We chose Men's Wearhouse for convenience since our groomsmen were spread across multiple states, but the customer service experience at our local store was extremely disappointing. Every visit felt rushed and impersonal. The staff were curt and dismissive, and despite my husband clearly explaining his measurements and fit preferences, they repeatedly gave him jackets that were several sizes too small. He has a broad chest and shoulders, and it felt like no one took that into account - they just kept handing him the same size until he had to insist otherwise. Two days before the wedding, when we picked up the suit, his vest was noticeably too small and didn't fit at all. We ended up having to drive back to the store during our rehearsal setup to get a new one. That was the day before the wedding - a problem that could've been avoided entirely with basic attention and care. The idea of using Men's Wearhouse is great in theory for group rentals, but our experience with this store's staff and execution was frustrating from start to finish. read more

The moment we walked up, I wondered if it was even open. The glass doors were covered in old tape marks from signs long gone, like a visual metaphor for the store's current state: neglected and half-forgotten. Inside, it was no better -- piles of merchandise, cluttered racks, and not a hint of the polish you'd expect from a brand that used to pride itself on helping people look sharp. We wandered around for several minutes, trying to figure out who actually worked there. Three guys stood chatting like it was a social club, and only when the phone rang did one of them casually say, "I'll get it." That's how we learned they were employees. Still no greeting. No acknowledgment. No "Can I help you?" Nothing. Just awkward wandering until we finally gave up and walked out. RE: Folsom, CA location The suit I purchased was grossly over-priced. Then, without any advance notification, I had to pay additional for tailoring AND beyond that, the tailoring charge was line itemed for every touch point adding an additional & $150 to the total cost. Finally, after having spent more than $750, they wanted to charge an addtional $3.00 for a plastic garment bag. I don't know what I'll do the next time I need a suit, but I sure as hell won't be a repeat customer of yours. read more

I paid nearly $1000 for a suit. When I showed up to get the unfinished pants measured so their tailors could finish them, it took them nearly an hour to even speak to me. Then I called for an update. I need it by a specific day (tomorrow, so we'll wait and see what the outcome is), so I wanted check the status of the order and make things are on-track. I called and spoke with George, who refused to give me an update on whether it would be ready tomorrow (as committed), because "today we're working on today's things, and tomorrow we'll be working on tomorrows". Then he hung up, giving me nothing useful to work with. I called back to ask to speak to the manager, and George claimed to be the manager on shift. If so, that would be extremely shocking. He finally did "check" on the second call, after doubling down, and then me trying to calmly restate the request. However, after the first experience, my trust is lost and I have no idea whether the status I was given is true or not. I have no idea what kind of stressors or commitments the staff at this store may be under, but nearly all of my interactions with various staff members have been very dysfunctional and unhelpful. I sincerely hope they're okay, and wonder what keeps them in this state - it's clearly systemic. 11/10, would not recommend. read more

I went there looking for a sports coat, and as soon as I walked in I noticed a huge difference from when I've shopped here before. All of the sales people (4) were non attentive and the store looked in disarray. No one seemed interested in helping and when I asked for a specific type of sport coat one the of the salesperson said they would check and they never came back. We had a great experience at Folsom men's warehouse. We drove an hour to this location for tailoring after having a terrible experience at the Roseville location. I want to like Men's Wearhouse every time I go, but they make it really difficult. The last three times I've gone in whether to get fitted or simply pick up my rental, an employee told me to scan the qr code. I have had the same experience every time: scan qr code, sit and wait while line on the website doesn't change, watch employees help customers who clearly came in a while after me, repeat. Maybe not all employees are educated on how to check the digital "line"? Regardless after spending an hour in store to pickup a rental that was already paid for, I decided a review was necessary. read more

Hubs has been shopping here recently. He has been looking for a suit and sports coat. I have to admit the customer service is a bit wonky. Getting assistance is a chore. No matter how busy it is, it's a task upon the customers to find an associate. Once you track down someone, you may have to wait to be assisted which is totally fine. But what is not fine is to wait and to watch customers that came in without reservations, and after us, get assisted first. Ugh. But once assistance is provided, everyone was quite friendly, helpful, and patient. It's the hodgepodge process of getting assistance that is headache inducing. The sports coats and suits in the shop are mainly slim fit and modern cut. They have very few classic fits. But you can purchase those online and online purchases can be returned to the shop. The shop also sells jeans, casual wear, button up collared shirts, and ties. They even rent suits and tuxedos, prices start at $150. The clothes are sharp looking... stylish, modernly classic, and on trend. The prices match boutique pricing. read more

