Amazing place!!! Very small and cozy but fits a good amount of people. They have a little bit of everything, sandwiches, burritos, all kinds of salads, pastries...literally everything. Nicely priced and very welcoming. I had the tuna sandwich and a tea it was really yummy and they had a nice tea selection. They even call you by your name which is really nice. Super friendly staff and very clean kitchen and bathroom. They also have WiFi so I was able to get some work done while I was there. Would highly recommend to friends. I'm only in this area once a year but I will totally be back! New favorite spot in Litchfield. read more

Nothing bad to say about this charming eatery in my beautiful home town! This is exactly the sort of establishment that was lacking from Litchfield for years and years and boy was I happy to see how well it was doing when I stopped in on my visit to an old friend. The cafe has a little bit of everything- coffee, tea, other drinks, fresh pastry, breakfast sandwiches, deli classics, a HUGE assortment of freshly made salads that suit a ton of dietary needs (gluten free, paleo, vegan, etc etc), tacos, entree salads and daily specials too. They use locally sourced foods whenever possible too. I had one of the specials, a cobb salad, and they easily subbed out cheeses for me. My friend had the steak tacos with brussels sprout slaw on the side. Oh my goodness both items could not have been more delicious. We both also had a different variety of iced tea that was brewed for the day- Harney and Sons teas-- the best! The service was excellent- everyone was over the top accommodating, friendly and kind. They also didn't bother us to leave, even though the area to "eat in" is small and we were taking up primary real estate. I think that the small space is actually the only thing that I didn't think was top notch- it was very clean but oh so tiny! I'm pretty sure they don't have much hope of expanding given the piece of land they are on so I hope this doesn't impact them in a bad way because I can't wait to go back and try something else soon. read more

With a solid five star rating, this establishment did not disappoint. A bit of Googling to identify ingredients, and then some pondering about unusual combinations, led to some excellent choices. We started off with the rainbow hash, followed by the steak sandwich and porchetta rice bowl, and finished with a lemon bar. The entire meal was under $40, and we left quite full. Most excitedly, everything was excellent. My rice bowl was the ultimate comfort food, and the wife's steak sandwich was delicious. The lemon bar was perfect. The specials change frequently, and the regular menu is varied, so if we lived closer, we would be here at least once a week, since it's not a place one gets tired of. Most importantly, it is minimally processed, from the farm fresh, natural food. Something that does not have the post fact guilt associated with it. I love leaving full and happy. read more

I cannot wait to come back! We picked up a bunch of things for dinner- the bolognese lasagna, ginger noodles, and apricot chicken salad. All truly wonderful! We also got several baked goods- the blackberry galette, a bacon/arethusa cheese scone, brownies, and cookies. Loved it all! We stumbled across Meraki after visiting the Litchfield Distillery this past weekend. My wife and I had a wonderful lunch. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I had a Cuban sandwich and my wife had the Rice Bowl with porchetta. Both were fantastic. Their coffee is also great and they even have a nitro delivery system (for us coffee geeks!). We enjoyed our meal so much, we took a large serving of BBQ chicken mac and cheese with kale and cauliflower home for dinner. It was awesome! The place is small, with about 8 small tables. The decor is pleasant but the atmosphere is that of a casual sandwich shop. You order at the counter and then find a seat and the staff brings your food out to you. Everything is prepared to order so food takes 10-15 minutes to arrive. read more

Amazing. The porchetta sandwich was unbelievable. The hash, which was potato with peppers, onion, bacon, and egg, was spiced so that an otherwise familiar dish was taken to a whole new level of breakfast food. I also had a strawberry and almond muffin, easily the best muffin I've had in my life. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and we got the cold prepared food to go for lunch. Meraki has to be my favorite place in the Northwest Corner. I've lived in the area for 9 years and have never found a place like Meraki. They cater to the dietary needs of vegans, vegetarians and of course carnivores. Baked goods with bacon in them and sometimes vegan choices in the sweets case! Their salads are always of the best quality and taste delicious every time. The lemon poppyseed scone is to die for; and the matcha and chai lattes (iced and hot) are my favorite drinks. After walking out of the Corner Restaurant due to bad service and waited for our lunch that never arrived after 25 min, Meraki staff and meals were fabulous. Even the chef came out to chat! The first time I experienced Meraki, it was towards closing time, and the young girl who helped me seemed a bit (overwhelmed?) by my questions. It was my first time, and we were just looking for something warm and minimally processed to take home. So obviously, I am going to ask "what do you have?", "what's good?", "what do you recommend?". (I think these may possibly be forbidden questions...?) My sister had received these restaurant.com vouchers when she joined BJs, and we weren't quite sure how the program worked - needless to say the young woman wasn't too sure, and the owner I dealt with seemed a wee bit annoyed by my lack of understanding. I am a very humble person who is more than willing to admit when I am just having a major brain block, and I just wasn't getting it. Cutting to the chase...we spent $40 (using one $25 voucher) and went home with two quarts of chicken soup that was very bland. The second time going in was not that much better; my sister and I had each ordered an organic chicken parmigiana sandwich. It was super soggy, and was quite flavorless considering. I will say my experience with the counter person during this visit was much better. She was pretty lax, and had a typical "how is it going" conversation with me. Overall, if you're really looking for something organic, vegetarian, etc. and could care less about cost and your taste buds, have a go at this place. read more

A little disappointed given the good reviews for this place. Very nice friendly staff, everything looks good, includes my food. However I don't like the taste of my food at all. Too much lettuce and fatty pork, not enough rice, kimchi doesn't really go with the dish (or they just put too much), and the two thin sliced avocado does not look fresh and barely provided any flavor. I would return to try out other stuff but will not order the rice bowl again. read more

This place just gets better and better with every visit and now deserves a 5 star rating for outstanding quality, creativity, execution and service. Currently the best there is in the area for a casual lunch or breakfast. This is the only place I eat burgers because they are the absolute best I eat out. In fact I can't make this as good at home because their homemade brioche bun is stupendously delicious. It doesn't dissolve into mush like other buns. It holds its own and allows you to enjoy it to the last bite. I just can't rave enough about this gem and if you haven't been there you are missing out on a treasure. read more

This is one of my favorite places ever, everyone who works here is beyond friendly and welcoming. The daily quiches are great and I always grab a slice to go along with a scone or muffin and my breakfast. Flavors for pastries are always changing and interesting combinations! I enjoyed the cappuccino so much that I drove 40mins to get another one about a week after my first visit! Went for lunch today and was 100% satisfied. It was a Saturday about 1 o'clock and there was only one table left but when we inquired there was another table coming available shortly, place is small but not overcrowded. The menu is short but the variety is good. There are also cold salads already made to accompany your selection. I ordered the porketta and my boyfriend got hanger steak. They were both really delicious, you could taste each ingredient. We got the soba noodles which were really flavorful and a nice side for our sandwiches. We got the raspberry oat bar for dessert and that was outrageous too. Staff was amazing, there was a lady at another table that said her food was too spicy so they wrapped it up and gave her another sandwich for free.
