Our children also celebrated many of their own birthday parties at Elite gymnastics as well. Our son was coached by an excellent swim instructor - our son needed to get ready for his scout swimming test. The Elite instructor had earned his Eagle Scout rank and he was the absolute best advisor and coach our son could have ever needed! Our daughter's middle name is probably "Elite" - she started gymnastics at age 4 and now she is a senior in high school. She has been part of the Elite Gymnastics family all of her life. They are a second family to us in every way. I have taught youth for 28 years, and I confidently believe: This fantastic gymn has the best team of efficient and caring mentors our children needed. The coaches expect the children to excel and encourage them effectively. Our children developed strong self-esteem and self trust while attending Elite Gymnastics and Aquatics.

Without getting into all the details, at the end of the first session, out of the blue, without any prior communication my sons instructor loudly, publicly, in front of parents and my beautiful 3 year old son asked we choose a different time slot than hers. Had this been a private conversation it could've ended differently. If there's an issue, address it with me. Privately. Never in front of my 3 year old child. If you want to try to publicly shame me, go for it but I assure you I will never feel anything but love and pride where he is concerned. I emailed Edge and asked for a refund of the money I paid for the next session. I was contacted very quickly and after a lengthy conversation encouraged to come back and give another class a try and if we didn't love it we would receive a full refund. When the class started I asked my kiddo if he wanted to go to gymnastics. He said yes and that he was excited to see his friend. I explained his friend wouldn't be there. He decided he didn't want to go. And quite frankly that is completely fine with me because, while I had a wonderful conversation with the manager, I was still very uncomfortable with him going back despite any promises made of new classes, new teachers, etc. I reached out to Edge again and explained we wouldn't be attending any of the session we had paid for and asked for a refund but didn't receive a response. I reached out a second time but still no response. So here I am writing this review in hopes that parents of kiddos that have a lot of energy think twice about enrolling them with Edge Gymnastics. Unfortunately Edge isn't our village.

The floors were gross in the party room and I included a picture of one of the chairs. This was it at the start of our party. There weren't trash cans in the party room, which was frustrating. We spilled some water and when I used a paper towel to clean it up it was brown. The whole place needs a deep clean! Also, the party time is short. One hour is not enough time. If they need to clean the party rooms before the next party they should allow the kids to go back and play for another 30 min to make it a 2 hour party. This place has potential!

But the rest of it is pretty nice overall. The teacher seems great and has control of the group. The times I've watched my semi-trepidacious daughter here, I've noticed they move at a pace that doesn't allow for a lot of fear which is important. They sort of just get after it and settle in from there, always a good approach. I can't say we'll go here for a long time based on the distance, but we may because my daughter loves it and we're continuing with it despite the distance for us to travel each week.

I understand she has issues with listening, but how it was handled was not right either. I was told she needed to go back to toddler time but when I had her in there, I was told she needed to go to the 3s. I specifically had asked if she would be ok in that class since I was worried about this. If I was told to bring her back in a few minutes that's one thing, but to completely throw her out of the class is another thing. This was her second class. She didn't know there was a skills checklist, as she had started the class w a different instructor.She has not had the same teacher either.This was not fair. This party couldn't have been more stress free for me as a mom. The reservation was seamless and everything was setup for me when we arrived (table cloth, plates, napkins) in the party room. Carly was our party host and she was very nice and controlled the kids well. The kids played in the little gym for about an hour and then moved up to the party room for cake and presents. The kids had an absolute blast! I even had a parent book a party for her own daughter shortly after our party because it was such a great experience.

I have friends whose children have been at Integrity for a long time with competitive coaching and they love it. We took the rec approach and had a miserable experience. After many weeks and months and dollars, my kids still can't do cartwheels. Even after bumping up to non-compete. We started at Integrity in a low-level class that was only 40 minutes long, taught by a high school student. She wasn't particularly good with children and eventually I complained that my girls (9 and 11 then) weren't getting the instruction I hoped for. So we moved up - waaay up, from paying $30/month each to $30/class. Several months later, my girls are once again frustrated that they are "behind." When they can't keep up with their peers, the "coach" will quickly give them a modification (cop-out) to get them out of the way. For instance, instead of doing a roundoff off the end of the beam, they'll be told to just jump off the beam. They will never be able to learn how to do these things if they don't receive instruction. I wanted them to have basic gymnastics skills, but suspect we will have to seek coaching elsewhere.