I ordered a suit and received a notice from FedEx that it had been delivered to the Men's Wearhouse in Folsom. When I called to follow up on my suit, they were too busy to speak to me after being on hold for 30 minutes I hung up. My initial visit was very good and a representative was very helpful and knowledgeable. Of course, I'm very disappointed that I have not yet received my suit of $600. Such a sad decline post pandemic. Ten, fifteen years ago you could buy Lucky jeans, Allen Edmonds dress shoes, and decent suits at multiple price points. The tailoring was reasonable, what you'd expect in a retail store focused on sales and quick alterationst, not a custom tailor. But the last few years? Is should be called Boy's Wearhouse. If you want a tux rental for prom or your first, very inexpensive suit with okay enough tailoring, and give yourself plenty of time both in store to even get a rep or alterations and time ahead of your event, it's your place. This was true for me in Folsom and in So Cal, which store I forget. The so cal rep talked me into the wrong size shirt (after decades, a feat). It was kind of an emergency, and I ended up with an expensive Kenneth Cole (not my brand) sport coat which does fit well. Their slim fit. I think all they touched was the sleeve length. But the fabric is half synthetic. Now I remember. I wore the jacket long in the sleeves the one day I needed it and came into the Folsom store to get it fitted. Waited a long time. Not one person spoke to me. They had a sign up list where you put your name. There were a lot of kids returning tuxes, but still! After a while, I left and got my sleeves done elsewhere. It's a different world in MW now. Not tailored to professionals as it was ten, twenty years ago. Hope that will change. read more

I rented a suit from this store for a wedding in Santa Barbara. I told them the dates I would be gone and they still charged me a $40 late fee when I brought it back when I said I would. That's not that big of a deal, what is frustrating is I had to go in 3 different times for them to alter the jacket and pants so it would fit. They finally got it right the night before I was flying out which was a little stressful. I asked if they could call it even on the $40 since I had to come in 3 times to get it to fit right and they said they couldn't do anything about that. read more

I rented a suit for a wedding in Tahoe. It arrived later than what the store employee promised. When I finally received it, the suit was too short in the arms and too tight in the legs. Even the wedding photographer suggested I ask for a refund due to the poor fit. It was pretty bad - about 4 inches should have been added to the sleeves. I contacted Men's Wearhouse customer service, who transferred me to the store. The store manager claimed I should have tried the suit on beforehand so they could make adjustments. Which, I would have done this if the suit had arrived on time, but I was running late. The store manager mentioned that the suits are adjusted at a facility in Texas and occasionally mistakes happen. She repeatedly blamed the Texas facility for the errors and said she couldn't issue a refund because her store wasn't responsible, I asked for the contact info for the men's warehouse (Texas facility), but she refused to provide it. In my opinion, it doesn't matter who at Men's Wearhouse made the mistake if we can both agree that a mistake was made. There should be a way to figure out remedy the situation. read more

I had to wait at the register for several minutes when the cashier who finally checked me out said the manager was Amalia and she had been staying in the back. Visited 2 hours after opening and store was completely thrashed. Very difficult to locate sizing, too many garments on hanging racks to be able to find your size. Fitting rooms with garment pins and trash all over the floor. Never greeted, never asked if needed assistance. Either no one is recovering / sizing the store the night before or they are severely understaffed. Either way, horrible experience. Would rather drive to the EG location. read more

Came into look for a suit for our wedding and the man that helped us was EXTREMELY rude. Majorly talking down to us, acting like we were stupid, talked about people "wasting his time", and was honestly kind of mean. My fiancé mentioned he wanted to wear a tie instead of a bow tie and the man made sure we knew that that was a horrible idea to put with a tux, despite that being what my fiancé wanted. The man also said that if there are people in the store shopping, they get priority over appointments, which I didn't agree with. He also said he would not have helped my fiancé if his fiance (me) was not there. Not all brides want to see there man's suit before the wedding, not sure why this is a problem. We're never coming back here, learn how to treat your customers with some respect. read more

My fiancé and I were last minute shopping for a dressy shirt. William made the process so easy that we were in and out of the store within 20 minutes! And that included trying on a top. My husband rented a Tux here this week. He paid just under $300 and they took his measurements 42R slim build. When we went to go to our special event last night he opened up the tux and found his shirt was a 2xl and the vest was a small. Anyway it was disappointing and frustrating. We called right away only to be placed on hold. The we returned it and they would not refund him. They offered $7 said the shit was $2 and vest was &5. They can ruin your event just like that and then rob you at the same time. The people who work here are incompetent and do not offer service nor do they care! read more

1 star because MY suit does look nice now thats its finally here Customer service is terrible. I used MW for my wedding and it has been a nightmare. At first they ran out of the suit fabric I wanted. NBD, they said they would call within 2 weeks for an update. 2 weeks goes by, no update. I call and its still not available but they will call when its ready in a week. Another week and a half goes by so I call in and boom, its available. Great, so I come in again to pick out the matching liner. I do so, come back, and 2 days later they forgot the combo. I drive another 30 minutes to the branch to make sure all is perfect. Great. Guy says "Get everything in within 2 weeks so we have plenty of time to tailor the suits." Everyone orders within 1.5 weeks but now an issue arrises. The liner is no longer available. I have to go back out there to choose another liner so that the others can match. We finally get that orchestrated for a THIRD time but now im no longer confident of their competency so I start working with the manager. He says all is fine but then I called the other branches... No one has heard of an update yet!! I've had to micro-manage the entire process calling every single store to tell them what is needed. None of the stores talk to each other. They make it seem like it will be smooth and painless but here I am 2 days from my wedding and still people are in need of their suits. UNACCEPTABLE. BTW this is my 4th wedding and I've boughten dozens of suits. Never has it been such a terrible experience. Look elsewhere and to save you a headache, this MW was the best out of the (5) closest stores. read more

