Mango matcha was hollow inside but very good flavor
    Lan V.

Bobae has multiple locations to get their delicious variety of goodies. Everything I have tried has been 5/5 from the boba drinks to desserts from mango matcha twist soft serve and their Ube Coconut Basque cheesecake. Very nice pink inspired shop. The only downfall was how the soft serve was hollow on the inside, it would be nice to have the full cup amount. Highly recommend still and will be looking forward to trying more off their menu.

Tried their seasonal Mango sticky rice drink! It had real mango and fresh tasting ingredients. The rice gave it a nice textural difference and the coconut milk was light and creamy. Would recommend trying their seasonal mango drinks! The service was quick and our server was friendly. There is no seating inside but you can take your drink and sit at any of the outdoor picnic areas. My friends tried their other fresh fruit drinks and enjoyed them too.

I ordered the decaf since it was 7pm with milk and boba at 25% sweet. It was perfect! It was light and refreshing! A lot of their drinks seem like they would be heavier but if you like fresh fluffy amazing warm boba with an amazing drink profile, this is your place. Also if you want to save time, there is a QR code at the front which you can scan and place your order without waiting in the line which can get your order before the rest of the line!

Bobaejicha - roasted green tea hojicha milk tea

I have been to Bobae in Woodinville in the past, but this is my first time at the Kirkland location. This store is a cute and small, order and go venue. They don't have seats tables to linger. Considering how expensive Kirkland is, it is perfectly understandable. In the past, I was visually lured by their IG friendly drinks such as the strawberry matcha latte. I hated it. They serve it in a non-shakable cup, and it is impossible to properly stir the thick strawberry jam into the beverage. On this cold February day with no lines, I spent the time to ask questions, and we landed on the Bobaejicha, which is roasted green tea hojicha milk tea. For the hard care tea drinkers, hojicha is often a fav. They did right by the hojicha with the smoky tea, soothed with milk, and a touch of sweetness at 25%. It tasted good at 0% also, but I had her add the sugar after a few sips, so I can try both variants. I realized I prefer a 0% by the second half of the cup. Their house made brown sugar syrup adds a caramel taste when mixed with the smoky hojicha. Both variants are good. It was a fun chat to figure out my drink away from photo influences.

I got a Ube matcha, guava cheesecake donut and a MG Colada w/tapioca. The MG colada was not great, it was $9 with topping and tasted bland. The Ube matcha $8 was delicious, I got 50% sweet and it was still very sweet so next time I'll try 0-25%. The guava cheesecake donut was my favorite! The filling was so creamy, light and fluffy. I like how there was lots of filling with not too much dough. Service was pretty quick and the staff were very helpful with recs since this was our first time.

We used to live in Woodinville and this was one of our go-to boba spots. We stopped by the Kirkland location on our last visit. I got the ube matcha with boba and it was super fancy, there were real chunks of ube. I would have probably wanted the jasmine milk tea instead but was really tempted by this combo. The Jasmine Green Tea was so strong and tasty as well. Definitely a good boba spot to come back to. This spot was so cute, street parking. Staff was super friendly.

I love love love this Boba shop. I go out of my way to visit and grab something when I'm in the area. I got the sapphire moonlight milk tea with Boba and it was so light and refreshing. The staff are so sweet and chatted with me about the ingredients of the drinks when I picked it up. The shop is well decorated but it's more grab & go, It's a great beverage to pick up and then walk along the water.

I wanted boba and found it on Yelp. It has high rating so I went. Cute little spot in Kirkland downtown. There is a line especially on nice, warm, sunny days. I had the honey jasmine lemon tea with boba & jelly and it was perfect. The cashier was very informationally helpful. I was afraid it would be a bit sour like other places, but it was not. I finished in like less than 10 mins.

Cute boba place all pink. Host was so friendly and gave suggestions on what I would like and try it. She made me a latte with black sesame seemed and mango poppers. Second order was Thai jasmine tea with boba. Both were so delicious and mine was a wonderful surprise.

