I called last minute for a haircut and was lucky to get in today. I saw Skye today and she was phenomenal! I was a little nervous because the haircut I like is very precise and have had stylists in the past tell me they're not comfortable doing it. She listened to my concerns, we did a thorough consultation and she delivered as promised! The haircut is exactly what I wanted, the shampoo was super relaxing, she explained all the products she used and the blow out was good too! This was my third visit to this salon. I wanted bleach blonde highlights. I cannot talk as I lost my voice due to cancer. My husband made the appointment for me and stressed the bleached highlights. I took a whiteboard and marker and wrote "I want bleach highlights. I have lightened my hair since I was a teen. I know what works for me and what I like. The stylist started matching darker colors to my hair, and I wrote again, I want the lightest color you can get. This stylist was short, and she kept asking me to scrunch down in the chair. I just had this surgery 8 weeks before, and my body had not recovered yet. I spent three hours in her chair, scrunched up in a ball so she would have to stretch. When we finally got to my trim, I told her to forget it. It had been almost 4 hours since I walked in the door. She dyed my hair an amber brown with honey-like highlights; all the wrong colors and charged me $195. My husband stopped in to complain that the stylist didn't listen to him or me. All the stylist said was "I'm sorry." I don't like posting negative reviews, but I never heard from them again. Additionally, the owner, who was aware of my surgery, informed everyone that I would win the award for being the quietest. Then she followed with, I'm kidding She had surgery and can't talk anymore. I still haven't gotten used to the complications of cancer and what it has cost me, but I didn't need to have it announced to a group of people I didn't know, only to be embarrassed. read more

I had Kristina Lee as my stylist and she's like letting your best friend do you hair. She's very friendly and sweet and she really cares about making the customer feel beautiful. She did a lovely job on my hair. I really wish I lived here because I would have her as my stylist all the time. I followed stylist Bri here. She is amazing! Her attitude and skill are the best I have found. The whole salon is upscale but very comfortable. The staff is always very attentive and crazy polite. I love the whole state and set up. I have yet to get my color done but, I have seen what they put out and it's stunning! I had an appointment for a perm at 9. The salon was locked because the stylist was running a few minutes late. I was about to leave but she showed up just in time. It took about 3 hours for the session. She washed my hair before and after the session, which is probably why my perm wasn't as curly as I wanted it to be. It's barely wavy. Extremely disappointed. I should've known it was a bad idea when I saw her reading the instructions on the box of perm, but I didn't. I would've called to get it redone but I'd rather not waste my time and her time redoing my hair. Only reason why I gave her 3 stars is because she spent a lot of time on my hair, I loved my hair when it was first done, and she also helped me with my son who came with me to my hair appointment. read more

I like this studio overall and my stylist was pretty good about cutting my hair and styling it the way that i wanted. With the whole COVID thing going on I was willing to look for a place to cut and this place definitely delivered. The price was a little higher than other hair studios but I was overall happy. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because i waited almost an hour after my scheduled appointment time to actually sit in the chair. read more

This might be a little long ..but worth the read! I have yet to get an actual haircut since I've moved here. After having my sides shaved for close to a year ..I finally let it grow out and wanted to cut my hair short again. I was super scared to cut my hair because I didn't want to go home with something I just wasn't happy with. I did ask people for recommendations but after viewing their page and reading the reviews I just wasn't happy with what I was reading, and yes I know it's more of a personal experience. Nonetheless, I found Meraki and really loved what I saw in the pictures. I saw Jamie and she was beyond polite and very attentive to me. I showed her pictures of what I wanted or at least similar, and the end results I was beyond happy with! We talked over the whole course of me having my haircut (which I like, not a big fan of just silence) and I got to know a little about her. If you're looking for a place to get your haircut ..this is the place to go! Even if you see a different stylist, everyone there was just so into their clients, which is awesome! Jamie also does color and once my hair grows out enough I plan to have her do my color! So happy I found this place and can't rave enough about it! Before I forget, the decor is spot on!! read more

Just moved from SC & wanted a change. Made an appointment fairly easy explaining the issues I had & vague description of what I had in mind. I messaged through the FB page giving pictures of what I had in mind & also a picture of current style. I was set up with Amanda. The morning of they called & asked if I wanted to come earlier since there was a cancellation. My haircut took 1 1/2 hours- which is really long. But so was my hair, my hair was so damaged from coloring & not reacting to the harder water here that it was a tangled mess. Amanda took her time with my unruly CURLY hair making sure the cut was perfect. She even dried it straight to check the cut. Few know how to cut curly hair. You can just wack it off. Once dry it will shrink several inches higher. Time for color. We discussed the color & she attempted to make sure the 2 colors would blend & look well for my curls. We colored all over to my natural root color then "high lighted" with a dark red. After All was done the red wasn't showing that much. So I let myself get used to the cut & color over the weekend. Went back in order to address the lack of red, she put plenty of red in my hair and it looked fabulous until I washed it the following day when most of it came out. the lasting result was a pinkish color. She offered to fix again at no cost, but I decided just to color it all brown and leave it for a while. We will figure out a new way to get the red to stay at a later time. Amanda was fabulous and willing to go above and beyond to make me satisfied. Red is a very difficult color to deal with and I understand this. unfortunately my hair doesn't want to cooperate. I will return and recommend Meraki, they are a great bunch of women who genuinely care about your hair. read more

First time experience at Meraki for a wash and cut. Candice was awesome! She offered suggestions and was extremely helpful in explaining what she would be doing. I generally leave a salon with my hair shorter than I'd expected or asked for, but not this time! She cut it dry initially, then washed and dried it. My hair is fine and wavy, and bounces up the moment water touches it, so I really liked that she cut it dry. read more

When I go to hair salons, especially for the first time, I like to give a general guideline of the color I want and the rest I leave up to the stylist. Not only did this place come highly recommend but it even still surpassed my expectations! You're instantly greated and offered something to drink, entertained by beautiful decor and very kind fun stylists. The place is very clean and all the stylists seem to have a good sense of what a client wants. Competitive pricing, high quality color and an over all pleasant experience.
