Pretty disappointed with the lack of service here. I walked in when several employees were sitting around having casual conversations among themselves and regulars. This is a new world to me, so I wanted to go to a real bike shop for my first mountain bike. You always hear the personalized experience counters the extra cost of buying from a brick and mortar store. I stayed in the store for 25 minutes clearly showing interest in several bikes and not a single employee greeted me or asked if I needed help. He even took the time to show us how the gears work and how to identify flats vs low air (not as easy as you may think). So sad to say this, especially as a long time customer, but after my last 2 visits we will not be returning again, nor recommend what used to be a caring and accommodating shop. The customer service was very poor, it was actually rude. The young woman there was terse, unhelpful & made us feel like we were bothering her. She has been this way twice now. I hope the owners will instruct her on how to speak kindly & thoughtfully if they choose to keep her as an employee so add not to lose more business. read more

It says on your website that you are "taking all necessary safety precautions." I walked in to purchase some items. I opened the door and the first thing that went through my mind was WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? The store was crowded, employees and some customers were not social distancing or wearing masks. Basically, this bike shop was NOT keeping customers and employees safe. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE! It was basically a cluster mess. One register working and long lines........I was in there for about 10 - 15 minutes waiting to buy some items. First, it should not take that long (no biggie because of the one register), second where was the necessary "safety precautions?" I can understand the one register thing but to put the public AND your employees in danger is ridiculous. I will never go back to your store and I will definitely tell all of my MTB buddies of the experience. read more

I love this place! I've been here several times to buy bike parts and accessories, I've also had my bike serviced here a couple times. Always a good experience! In my experience a lot of people working in bike shops can be rude and pretentious, I've never felt that here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There are other shops closer to my house, but going here is worth the extra drive. read more

I was helped by a woman named Kristina and she was wonderful, showing me different options based on pricing and what i preferred when it came to the type of biking i was looking to do. All the old promises and policies no longer exist and they treat people like there doing you a favor coming to this store. Called and ask if they have training wheels that will fit my sons bike. I gave them the size and what kind of bike. Tyler/salesperson said and verified they have it. I even called twice to make sure they have it. I took the trip and when we got to the store, they told me they dont have it. Wasted my time and trip to this place. Not a good thing when there are 4 teenagers taking care of customers. All they do goof around. Bad customer service. read more

I'm really bummed. I'm new to the area so when I saw the 5 star rating on this place I had high hopes this could be a local shop that could help me with my purchases. I went in looking to buy a cruiser for my wife, a mountain bike for me and some type of accessory to take our kiddo around too. I stood in line and when I made it to the front I mentioned to the employee what I was looking for and that I needed help with my purchase. The employee took me around showed me a few bikes but literally in the middle of us talking, they went up to other pair of customers and asked if they needed help. The other customers said they needed some peddles and in the middle of our conversation, the employee left to help them instead. Never even made a mention that they would be back. I stood around in front of the bikes I was interested in for about 10 minutes but noticed the employee was putting the pedals on the other customers bike so I just left. I understand it is busy because of the Covid lockdown, it said so on the sign hanging on the door, but to just up and leave in the middle of the conversation and never come back was very strange. Perhaps I went on an off day for the employee, or maybe the other customers were known previous customers but I can't buy anything if nobody is there to assist me. As I mentioned above, I'm really bummed because almost all the reviews are very positive which is rare on Yelp but, oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , I tried to give them my money. ****Update - Owner writes me back 10 minutes after I leave this review, how could I not give them another chance. I'm changing my rating just for reaching out so quickly. I'll try again this weekend. This is the customer service I kind of expected. ****Update 2 - Rather than delete the entire post above, I'm leaving it for context to show how Craig went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He held up his promise of giving my wife and I the best service possible. We purchased 2 mountain bikes, a child carrier and all the needed accessories to take our new equipment around this weekend for a VERY fair price and we couldn't be happier! I'm chalking up the bad first experience up to just being so darn busy, which should speak to the quality of his business. I used the messenger via Yelp, and got a quick response from Craig. I've never had to fix up a bike before so I was nervous on how these process go. He welcomed me to come in for a free estimate regarding a used beach bike that had a flat tire and rusty chain. I told him I can come in a few minutes and he was more than willing to help me out last minute, as I was eager to ride around to get some fresh air from the quarantine. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by pretty much everyone and Craig introduced himself to me and started checking out the bike thoroughly. I took a look around their awesome shop and started mentally shopping for a cute basket and bell in the future. His thoroughness exceeded my expectations as he made the bike rideable again by fixing the rusty chain, tightening the brake and adjusting the shifter and explained everything clearly. I never felt pressured or upselled one bit and I was beyond overjoyed that he got it working for me to test drive when I get back home for a bit and whenever I'm ready to upgrade parts and do a tune-up, he'll be there, and I assure you that I will definitely be in touch! My boyfriend is a regular at Menifee Bikes and, when I said I wanted a beach cruiser for my birthday, he said it was the place to go. Tina, helped us out and she couldn't be more sweet!!! All of the employees are very helpful and nice. I got a Tiffany blue, Electra...Menifee bikes has a whole section of Electra accessories to be able to customize your bike to fit your personality. My last bike was from Target lol...so being able to pick and choose my bikes color, seat, grips, basket etc was really fun. I came here based on the amount of positive Yelp reviews and I have to agree with all of them. This place is top notch when it comes to the customer service they offer and the ability answer any question or doubt you may have. I was going to purchase a mountain bike for my son and he wanted to see the selection. They have a really good selection and will build it for you if they don't have it in the color you want. We took a few bikes out to the back area to test drive and the guy helping us was super helpful and accommodating. He offered suggestions as my son was between a medium frame and a large frame. As he was talking to us, another employee pulled up and she asked his age and right away said, "no, go with a large, it's better in the long run for you." Felt good to see that even the employees that aren't helping you directly, are looking out for you. Because of this, I went in the next day and took my own bike for a tune up. The fella helping me was very thorough about what is going to get done, what they look for and if there is anything that stands out to let me know. I bought an E-Bike at Menifee Bicycles this morning. I had some doubt if I could ride one or not since I had a knee replacement. I was able to test ride one in the back parking lot. The staff here were all very nice and SUPER helpful. I am beyond excited with my purchase.
