Litchfield is lucky to have Meraki! Great people, food, atmosphere. Full cafe, nitro brew coffee, baked goods (fruit and oat bars are the best), awesome deli chicken/quinoa/farro/etc. salads, and amazing selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, wraps, salads, tacos, etc. They use locally sourced foods and take great pride in the food and drink they serve. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Only bummer for the patron is they are closed Sundays/Mondays, but I do love that their staff has these days off. read more

Just ate here for the first time this morning and I loved it! The people working here are delightful, upbeat and warm. The iced coffee is delicious and both my boyfriend and I got the breakfast burrito and it was beyond delicious. So good! The prices are a bit on the higher side but not much more than you'd pay at Bantam market. And everything looks and tastes fresh. The prepared foods looked amazing, ginger slaw, broccoli salad and prepared filet all looked fresh and yummy. My daughter and I drive by Meraki's every day and we finally stopped in for lunch. Let me just say I want to eat there every day. The food was amazingly good and very innovative. The ingredients were fresh and alive. I had an apple and celery root soup which was to die for. My daughter had the spring rolls which she devoured. The seating is limited so I recommend take out but I want to worn you that you will not be able to wait the drive home to eat it. The owner and counter service was refreshingly polite. My friend and I found this hidden wonder in Litchfield CT. We are both gluten free and were so happy that they offered gluten free options. Much to our surprise they had a lot of options! The gluten free roll I had their delicious chicken salad on was the best gluten free roll I had ever had!! and the chicken salad was outstanding. My friend had the lemon caper tuna and couldn't stop raving about how great it was, it was YUM after every bite she took. We each got the 3 salad box, we had 6 different salads to share. Guess what they too were outstanding!! Now let's not forget about dessert, OMG we were in heaven enjoying the GF magic cookie bars. Meraki has perfected gluten free, finally a place to enjoy gluten free food!! I don't want to leave the staff out, they were amazing. So friendly, made us feel welcome when we walked in and took the time to explain what things were. Needless to say this is a must try if you are ever in Litchfield. Knew I was going to be in the area visiting and my date suggested we go for breakfast. I love to eat healthy and support local mom and pop gems so I turned to yelp to see what was in the area. Yelp never disappoints. Meraki had great reviews, so we decided to check it out. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I ordered an egg, cheese, bacon, avocado and tomato sandwich on a homemade roll. He ordered his sandwich with no avocado, tomato and sausage instead of bacon, what a treat we loved it!! The homemade roll was so soft and paired perfectly with the contents of the sandwich. Heather who took our order was so pleasant and engaging. She provided fantastic service, which made our experience unique. I can't wait to go back when I am in the area again and try additional menu items. read more

The owners, Martin and Patty are dedicated, friendly and outgoing, and they are trained, professional chefs. Stopped in here last Saturday for a rainy late breakfast. As soon as we walked in we were a bit overwhelmed as it is a small space and there are so many good things going on in there. While struggling to make a decision we were greeted and chatted up about the menu from the staff, who were extremely cheerful and helpful despite how busy it was. I had the porchetta egg sandwich, which would usually be out of my egg sandwich comfort zone. The combination of flavors and quality of the sandwich made it stand out so much that I can't remember what my girlfriend had, but she enjoyed it, I know that. Right after we ordered our breakfast sandwiches, someone next to us and had ordered the tomato/saffron soup. As soon as I smelled it, I headed right back up to the corner to order that and a chicken soup, both were amazing. I was so impressed. I haven't even mentioned how the menu has something for everyone and tries to remain healthy and local. It seemed that there were a lot of regulars there, I can see why. Keep in mind that it's a bit small and cramped, if your trying to sit down for lunch with your five kids, it will be rough. But, you're in Litchfield - so order it to go, as there are only 5 million places nearby to sit down and have a picnic. read more

For my first visit I must say I wasn't very happy. I placed my order for the Grilled Havarti at 12:38 and didn't receive my sandwich until 1:00. yes they were busy but when people coming in after me ordering received their sandwich, soup, snacks or whatever else they ordered was very unprofessional.
