I had to update my review since my first experience shouldn't really reflect on this business. It was a Huge misunderstanding. I recently went back and bought a vintage sweater I gifted to a friend, and three coats (two of them vintage). I was So happy with my purchases and the owner was gracious enough to explain and apologize for the previous mishap (she even offered a discount, which I had to decline). This is a pretty good store if youre going to buy band shirts or posters. DO NOT go if you are planning to buy boots. i went to buy some knee high boots and the owner told me over the phone that they were TUK boots that had a zipper on the side and screws in the bottom. he said that he had them so i went all the way over there to discover that the boots were 2 sizes too small, USED, and they werent TUK or had the zipper. i would go here for shirts but if youre looking for boots go to a store in HOLLYWOOD called HOTROCK they are amazing!! read more

I've been trying to make some time to visit this cool little shop to buy myself some creepers. They had a pretty wide variety of them so to speak. The downside was they only have a limited amount of these shoes and so I had to keep trying on different ones just to see if they had my size. I ended up purchasing Demonia's leather creepers for only a mere $40! On other websites they usually sell for around $50-70. All in all, the guy that worked there was friendly, but it would have been helpful if he had helped me out since it was my first time here. Nonetheless, this store is full of interesting vintage clothing, vinyl, and band tees! I will be coming back for more of those creepers! read more

I came across MeowMeowz In 2009. My mom was driving on the opposite side of the road, and was all "Look!" and so we went in----- and then I didn't come back into the shop for another two years or so. Haha! I swear I live fairly close to MeowMeowz, I'd like to think I would have more time to stop by. However, my shop visits are infrequent, and when I do go I always leave with a little pin or an internalized pining for an item that wouldn't even fit in my mess of a closet. A while back, possibly last summer, the lovely Ms. Veronika and my mother once graciously talked me out of shaving my head and to sit and think about it. I haven't shaven my head ......yet. I can feel it's coming sooner or later. It will happen within my lifetime! read more

This review is long overdue! I've known Veronkia since the opening of MeowMeowz. Besides MeowMeowz being one of the best vintage punk, rock clothing stores there is in Los Angeles, Veronika is someone you must meet! She's a legend in Pasadena and beyond, a hardworking woman with a heart of gold! If you haven't been to MeowMeowz, it's a must see, there are vintage clothes, records and so many hidden gems in her store, not to mention concerts and all kinds of interesting events. I went in there and cleaned out there pants. I guess i just got really lucky they were all a perfect fit. Super cheap too like $10 bucks. I love these type of stores that practically don't exist anymore. I will cotinue to support this little gem as much as i can. Please don't turn it into a hot topic sort of place. I really love this shop. The workers there are always so sweet and it's got a really fun, random variety of stuff, not just clothes. Fun weird handmade art and jewelry and knick knacks too and a music selection. But the clothes are really really cool. Some vintage stores are great merch-wise but the atmosphere or the staff are so stuffy they make me never want to come back. I am sad to say every time I visit this shop it seems to be closed :( went twice in a week. My lunch break is at 12 and it opens at 12...not a problem right?
