I want to start my review by stating that I have been shopping at Mens Wearhouse for 15 years, several different locations. Today, this location was busy, but an associate took the time to ensure i got why I needed. She went out of her way to check multiple suits, shirts and accessories. My son's ordered suits for a December wedding. They were "measured" incorrectly. When we got the suits and tried them on, supposedly everything was fine. The jackets were too short, too tight, pants stacked on the shoes, and the tie was too short. I called the manager after the wedding and was told adjustments could have been made. Why wasn't this picked up by their staff. Ties were for vests, which we did not order, and my son had told them that. The manager apologized and refunded $20.00 per person. The wedding was wonderful and the bride and groom are happy. However, the pictures will tell the tale of their poor fitting suits! The staff is amazing, I was there helping my son get a suit for prom, one of the men there quickly grabbed the perfect fitting suit and shirt for my 6 ft 6 200 pound son. It was tailored, dry cleaned and ready for pick up in five days. When picking up there was a real a hole in the store yelling at the staff, super packed on a Saturday, the staff was super professional. Customer was a giant baby put suit on and because no one helped him in the 5 minutes he waited, he changed and then started yelling at the staff. They were calm and cool the whole time. read more

This store only had one employee in the building with multiple customers waiting. He passed over me for my fitting to fit two other customers, despite me waiting patiently for 20 minutes at the front desk. After I brought this to his attention , he said he only fitted them first because of "COVID" precautions...even though I was the only customer considerate enough to wear a mask. After trying several other places with no luck, I had almost given up hope of finding something off the rack that would fit me well. Came in and was immediately greeted by an older gentleman (wish his name was on the receipt so I could thank him personally tr#3520*40*19126) who dropped what he was doing to assist me. He quickly found my size and the items I needed. I'm very happy with my purchases and very satisfied with the look. Salesman was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. Store manager and staff were extremely nice and did their best to work with me -- I flew in from Denver (where I was fitted) for a wedding and my shirt and jacket were way too small. The staff did everything they could to fix the issue and made sure everything was good to go for the wedding the next day. read more

I don't normally write negative reviews but I am extremely frustrated with my experience with this particular store. First last Thursday when I walked in the first gentleman that help me seem to be completely clueless, I had been asking if they sold satin vests and ties that one could wear to prom In various colors other than black. The guy looks at me like a deer caught in headlights and immediately walked me over to the tweed black and dark gray vest that would go with the standard office suit. I explain that that's not what I'm looking for and walked away from him when I saw one of my friends over at the Tuxedo rental counter. When my son arrived we tried to get one of the young nicely dressed gentleman to help us but the only person available was a young girl wearing a stretched out spaghetti strap tank top and an old cardigan. She seemed irritated and distracted but as there was no one else to help us she was it. We decided to rent a tuxedo and she told us that there were two black options for Adam she seemed irritated and distracted but as there was no one else to help us she was it. My son picked the point at lapel and she proceeded to measure him and I asked can't we try them on and she said yes. He tried on a fitted jacket with a pointed lapel and slacks. They both fit very well and he looked fantastic. I told her to order that. My sons prom was Saturday and she said I could pick it up Friday afternoon and to make sure I had it returned no later than 11 AM on Sunday (The prom was Saturday) And that they open up at 10:30 AM. When my son goes to put on the suit Saturday, first of all of the pants were skin tight and long by a good 2 inches. The jacket was not fitted and was boxy and very large. The shoes had some kind of sticky substance on the top of the shoe which we were able to clean off. We immediately went to the store to have them correct it, I telephoned them along the way so they could have everything in our account looked up and give us the appropriate items. When I met my son there( he got there about 20 minutes before me) the seamstress had altered the button and hemmed the sleeves of the jacket and told us that the jacket we ordered was not available in fitted. That didn't make sense because the girl that helped us originally told us that there were only TWO CHOICES and she gave us the fitted jacket with the pointed lapel to try on. I guess she ordered the option that I wasn't aware of. The Seamstress did make it look a little bit better but it was definitely not worth the close to $200 we paid on the rental. So now it is 1045 on Sunday morning and I am here to drop off my suit prior to having to be at work at 11:30 AM and the store is closed. I thought that was usual since they should already be open or should be opening up soon. I just looked on their website and they don't actually open until 1130. So not only did the girl that waited on us screw up the suit but she also told me the wrong time and now I'm going to be a half an hour late for my job. This will be the last time we make any kind of monetary transaction with Men's Wearhouse. I won't be renting or purchasing anything in the future. read more

I used to shop exclusively at Men's Warehouse, but quality and selection have really declined. I received some coupons in my e-mail, so I thought I'd replace some items that were starting to look worn. This location didn't have much to choose from, and what I decided to purchase was "excluded" from 2 different coupons I had ($20 of purchases of more that $100, and 50% off almost everything). It will likely be another few years before I get tricked into going back (if they even stay in business that long). UPDATE: I'm increasing my rating from 2 to 4. MW contacted me and asked me to return, which I did. The selection didn't improve of course, but the service was much better. I was offered some alternatives and was informed some features that used to be stranded (like the shirt gripper) could be added. They also looked for items that the might be able to order. Still hoping to see more color and style selection. read more

