Rather than the salesperson double talk try this instead: "We charge to alter the suit when you buy it but any future alterations are free." I went to the one on Indian Bend instead where Gabi sold me a suit that was twice as expensive but I left HAPPY because she was forthright. Caveat: Me my hearing is really bad so it's possible I misunderstood the first clerk who actually was very friendly and helpful - I just felt like I was getting "sold" on the alterations which clearly rubbed me the wrong way. read more

We went to two different stores. The one we originally went to was in Ahwatukee, Az. (Phoenix) Not great , we just kind of got deserted and no one ever came back before we walked out of the store. The other store was in Chandler, Az very helpful and personable. The pants needed hemming and was done within an hour which was greatly appreciated. I shop at the mens Wearhouse for my son and husband's suits. Have never had any issues and customer service has always been on point. My son visited the store in Tempe and Rocky definitely needs to work on his customer service! I spoke to him as I am in California and had some alteration questions and he rudely stated to me I have been doing this for 40 years and I can put your son in a suit thats fits him now or later. There was no need for such a smart a** remark- he could just of said since his event is tomorrow really his only option is to get the better fitting suit today. First it wasn't my intent to post this as a review however I couldn't find a direct email to the store, so here goes. Was in Tempe for a work event that carried over an extra day, so I needed something to wear. Where else to go but Men's Wearhouse! Was looking for anything casual but ended up going with a full suit. I was familiar with the brand, so I thought it was a win. I know my sizes and how I like my clothes to fit me. This particular jacket and pants combo came with a free shirt. I gave the young lady who was helping me (she was great) my size. I heard someone say, THAT'S NOT GOING TO FIT HIM! I gave him my size again, he said the shirt is very slim and you won't get in it. Now this assumption was made without a tape measure or even opening the shirt for me to try on. I've lost 80 lbs. in the last year and a half so yea I can be a little sensitive when someone judges your size knowing how hard I've worked. Anyway, I'm proud of my size and I love my fitted clothes. He tried to get me in another brand to which he still felt would not fit me. At this point I'm ready to go so I told the young lady to give me the biggest size, since I'm buying the suit and the shirt is free. I got back to my hotel and decided I'm going to try the shirt on, you guessed it, the shirt was too big. I took it back for the original size I requested in the first place. Going to leave it at the fact of judging me by my weight and not judging me by something else, as if I didn't know what I wanted. I will stick to what I know moving forward. read more

This review is for Men's Wearhouse located at 2010 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Ste 105, Tempe, AZ 85281 Arrived at the store and was measured for a suit rental but they didn't have anything in my size, so walked over to the custom suit area and was helped by the store manager Stephanie who asked lots of questions and took several measurements. I decided on the Joseph Abboud Heritage suit and was coded as a Perfect Fit, so hopefully in few weeks I will be happy. Would leave a 0 star rating if possible. I am EXTREMELY irritated with mens warehouse, their custom suit process and customer service. My fiancée ordered a custom suit for our wedding and they guaranteed it would arrive my may 2nd. It is now may 6th and they have NO idea where the suit is. We get married on the 12th and they have not been able to help us at all. When we called on may 4th asking if the suit had been delivered they said it will be here in 2 days. We called on may 6th and they were not able to tell us where the suit was and why it had not arrived but they would look into it and call us back. She finally called us back and did not provide any answers as to why we don't have the suit and said come in and we will get you in a suit we have here. But the suits they have in stock do not match the rest of our wedding party. Now we are running around 6 days before our wedding trying to find a suit. This is also the 2nd time they have messed up a customs suit order for my fiancée. read more

I want to thank Men's warehouse. I was in my Best Friend Richie and Chelsea's wedding a couple years back and we all got fitted here. Craig our family friend came, Jose Richie's cousin as well and other family friends. They did an amazing job. I've been friends with them for the last 20+ years. I met Richie when I was in 2nd grade and his Mom would make me break every morning. She taught me sone Spanish, helped me mentally and how to treat women. Thank you! Richie's step Dad has been a mentor to me as well. Going to Suns games, drinking beer together, watching SuperBowl games together! They made this wedding amazing for me with how fresh I looked. They had one job.. I had to rent a tux for a buddies wedding, i got measured at the tempe marketplace location. When asked where i wanted my tux delivered is said this same location. Upon going to pick up my reservation i find out it was delivered to 77th ave and bell. 40 miles away from the location i had requested. This is not even a peak tux season, summer is when they are the most dead. And they messed up the most simple transaction. I will be hard pressed to ever come back read more

Giving a one star rating because well I guess they accomplished something? My fiancé and I walked into the store and waited to be greeted with someone as we had an appointment placed for him to get his measurements taken. We were greeted by a young man with food in his mouth and jeans on, no clue he even worked there. He approaches us and says "sup". My fiancé asks him umm do you work here? And he says yes. We explain to him that we have a fitting appt, which he takes us to the back register. Him and another employee then proceed to exchange what felt like a bet of who was going to do the measurements and who was going to enter in the info. He keeps referring to a group (we later find out he was referring to the grooms party) but we knew nothing about this as we hadn't set up any group yet. I then informed him this was the groom and he mumbles an unenthusiastic congrats. They take the measurements and continue to joke around with each other, didn't even follow my fiancé over to the mirror to check out the fit. The whole experience was absolutely trash I have no clue how this place has 4 stars. Come to find out, it was this young man's last day. Guess he had better places to be. Oh and another employee announced she needed a cigarette break. My fiancé later went back to get his deposit back and was treated the same way, and it was easily noticeable that other men who weren't black were treated with more respect and courtesy upon entry. I think this is worth noting. Although the manager took accountability and apologized, doesn't appear that means anything will be changing. I hope they do better. read more

On top of that they tried to up charge me for needing the suit longer than a week. The manager cared less than the sales associate. Avoid this place at all costs. I took the suit to another tailor and they basically laughed at the work. I live 3 1/2 hours away from the closest store so my time is very valuable. The Quality of their Suits are an excellent value and top notch. I get so many compliments from associates and friends every time I wear their clothing. Stephanie the manager and her team go above and beyond every time. In the last 16 months I decided to updated my suits and business attire. Last year we had an incredible retail experience with the Indian Bend location (Reggie), so we decided to stop by the nearest location (Tempe Marketplace) to pick up a prom suit to purchase. We were NOT greeted by any sales associates. Two associates were behind the register and never said a word until I asked a question about an outfit on display. She told me it was purchase only, and pointed to the general location of the suits. We wondered around for at least 15 minutes (passing at least 2 more associates) not knowing where to start for fitting, so we left. We ended up buying at a competitor, who not only greeted us but found the perfect suits! Today, the Tempe Marketplace location lost 2 suit sales. First time buying a suit. I went into men's Wearhouse three weeks out of the date I needed the suit. Apparently this is waiting until the last minute so schedule accordingly. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When my suit came in it was the wrong size. The staff assured me it was right and asked me to try it on. I could get the pant leg maybe three inches past my knees. I think it was a youth size. It was comical that they insisted me to trying it on. They ordered the correct size and this only took two days. My overall experience was ok and I may come back here again for another suit. read more
