As they say at my university... you can see the end of the mall as soon as you walk inside. They've got a few good stores like Gamestop and Hot Topic. But it's not even a mall. This is an average small town mall. It has the obligatory mall stores like Hot Topic, Gamestop and GNC. It has the usual food court and a mid-sized arcade. There are department stores like Sears and Kohl's. It has the requisite burger and sandwich lunch place. In this case it's Sweet River Bar & Grill. There is a small theater, a Blockbuster, a buffet place and some stores like Michael's and Target in the parking lot. It's pretty much what a reasonable person should expect of a mall in a Central valley town like Merced. read more

It is not what I would call a mall. Maybe more like a strip mall. Not very many stores. The biggest ones are Jcpenny, sears and Khols. For being in Merced it is pretty good though and around the mall is target and a movie theater. I didn't grow up here but as teenager I might enjoy it more. I come to buy jewelry at Devons. Jcpenny has remodeled and they look great and have a great salon. So if you are from a big city don't expect what you think a mall should be. You will be disappointed. But for the area it is clean and a place to shop. read more

Had told my wife that I wanted a Nixon watch for our 10 year anniversary. So her not knowing exactly which one I wanted went down to Tillys and bought me a watch thinking that I would be able to return it to either get a refund or an exchange. Tillys policy is all sales are final on watches that wasn't conveyed to my wife before purchase. They did however say that they would give store credit or exchange it for a watch they had in stock. They didn't carry the model I wanted. Now I am stuck with a $200 watch I don't even want. Even tried calling corporate and they told me the same thing ALL SALES ARE FINAL SIR. If you buy something from here make sure you really like it cause your going to be stuck with it. Or if your your not sure look at it in store and order from Amazon. They carry everything Tillys does and they do returns. read more

I was here a few times a long long time ago, and remembered there was arcade area which was cool during that time. The mall was small and barely had good stores. I duuno about now tho, our Florin Mall here in Sac was like that too but better. And now, its torned down. Maybe one day i'll come check it out. read more

I suggest going to this mall if you have time to kill and have nothing better to do, or as a last resort. This is one of the worst and strangest malls I've been to. There is a CVS by the front entrance...seriously?? In addition, people push shopping carts inside the mall. The environment inside the mall is very depressing as it is empty. I would definitely prefer the mall in Modesto, or even the Super Target shopping center in Atwater is better & classier than the mall in Merced. read more

I didn't expect much going in given the rest of what I'd already seen of Merced. I found what I needed going in, and it wasn't nearly as dirty as I had imagined it'd be. Sure beats the hell out of the mall in Salinas...! read more

okay its not the best mall but it really isnt that bad. They have what you would need living in Merced but its not the most eye catching or most interesting place to be. They will most likely have what you need but not always what you want. read more

Wow it seems that stores don't last too long here. It's really small mall not many stores. It's not worth the time going here. It's a sad mall but at least Merced tried. Stores here don't usually carry that much and go out of stock on items very often I can never find anything at the mall. read more

Merced Mall for me is a waste.. I come for 2 things only.. Jordan shoes and to pay my T-Mobile bill if I'm not paying it online.. from time to time I get sucked in by the wife and spend some time browsing and shopping in the lame stores.. I would rather go to fresno or modesto malls or take a long trip to san jose or hilltop mall in Richmond.. its a small town mall you can't really expect too much from it. read more

JCPenney I'm very disappointed of their staff and management. .. they had invited choncha to come out for their grand opening of saphora and cancel on him last minute, but this kid manage to make it anyways. ..and meet and greet his fans... No Jordan releases, no Victoria's Secrets? Thats just strange! There's really nothing great in this mall. I've been here twice and I'm still amazed at how this place is still in business. Merced Mall has always been the "I need something quick" resort for me. As a 20-something female, the stores I hit up first are PacSun, Wet Seal, and JCPenney for my work attire. JCPenney has had an awesome remodeling. Wet Seal is inexpensive and has basic fashionable pieces if you look hard enough. PacSun is cute and flirty. Oh, and New York and Company is another fab fave. Other than that, I wish desperately that they would contract with Forever21 to bring one in. The closest Forever 21 is in Modesto, and then there is Fresno. Even a small Forever 21 is better than none! NEGATIVE: This review is for Bloom ONLY. I was okay with ignorning the trashy decor and (for lack of a better word) ghetto customer service, but after the RUDE customer service, I have changed my mind. The floors are dirty. The changing rooms are trashed and broken. The waiting seats outside of the fitting rooms are so ripped up that they need to be trashed YESTERDAY. Why was the customer service "ghetto"? When I went to try on clothes, I happened to have two Aeropostale bags... they required for me to hand them over while I tried on apparel. For fear that I would steal. I understand Merced is a little iffy, but NO OTHER STORES in Merced Mall do this. You have to question the store and managers for doing this. AND LASTLY, I went to pay at the cash register and handed the lady my items. As she charged them, she mentioned that they were final sale. I am glad she mentioned it, because that is when I changed my mind. I politely told her: "You know what, I'm sorry, but I won't be taking them. Sorry," with a frown on my face. The owner/manager/work/whateverthehellsheis freaked out and gasped and stared at me, furious. I provided another apology and picked up my other shopping bags from the floor. Then, I heard her mutter (in an obvious, loud whisper)... "BITCH." Now I was furious! People are allowed to chang their mind. I responded "I heard that." And I walked away as I heard her talk across the store to her co-worker in a different language (Mandarin, perhaps? Not certain what Asian ethnecity they are). Boy, do I wish they had their own Yelp to review. Never shopping in this store again. Completely, completely RUDE. ** Note: I have never had a rude experience like this at Merced Mall. The manager Antonia at subway was very kind n inviting. it was very busy but she let me know she'd be right with me I watched n listened as she helped all the people in front of me and she was friendly and patient at all times. she def deserves 5 stars it's nice to see such a great manager. read more

When in Merced and in the mood for Asian food I go to Sansei Japanese .It is in the food court of the mall.I love the terriaki chicken it come on rice w/ veggies on the side. When in the mood for chicken and mushrooms and chow mien I go to Panda Express there. love my Asian food . Also the Subway makes great sandwiches . read more

Bloom store has such poor service! When I walked in, the employee and owner did not greet me. There was only 1 last shirt on the manican and I asked the employee if she can take it down for me to try it on. The employee asked the owner if she can take it down for me and the owner asked me in a rude way "are you going to buy it?" I responded "well I have to try it first" owner responded rudely "well I can't take it off" seriously??? I've been to other stores and the employees were willing to take down the shirt or clothing from the manican that I asked to try on even if it's the last one or last size and doesn't expect me to give them my word that I will buy it. No wonder I was the only customer in the store because the owner wanted me to answer them that I was going to buy it. No way I will buy items from such rude owners. read more