This MW is great. They just did a complete remodel and it looks fantastic. Everything is really well organized, clean and better stocked. Its much better than it used to be. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I lost my favorite suit recently and they were good enough to help me to find the same exact suit. Unfortunately it was discontinued. I'm not a huge fan of the casual clothing but its not bad, just not my style. I'm probably going to end up buying a 3-piece suit from this place. read more

I was way behind schedule and ahmed helped by picking out great colors and matching me with a suit that will fit perfect. I am having a wedding in about a year. My groomsmen all wanted to purchase there suits so my fiancé and I picked the suit with a snippy sales lady. But oh well I understand confusion. We come back the second day having two of my groomsmen already measured and I have to call them to come back in because there measurements were lost but this day we had a very polite man taking care of us so all was well. Today we went back in the our best man and another one of Our groomsmen we get them measured and I try to talk to them and let them know what we want but there no one listening they just push me to the side by the time it's time to ring up we are all a little bit confused because they had assumed we wanted tailored and or sent to the store. I let them know that I wanted them sent to my address since the wedding was a year away. The same lady we had the first day proceeded to basically yell at me and my group 3 times because she refused to stop and listen to me. This was the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Just because a few people are confused gives you no write to yell at them or talk down to them. read more

Called to make an appointment to have my husband to be and his groomsmen fitted for their tuxes. We were looking for a navy suit or tux. The lady helping us told us they only had one navy SUIT and we said "oh that's all? Hmm I guess that will do" half way into picking ties and accessories to go with the suit, my mother notices on the backside of the shelf where the rentals are displayed that there is a navy TUX. The employee failed to mention this navy tux and was VERY annoyed when we asked to switch to the tux. If she had initially showed us ALL of our options she would not had to start over. She had a very poor demeanor the whole appointment. She then let me know (rudely) that "We should not have brought the groomsmen together and that it was going to take too long to have them all fitted at once" this is after we had all sat and looked at samples and picked things out. So I questioned why the employee I spoke with on the phone even let me make an appointment if that is "not how it is usually done". I can not count the amount of times she rolled her eyes. For being a rental consultant at a men's suit rental company she did HORRIBLE at explaining things. I could not have been more disappointed. Then to top things off when we are ready to check out she put my wedding date in the system wrong and it took over half an hour to have it fixed again with the excessive eye rolling from the employee, she acted as if it were my fault, even when the paper work said the correct date. She should not be employed there if she doesn't have the patience to wait while people make decisions about their wedding attire. This is probably the worst MW that I have ever been in. I went in to get fitted for a suit and pick out some suits for my Groomsmen to wear for my wedding. The process has been an absolute nightmare. First off, the person put in the wrong SKU numbers into the system, so my guys didn't buy the shoes and belt that we wanted. I only realized this mistake when one of my G-men texted me a picture of what he bought. It also turns out that the shoes and belt that were entered into the system (INCORRECTLY) are in short supply, so not all of them may be able to get them. When I brought this mistake to the manager's attention, I was met with a snappy and less than empathetic attitude. Then she proceeded to tell me that none of G-men had made purchases yet anyway, to which I confirmed with 90% of them that they had. More attitude to come after that. I was also told that when my suit was finished getting tailored, I would receive a call. That never happened, so finally after about 2 months, I called the store and was informed that my suit had been ready for about a month. Appreciate that. Overall abysmal experience from start to finish. Just in-case I needed a few extra things to stress about while planning a wedding. If a mistake was made and they were willing to work with me to correct it, that would've been one thing, but instead I was met with attitude and an overall persona of disinterest. I don't plan to ever step back into this store and I suggest you save yourself the headache and head into Fairfax. read more

Ignore the reviews that were from 2 years ago. This place was amazing. I walked in and was greeted immediately. In a matter of minutes I was asked about my preferences, needs, fitted, and was on my way out the door. I intended to pick up my suit 3 days from the day I came in but they had it all ready for me by the time I was done deciding on other accessories to purchase with my suit. Mr. Todd helped me out and did not pressure me into buying anything I did not want. If anyone is looking for someone to fit them, ask for Mr. Todd, he is your man.Their product and service are top notch. Can't wait to come again. read more

