inside the bowl is pretty gross considering someone touched the outside of the container and contaminated my greens when they stuck it in there plus took up room for all the toppings I didn't get enough of. I also didn't like that the forks left out on the counter for you to grab is exposed the everyone's dirty hands and it's not wrapped up or in a dispenser like at WholeFoods. But if you have to eat out and want to keep on track with something healthy and fast, this is the only option in the area I suppose. I'm not a fan but if I'm in a pinch, I might come back. read more

Avoid at all costs. Recently ordered from Sweetgreens and was pleased. Expensive, but decent and convenient -- on the way to becoming a serial customer! Placed second pickup order online a week later. Upon nearing the location for pickup, discovered the entire promenade parking area was closed for an event. No notice on the Sweetgreens website, and no ability to contact the store for information (I encourage you to read any of the many online horror stories about the total absence of human customer service). Ended up having to park nearly a mile away and walk to the store for pickup. In total, the trip took an extra hour of my time and left my family waiting hungry. Soliciting business when you know you that order fulfillment is extremely burdensome, difficult, or impossible for the customer is fraud. Will not be ordering from this or any other Sweetgreens again. read more

Ordered through a delivery app and they didn't make it correctly and the salmon was not only dried out like jerky at the ends, but it was not fresh - borderline spoiled. It tasted and smelled awful. I went in to ask to have it remade but I wanted to check out the fish before I left because I was concerned it was a bad batch... and the new piece was the same. I asked how long ago it was made but the just said it had been put out 2 hours prior. It was kind of vague so I'm not sure they even knew how long ago it had been baked. I told them something was wrong with the batch but I just got a shrug in response. They didn't dispose of the bad fish, they just put it back on the serving station. I've recently eaten at Sweetgreen twice these past couple weeks, and it's REALLY good! I love the healthy choices, the quality of the produce, meats and toppings are all amazing. I like to get a custom salad, with a bunch of random stuff, but it works great-- the only thing I'd like to mention is that they really get you with those extra charges! I had no idea most of my toppings cost extra, and not just a little extra, like $3-$5 extra. I wish I could have been informed, but I'll come back next time with that in mind. read more

I've seen Sweetgreen signs up here and there and wondered if it's good. I love salads. I grew up vegetarian WAY back when it wasn't cool. Flash forward to now - I'm SO not vegetarian and a complete foodie. But I'm trying to be healthy. So late last year I find myself working in the midwest and I can't, for the life of me, find anywhere to eat that doesn't involve fried or overly sauced food. Enter Sweetgreen. Sweetgreen is easily a new favorite of mine as I look for healthier foodie spots to dine. My friend recommended this place a few times and we made it for a girls trio lunch. My recommendation is get here earlier then later. On the weekend this shopping center definitely gets busy. By 12pm we had just beat the rush and we're able to find a parking spot not too far away. The restaurant itself was unassuming but thankfully did have good signage that you could spot as you walk in. Inside it was very clean and organized as they list their menu at the start of the glass case and then you make your way from toppings to the register. I felt that the staff here were very nice while also having hustle to keep you moving. The gentlemen that helped me with my bowl was friendly. I noted a few times that it was my first time here and that I didn't know what I was doing lol but he kept a friendly attitude and didn't make me feel rushed or judged. Guy even made a little joke at the end and the vibes were right. I appreciate their efficiency and quickness. Prices vary based on what you get. In traditional "me fashion" by creating my own bowl I guess I went the more expensive route but I was happy with my choices. For a custom bowl and a sparkling soda it rang me $19. I really don't find that bad given the quality of the ingredients and the ease of not having to cook something up like this at home. We sat outside and it was a lovely day. Plenty of shaded seating and also a couple of tables in the sun. The food, service, and casual atmosphere are a 5/5 in my books. The food is good and everyone was friendly who worked here. I love the ability to customize everything to my taste and found it to be a pleasant and yummy experience. Love the food and the staff are great, but they are always out of something. Today it was garlic aioli. They are low on everything. Took the employee a good two minutes to squeeze out the last remaining drops of salad dressing left in the bottle. Come on. They need to have all the sauces stocked in the back. Either the employees aren't prepping or the establishment isn't ordering enough condiments. No napkins, no straws, floors and tables were dirty and waited on the ripple fries (thankfully they had some this time!) and then couldn't open the lid to the meal, Sweetgreen please add a lip to pull it off! This is not really about the food. Been here several times without issues and staff has been friendly every time. Tonight I ordered 2 bowls and my son found a dead ladybug in his bowl. He couldn't eat anymore after that and that made me nervous about eating my bowl. I immediately called to see if I could pick up a new bowl but all you get is a recording and there is no way to speak to an actual person. Super frustrating because now my son has no dinner. We are in Simi about 20 minutes away and they were closing soon so I didn't want to waste a trip there without knowing if they would replace my order. I just purchased 2 crispy rice bowls from this location, she totally under filled my salad. I made a comment and she didn't say or do anything about it. You can see the bottom of the plate. She didn't offer make it right. Also the area was very messy. Food everywhere, salad ingredients, and open dressing container in the area. Just unclean and messy. The other gentleman who was fixing probably an order for pick up, was just standing there, taking forever to fix the plate. It seems like he didn't know what he was doing. I go in and am greeted by none other than Jacob Krandle™ (who apparently is one of the skilled cooks by the way).
