Fast friendly and reasonable prices given the fact that all the bike shops seem short handed on supplies - I even call in advance to see if bike shops have the bike chain or brake pads. Wow what great customer service by Marquis. First time that I went to Menifee bike shop definitely definitely worth a 40 minute drive. Had purchased a carbon frame road bike however the previous owner seized the seat post but I thought what the heck let's give it a try and I'm glad I did. Marquis took my bike and worked on it right away there's other bikes being worked on by different employees so I definitely got lucky to be able to get my bike worked on right away. This place gave me and my wife a weird vibe! I don't know if people steal from that shop or what but I felt like all eyes were on me and my wife if you know what I mean. I've been getting back into BMXing since I'm old now I need the exercise plus it brings back good memories of when I was a kid. So I found really good reviews of the shop in Menifee and my mom lives in Menifee so we drove up from San Diego to check out the shop. When we walk in I already felt eyes on me. There was a lady who semi greeted us with a undertoned attitude "can I help you" and it was not friendly. I was looking for some white tires as I'm trying to put together an old school BMX bike. She semi helped me but you can tell she wasn't happy. I don't know if she was having a bad day but she was scolding I don't know if it was an employee he was a younger guy or if it was her son cuz that's what it sounded like. I'm looking around for BMX parts, old school looking seats etc. and my wife turns me and says they're not really friendly here are they. I was like yeah it's okay babe, so even through the process of paying she was very short didn't even thank us for purchasing anything from the shop. Like I said I don't know if I caught her on a bad day or what was happening because it was really hot outside and I know people get angry when it's hot. I just hope she wasn't acting like that towards us because of other things. If you know what I mean. I was hoping to have a good experience here. One thing she did mention was for us to look at a website called pork chop BMX but even then she seemed disturbed. My wife and my Townie's were stolen and we decided to get Townie 9d bikes to replace them. The problem is that the 9d's are discontinued so supply and color are very limited. After calling several shops around the Laguna area with no luck, my wife found Menifee bikes. Wow what an amazing shop. I came in with my almost 5 year old son and was treated like family. They were more than patient with him and even gave him a snack. The bikes we were interested in were not on the showroom floor but they didn't hesitate to grab them from their inventory and assemble them right there on the spot. Been meaning to write a review on these guys. Came here a couple weeks ago to get my mountain bike repaired. I'm new to this whole mountain bike thing and I thought for sure I needed new tires. Took the bike in, got helped out by a guy named Johnny. Told him I needed new tires and showed me the selections they had while he began inspecting the bike. A few minutes later he comes back and tells me my tires are fine and I just needed new tunes. All this time I thought I had tubeless tires. He gets it fixed and gives me the $24 bill. I was ready to spend a couple hundred on new tires. Really appreciate Johnnys honesty and even explained some of the features on my bike. Johnny couldve easily let me spend the money on new tires. My 80 year old neighbor tripped and broke her ankle in three different areas. She purchased a knee scooter online, however, when we put it together, one of the brakes was broken. I called Menifee Bicycle shop to see if they worked on scooters. I spoke with Craig who was very kind and invited me down so they could look at it. I was so pleased that they had a similar brake that would work. And was even more thankful that they said they would fix it immediately while I waited! False advertising. They advertise safety precautions are in place and there are NONE. People are jam packed in there like sardines. Nobody wearing masks. I asked to wait outside for my bike part and they said nope. I called after we left and asked exactly which are in place and they said curbside service. Not true. The employee was also rude. I'll go back to Jensons. Menifee Bikes clearly does not care about their employees. The owners weren't there of course because they don't want to get sick. This is supposed to be family run. Best bike store ever! I went in not for bike issues but because I take spin class and needed clips. Several of my instructors recommended this store in case I had issues with my spin shoes. The pair I got didn't come with clips and what I ordered wear wrong. Went in about 30 minutes before closing and I assumed they were going to be upset and rushed me out cause come on we all want to leave work on time. Well all I have to say is they are pros, in customer service and on what they do. Everyone was very friendly and Craig was able to help me with my clips and there was another gentleman (sorry can't remember his name) that installed then for me. Although the clips didn't fit the gyms bike I went back to get different ones the next day. Again I was expected to be met with sighs cause who wants a return. Nope again everyone super friendly and helpful. Got my return and new clips on. The store looks very well stocked but I don't do really do outdoor bike stuff lol so I don't know lol. Great place to shop for a bicycle. Very good selection from low end to high end pricing. Although I made a purchase I wished I had a more experienced sales person but he was very very young. I went in looking for a 26" bicycle because of my short 29" legs but some how I ended up with a 29" bicycle and didn't realize that until I got home with the bike. I would have much preferred the 27.5" which the Giant Talon 4 comes in. I was able to cut down the seat post and it seems to be ok. They say the 29" gives a much smoother ride and after all I am 77 years young. read more
