Since I was young, I would get so insecure any time a fancy event came up, because I thought my scrawny body looked too swallowed up in 'em. Recently, however, my best friend found a partner that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, and, as a supportive friend, I knew it was time to face my insecurities and look for a new suit to attend the wedding with. In my search for a local shop, GQ showed up, and I fearfully decided to give it a try. But, to my great surprise, the owner immediately squashed that fear with his kind and calm disposition. He had me at ease, immediately sized me up and found an exact-size suit that fit what I was looking for, and proved to me that it *wasn't* that I couldn't look good in suits. Turn around time was very quick and the earlier you bring them in the quicker they'll have it ready and done by. The owner was very friendly and helpful! They also have tons of selections from scrubs to scissors and badge accessories. I also wanted to embroider my Figs jacket with my credentials and they charge $6 for 1 line and $8 for 2 lines! Very affordable compared to paying $14+ for it from the Figs company. Will definitely come by in the future to get more embroidery done. They also have a discounted price for healthcare workers to have their scrub tops done.

The guy at the register rang everything up, gave me the total, and assured me I didn't need anything else from him. However, when I took the information to the county office, I was told I specifically needed a non-sale receipt. When I went back into the store, I spoke with Sophia at the register, who was very polite and tried to help. She asked her coworker Taylor, who looked into it and called the manager, Dolly, over the walkie to approve it. Dolly's immediate answer was just, "We don't do that." I asked Sophia if Dolly could please come to the front so I could explain the situation directly, and Dolly flat-out refused to come up. To make matters worse, while Sophia was kindly looking for the corporate phone number for me, Taylor rudely told Sophia to stop helping me and move on to other customers--completely ignoring the fact that I was a customer who was there first and deserved to be taken care of. I want to give credit where it's due: Sophia was lovely, apologetic, and did her absolute best to help me. But Dolly completely failed to step up as a manager and do her job. What makes this even more frustrating is that I went straight to another Burlington location right after, and they were able to provide the non-sale receipt with zero issues. The complete lack of management support and customer service from leadership at this store is unacceptable.
