I brought in clothing and 3 pairs of shoes to consign and when I called to see what was sold the owner claims there were no shoes. They also told me I had 1 year to sell my wedding dress and later told me no it was 90 days and don't have the dress! The owner lies I will never go there again! read more

If no stars were possible, that's what I'd leave. Experienced same thing when she was located in Pembroke. Constantly tells clients "they were too late picking up". Left a Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater, told "she couldn't find it", got nothing. Across the street when her furniture consignment was there, was told I waited to long to pick up check and she donated it. Giving people nothing for the goods they leave is chronic with this consignment store. Don't go there. read more

Quality Merchandise-Well Displayed-Personable Customer Service is what one encounters when entering Twice as Nice Consignment Shop. None of the sales team associates are "pushy" salespeople. Unless the store is good and busy Twice as Nice salespeople will spend time with you, first truly listening to what you are interested in purchasing and then partnering with you, guiding you to areas of the store where merchandise resembling what you have described is attractively displayed. Team member Kat recently spent 15-20 minutes with me, as I was seeking a new pocketbook. She found me a pocketbook that is perfect; displaying varied sections, it allows me to organize everything that I put in it. It is also vintage, meaning it has journeyed through many life experiences before coming to me in its imperfectly perfect condition. Thank you Twice As Nice. Hope to see you all in the Spring. I consigned dresses here and brought in nine dresses most with tags on them that cost almost $100, one of them was even a brand new with tags Lilly Pulitzer dress. I called to check in on the dresses and they said I made $8 and they "got rid of" the dresses because I was a couple days late calling to check in. Absolutely unacceptable.. I'm sure they kept the dresses to sell. The staff were rude on the phone as well. It seems several others have had similar experiences. Do not bring your clothes here!!!! read more

This place is huge, you could spend hours upon hours browsing through their odds and ends. They have a huge variety of purses and jewelry. The shop has a few different sections, one being upstairs. I don't usually go up there because I never find anything I actually like. They do have a lot of shoes but all the shoes I ever stumble upon aren't in my size (go figure). But one of the perks about consignment shopping is that it is either a hit or miss kind of risk. I highly recommend stopping by here, it's the best consignment shop I have found so far in the Pembroke/Marshfield vicinity. The employees there are kind, helpful, and truly welcoming. The one thing I would improve is the organization methods they use. Sometimes there's just way too much clothing, and i'm sure the employees there get overwhelmed with keeping everything in order.. Perhaps take less items from people trying to sell? Or perhaps expand even more, or even hire another employee to help remain organized. read more

You definitely need to have some time to sift through the inventory, but it's organized and easy to find the categories of clothes you might be looking for. There is a sweater, shirt, pant, teen, formal, and coat section. Jewelry, purses, shoes displayed throughout the store. I found very good quality used clothes, which were very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not go into the furniture section, but would definitely want to check it out. I recommend going here if you're looking to save some money, or even if you just want to shop. Lots of options and a range of designer/regular clothing lines. Great for any age as well. I did about $100 damage on 2 Banana Republic shirts, a GUESS watch, a pair of earrings, a necklace, a pair of GAP jeans ($8), and a cashmere scarf. Some things were more expensive, but not compared to what the original pricing would have been. Ex. COACH purse originally around $200, consignment price about $35 and in great condition. read more

Honestly, do not waste your time. It's not worth the hassle. The contract is ridiculous and if you dare ask any questions you surely will get an education from the owner who will tell you how long she has been in business. The whole process is so unorganized and not customer friendly. The owner is extremely rude and treats her employees terribly the way she speaks to them. Be careful if you leave things to be sold. My daughter left 10 items. They don't give you anything stating what you left. Months later when my daughter went back she wanted to know what sold and how much money was in her account. They brought her up on the computer and said they had her down for only leaving 2 items! We could not prove it and we lost items that we would have kept. read more