I've ordered stuff online for pickup, I've gone in there with a bunch of gift cards, I've had them order pants for pickup. I've not hand a single hiccup there. Nothing but courteous workers. This location had SIX people working and NO one in the store. I walked in with my wife and one employee asked me how I was doing and pointed me to the right spot. I picked up a sports coat tried it on and still NO assistance. I put the jacket back walked to the front of the store and asked to see the Manager and no one knew who the Manager was, on top of that one employee was sitting comfortably on the counter. I walked out and called the distract manager. They don't know who I am my name is in the computer they better ask Hawaii!!!!! Pissed and looking for another Men's Warehouse ..... As I was being helped by an associate we were rudely interrupted by a woman and her son as though I was not there. The sales associate dropped me and took off to help her with a handkerchief. I bought two suits from them little over a year ago no real problems but not the best experience I've ever had. I came back today to have them taken in as I have lost weight and the suit is too big in the waist and I want to look nice for my friend's wedding. Figured if I stopped in on my lunch break it would be an easy in and out event, as it was taking in the pants and maybe the coat, nothing complicated. Walk into the store, at least two employees, that I could see, were hiding around the corner at the front of the store having a cigarette break- no acknowledgment of me entering the store (with garment bag in hand). I walk inside, there is one associate on the floor helping someone pick out casual clothes- said associate stops what he is doing, looks at me, looks around the store, and goes back to talking about polo shirts with the customer- didn't bother to acknowledge my presence, get another associate, etc. I decide to head to the register- thinking someone must be heading that way as there were random boxes of cologne, clothes and trash strewn about the counter. Wrong. The only other associate I could see, was hiding in the back leaning on the door frame to what appeared the backroom, he also looked to the front of the store made eye contact with me- no acknowledgment of me even standing at the counter with my suits in hand. Instead he was playing with clothes hanging back there talking to at least one other associate whom I could see, but could definitely hear cackling in the back. After wasting ten minutes of my valuable time with no customer service in return I decided to leave so as to not waste the rest of my break. To avoid a repeat of today, I must waste more time driving to a different location under the assumption that the customer service surely cannot be worse there. This by far the worst customer service I have had in years. Perhaps if I appeared as if i were a prospect for a comission or sale, someone would have helped me. Rented tuxedos for my son's wedding. Costly, but very cheap material. Just before wedding several guys lost buttons while trying to get ready. They were sewn back on. When I commented to the store about the quality of the tuxes and the buttons, his reply was, "It happens." No compensation. Not even a "sorry". I bought a suit here 2 years ago. Went back to buy another in May, but when I shied away from the more expensive suits I was abandoned by the salesman. Decided to try Macys. The attendant there was helpful and pointed out that the size Men's Wearhouse was trying to fit me in was too big. Bought one for much less than MW, and I get more compliments when wearing it. Love the suit from Macys, and now hate the one I purchased previously from MW (too big and baggy). read more

I don't really understand all the negative reviews. You go in there, you get a suit. They have a tailor you get tailored. You get a suit that is more expensive then JCP and cheaper then a 2k suit. Not rocket science. They have a good selection, people are helpful enough, know what you want ask for what you want but they're not their nor are they paid to choose your wardrobe. I find the best time to go is when you are planning on spending some money on multiple suits. They have good discounts on those. For instance they had a buy one suit get the second suit free. Obviously it really means 50% off two suits. Again, good deals for multiple suits, a nice tailor. Don't go in there if you are in rush but it's a suit place rarely do you get in and out of that place you want to look good - it takes some time. And know what you want, or at least have an idea - they aren't going to do all the work for you but I don't understand why that one is so hard to understand.... read more

Let me start with the positives I have to say about this particular Men's Wearhouse in Manassas, VA. The staff who assisted me in choosing the pair of tuxedos I purchased were easy to work with. Prices were what I expected $300+ despite being on "sale". The problems began when I wanted to swap out the pants that came with the 'set' of jacket/pant. The management refused to do it, so I essentially bought a 2nd pair of pants I did not need. The store manager, Jeff explained that the set is 'married' and cannot be sold separately from the jacket nor exchanged for a better fitting pair of pants. Additionally, despite the receipts stating a 90 day return policy - it states in fine print it is ultimately up to the store manager. I am unable to return the pants I do not need. The other incident is about finding a tuxedo with tails. I needed the most formal of tuxedos with tails, and the only way to get this was through their rental service. I wanted to purchase and was told I could "lose" the tuxedo and pay the replacement fee of $200. No problem- and I was told by THREE people including the initial salesman, the rental clerk, and Jeff- the store manager that this was inclusive of the jacket, vest, and bow tie. I did not need pants, nor shoes and this was agreed to with a handwritten note on my receipt. When the time came to pay the replacement fee- it was close to $300. The jacket itself is $200, the vest another $60, and bow tie $20- plus tax. This was unacceptable and I was told they never agreed to this deal despite being shown the receipt with their own handwriting. Regional management was no help either. Maybe corporate would care to hear my story- if not- no big deal- I'm so angry I'm almost considering simply buying out the branch and shutting down the store. Jeff is a businessman after money, nothing else. Unfortunately, he screwed the wrong person who happens to have a lot of it and I will be taking my consumer needs elsewhere. I will also be forwarding my experience to all of my colleagues/coworkers- who frequently purchase suits and tuxedos. Edit: Let me add that the store also did not notify me when the coattails did arrive- I had to call them to find if they had gotten the inventory yet. Also, please let me iterate that this is not a money issue, but a customer service issue involving management. read more