Went in there to get fit for an important interview and the guy didn't help me very much what so ever and then started helping other people and blowing me off while everyone else in there helping customers stayed with their customer they were helping. It was comically underwhelming in there. Haich was the only retail rep that was attentive to our needs and offered valuable feedback - he's what makes me put 2 stars or else it would have been 0. I guess since we already bought a suit and just came in to try it on after the alterations, the sales reps figured customer service didn't really matter. The thing is we actually purchased items in this visit. At first I was confused cause there's a guy that works there dressed like he works at the Vans outlet store ready to get on his skateboard home, surely I wasn't in a suit store... oh but yes I was. At least he seemed to be more knowledgeable than some of the others. There was another who couldn't bother to stay with us for more than 5 seconds when we needed help - he was too into himself to wanna work. And the other two were just too busy chatting in the corner to even notice the rest of us. If you want a team who prides themselves on the work they do, I recommend going elsewhere. Not sure what's going on here, maybe they aren't given the right incentives to give good service. Whatever the case, don't expect much. read more

Incredible service!!! We came here to pick out a wedding suit for my fiancé. Even though it was busy, Ben was extremely attentive and helped us all along the process, down to every detail. He was very knowledgeable and an excellent salesman without being pushy at all- the most professional and pleasant service experience we've ever had with suit shopping, hands down. He obviously has years of experience as a tailor and gave us great advice. They were able to ship to our home in NY for no extra charge, and the suit came out looking fantastic. Our friends wedding party ordered suits months ago, and two of the most important suits never arrived on time. The best man, and our friends brother. Sean was great at taking care of the situation. He overnighted new suits and made a back up plan. He hand delivered the suits to the venue the day of, which is the day they arrived through fedex. He truly went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The female manager who's name I believe starts with m was snarky, condescending and did not want to help us. We called her the night before the wedding to check on tracking for the suits and to make sure they would be delivered to our venue as Sean previously promised us. She let me know she was the manager, it was her decision and she wouldn't be leaving the store to help us. At the end of the call she said "if Sean promised you, I will see if he wants to drive tomorrow but the person who we were going to send called out sick." When I asked her to repeat her name to me she would not and told me that the suits not arriving was not a men's warehouse issue. We ordered suits through men's warehouse. Sounds like a mens warehouse issue. Again, Sean was great. The lady needs to take a customer service course. read more

Sadly I had a funeral to attend and needed a suit to wear for the day. I came to Men's Wearhouse and they helped me get set with everything I needed. Everyone here was very friendly and extremely helpful. Got me right in and fitted for a suit rental and got my order in very quickly. Spared no time to mess around. Rental was ready for pick up the night before the funeral and they gave me an extra day to return it so I didn't have to rush right back in. When returning my rental they checked it and rung me up right then and got me out and on my way. No hassle what so ever. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a suit or tuxedo for any type of occasion. They are very helpful and treat their customers great. I bought my first suit from The Men's Wearhouse back on the east coast nearly 40 years ago, and have been a pretty loyal customer since, so this was a tough review to write. We rented a tux from this store for my son's prom this week. He is a difficult fit (6'4", 180# and athletic). The shirt was probably 3/4" short, which we could live with. The pants were hemmed a solid 2" too short. In their defense, he took them anyway, and there wouldn't have been time to get it fixed anyway. We also bought a suit here for my older son, also a difficult fit (6'3", 250# with big shoulders, arms and legs from the gym). The shoulders were tight in the jacket, and the slacks were skin tight in the seat and thighs. After a couple of attempts to fix them, we took them to a private tailor. The people here are fine, and if you are buying off the rack you will probably be fine. But I do consider correct fit and tailoring to be important, and they are utterly unable to get that right here. read more

My husband purchased a suit from this location less than a year ago ahead of potential interviews. He went to try to on the suit to wear out for the first time and we noticed damage on the leg. We figured we could bring the suit in to see if they could match the pants and help us purchase a replacement ASAP. Upon arrival we noticed the store was in complete disarray and disgruntled people were standing about. We couldn't tell who the employees or customers were and no one greeted us. After standing for over 5 minutes, we were told by a woman to go to the back of the store and speak with a manager. We walked back to a desk next to the dressing rooms. A woman was sitting behind the desk and was speaking to a man who had an issue with a suit. The woman behind the desk told the man something along the lines of "it's not my problem" and was implying that he wasn't telling the truth about an amount of money he had spent on the suit and alterations. Seeing how he was being treated, I didn't have much hope for our case. We showed her the damaged pants and she immediately said it was moth damage even though none of our other clothes have any such damage. When we asked our options, she silently shrugged and stared at us. I was shocked, as normally a salesperson would say something like "I'm sorry this happened. May I see the garment and we can find another pair of pants to match your jacket? Let's get you taken care of." She made no attempt to even help! We left and drove over to Jos. A Bank at Pavilions where we were treated beautifully and walked out the door with a brand new suit, tie, and pocket square in only 20 minutes. It didn't even need altering.