I was a fan of this store, having purchased several designer handbags at a great price. However, one day before Christmas I went in gift shopping and found what I thought to be a designer bag but it turned out to be "faux". I didn't realize it at the time of purchase and tried to call the store the next day to no avail. I returned to the store and was told that if items are "faux" it is indicated on the price tag and returns are not accepted. I was bummed because I paid $50 for a faux bag which to me is a rip off. I will not give this store any more of my business. This incident left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I have consigned a number of high-end items with this store - fur jackets, a Hard Rock Café leather jacket, women's suits and more. Their policy of notifying when your items are sold is totally nonexistant. Never notified, never paid a cent. I feel ripped off and would never bring another stitch of clothing to them. read more

If I could give this woman zero stars, I honestly would because of the way she runs her business. She was incredibly rude to me and snarled at my clothes. I brought in about 10 clean, high end name brand items all on hangers and she took 2 of the 10! I couldn't believe it seeing as I had Abercrombie jeans, Express tops, and Hollister sweaters! I went through all of my clothes and only brought what I thought they would take. You'd think I was consigning in the Hamptons, which honestly makes me laugh out loud since this place smells like moth balls and mildew. I give it four stars, only because they don't usually have my style in casual clothes, and the stuff I typically find is all older looking than what I wear. But, with that being said, I bought my senior prom dress there and resold it through them a few years ago. Was super easy. They've always been super nice. Unfortunately I usually go there with $5, and I need at least $10 for the stuff I look at. :) Gorgeous dresses in the upstairs. Found a wedding dress I loved, but it was sold before I bought one. I love going there, especially since I'm a frugal shopper. I usually get into conversations with the ladies every time I go. Great service! read more

This place is perplexing.. We'll start with the positive: they have some higher-end clothing and are arranged by both designer and sizes and the clothes appear clean and in good condition. The bad part is the store in poorly run. On Sunday, the power went out while patrons were shopping. The sales people had no idea how to handle the issue so I suggested allowing patrons to write down their names, ph nos and the items they wanted so they could retrieve the items when the power came back on. The next day, I returned to the store and their register was still offline. Again, they had to set aside patrons' orders. Despite me leaving my phone no. for someone to call me when they were back online, no one did. All 3 of my items were returned to the floor. While they have nice stuff, I find they are very disorganized and poorly run. For this reason, I will continue going to the Style Unlimited clothing consignment store on Court Street in Plymouth as I don't like hassles.. read more

I love this place. Absolutely my favorite consignment shop in the Boston area. I have purchased upscale handbags there, and I always find are armload of stuff! Yesterday, I spent around 100 bucks (birthday money!) and got a couple of Banana Republic items, fall jackets, dresses and skirts. All in excellent condition. The clerks are very friendly and the place is very clean. They don't have too many dressing rooms, so my suggestion is to wear a tank and leggings under your clothes and try things on right there in the room. read more

This shop is wonderful, reasonable, and extensive. They have just about everything...clothes, jewelry, handbags, shoes, formal wear, misc home items...there is a separate children's section too. the furniture consignment store downstairs is separately owned but also cool. i love this place and always come out with something. they are packed with good stuff. if i were the phantom gourmet, this would be my "hidden jewel." the staff is nice too, that always helps a review. you must go. read more

Love it! They have a HUGE selection of everything. I didn't even look through all of the store because I already had my arms full of things I was buying, so I'll have to come back and check it out more often. Being a consignment store you never know what you're going to find, so it's like a treasure hunt ;-) Everything there was in remarkably good condition. I don't know how I never heard about their giant room packed with formal dresses back in highschool!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many (and people rarely wear formal dresses more than once). Rude service. They failed to tell me how I was to bring in my consignment clothes. I made two visits only to be turned away each time. Maybe the left hand should know what the right hand is doing and vice versa. You should inform customers of the policy that you require clothes to be brought in on hangers and maybe post and the hours for consignment drop-off downstairs at the entrance, rather than waste people's valuable time! I will never step foot in this store again and I will be sure to spread the word to others about my terrible experience. This business change their name to "TWICE AS RUDE"! read more

I love consignment shops. I go everywhere and I go often. Twice as Nice has a huge inventory that is always changing. I try to go once a month and I have never left empty handed. If you like to search and find treasures, this is the place to go. I bought a pair of Coach rainboots that everyone compliments me on. I buy the essentials I need for each season, as the price is right and the size selection is always there. I have a problem with the way the business is run. I had brought in a high end leather bag with price tags still attached, a mother of bride gown with matching sequined clutch. This was my first experience with consignment shopping. The woman wrote down my name, address, phone number on paper. She then gave me a ticket stub that identified my items and a business card with a date on it and told me to call back by the specified date if I did not hear from the store. Needless to say I did not hear from the store and lost the business card with the date on it. I think the business could be run in a more professional manner. read more

Here's my experience with this place.... I have never brought stuff into a consignment store before but a friend of mine told me about it so I figured why not. Well I went in yesterday with a bag of items. The 1st woman tells me they don't accept items in a BAG but I guess it was my lucky day(sarcasm) because she would take a look anyways. She then said they are only taking items for fall and winter seasons and I told her I have a couple of suits and she was then to tell me they don't take suits. Unless they are designer(Anne Klein, Jones NY, etc....) which they were so she said ok I bring my bag of suit and stuff down to another woman and she tells me they don't take suits at all. I was aggravated by that point and just took ALL my designer items with me. I will be taking my stuff elsewhere. I also did have a chance to look at the merchandise while I was there and according to the rules of consigning there the items must be in like new, perfect condition a lot of the stuff looked run down and well worn. One example was a pill-y sweater I noticed hanging up. So if your looking for a pair of old Faded Glory walmart jeans go there, don't look for a a nice new designer suit though you'll be S.O.L. read more

I had the same experience as the woman below when dropping off items. I have consigned several items here before and only bring in clean, high end things, and some still with tags. This last time the woman checking in clothes was extremely rude, insulted the item's condition and wouldn't even take one of the items due to a hanger crease, even though they require all items to be hung when brought in. The woman was so pretentious and obviously thinks her store is much higher end than it is. I will never consign nor shop here again. read more

It is a poor business practice that you don't get a receipt of items you leave off. This is a business and they have an obligation to provide that to the seller. I'll tell you why. Months later when I returned to find out what items had sold that I brought it, I noticed that a "brand new" pair of boots from J.Crew I handed the owner were not put on the list of my items I brought in. There was never any accountability or call back from the owner despite two phone calls to find out what happened to the boots. The only one who loses out on this is the consumer/seller. That's not a great way to run a business. read more

I love this place. It's totally hit or miss, but it's a consignment shop, and so, that's to be expected. I stumbled upon this place accidentally, and I'm glad i did. Now it's a staple of mine. Just went back there this weekend, and came out with a bag full of goods in perfect condition, for under $30. There is also a men's consignment shop now, too, and I scored a shirt for my husband, with the tags still on it, for $4. Compared to the other consigment shops in the area, this place is the biggest, has the most variety, the prices are the best, and the staff is always so friendly. read more

This place is unbelievable. I can not believe the amount of high end inventory. I brought my clothing and although their prices are a bit lower than I wanted (fun when your buying)- they sell more of my items- which in the long run gives me more money. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I trade in all my money for their awesome merchandise. It works out great for me.The staff is super friendly. Its a happy place to visit. I was really disappointed with my last experience consigning with Twice as Nice. I had been a customer for years and always enjoyed buying/selling with them. I don't know if they're under new management or something but I had a TERRIBLE experience. I brought in some dresses I no longer had use for and this woman started examining them like she was scrubbing for evidence on CSI or something. She told me that several of my dresses were "not the kind of styles they would sell there", which was ridiculous. They were all designer and purchased in the last year and in very good condition. She finished her examination and took only one of the dresses saying the the other one were "obvious they weren't new". Um...this IS a second hand store right?! I've seen the kind of stuff that she sells there and she's not running a designer boutique or anything even remotely close. Its one thing to be picky about what you allow in your store and its another thing to be completely rude and insult my clothes. I'm never coming back here. They've certainly lost a customer and a consignor. read more