Finally got to try bobae and it lived up to the hype! The service was super friendly and I liked the interior as well. I got their strawberry matcha latte and it was a nice balance! I got it less sweet because the strawberry already makes it pretty sweet. It was about $8 which is sadly the standard for matcha these days. Next time I'll have to try their pink boba

Gorgeous location and one of my favorite go-to boba shops! It's super cool of them to have so many keto options, and the keto nitro Thai is lovely. Whenever I have drinks delivered from here they are made pretty quick compared to most other cafes/boba shops.

Bobae is sooo amazing! Literally one of my absolute favorite boba spots. This location specifically is the best. Staff at this location are always so friendly and kind. They take their time making the drink beautiful and absolutely delicious all while having great conversations with their customers. I appreciate this location has outstanding customer service. To-go only with no seating or restrooms available. Menu is displayed on the front door, the wall, and near the register. I like all the pink and the wall with notes and pics from customers showing Bobae love! My favorite thing to order here is the Red, White, Matcha with boba as it's always so perfect. I am a big matcha lover and this place is real deal. They whisk the matcha in front of you and take their time to make the drinks tasty and pleasing to the eyes and stomach. I love their Ube drinks here as well and have tried the yummy Ube white chocolate chip cookie. The Iron Goddess Oolong tea is so good. Finally tried the Sapphire Moonlight drink with boba and it's one of my new favs! The boba quality is always 10/10 at this location. So tasty and perfect texture. Everything we have tried at Bobae has been a hit. Not only is the service amazing, so are the drinks :) Definitely will recommend and return. This Bobae location is the best!!

Really friendly and helpful staff! I got the 800 folds brown sugar boba with less sweetness and boba. The less sweetness was perfect for me and the ingredients tasted very clean. The shop is small and modern but cute with some outdoor seating. Its located right in downtown Kirkland!

We had seen several…read morepop up in the past, but hadn't seen anything interesting in the past few months, so we dropped in to ask about them. Apparently rather than being prescheduled most of the time, they are held on demand. We asked for an Oolong tasting session and was able to get one penciled in a couple of weeks later. The store itself is appropriately decorated for a modern and trendy tea shop. There's a bit of an overpowering perfume that lingers throughout the store. It's not the best setting for a tea tasting, especially when trying to differentiate tasting notes when the olfactory glands are already completely saturated with perfume. LizzyKate has a decent selection of true tea, nothing super unique or rare, but I think they lean towards the more accessible blends and tisanes in the first place. Oolong Tasting Class ($35/per person) - Tasting sessions are held in the bar area, brewed mostly using gaiwan with carefully measured water temperature and volume. The class provides some educational material including laminated papers describing the tea production process, growing regions, anatomy, etc. More importantly, unlike some other tasting sessions I've attended, they actually provide pencil and paper, along with brewing instructions, to write down cupping and tasting notes. It certainly beats taking notes on my phone as I usually do. For this course, we tasted a white tea and four different oolongs. My personal tasting notes as follows (for future reference for myself): Bai Mu Dan - Mild, mellow, sweet and slightly astringent flavor with notes of honey and hay. Light golden liquid that's very easy to drink. Tie Guan Yin - Caramelized sweetness, vegetal leafy with a tiny earthy element. Darker golden color with more astringency and round lingering taste. The leaves smell smoky and roasted. Baihao - The smell is distinctively roasty and earthy, approaching the fermented smell of puerh. It has a brownish color and tastes smoky and earthy like peat. Formosa Oolong - It tastes of malt and molasses, with a certain oxidized toastiness. The color is more dark brown although it's not very astringent given the color. Osmanthus Oolong - This smells more malty and surprisingly not that flowery in aroma. The mouthfeel is extremely creamy and silky, almost like milk with the balanced taste of barley and hops with only a slight osmanthus flowery taste in the background. I think the base used is Jin Xuan given the milkiness. With the tasting also comes some treats including mini muffins and some tea infused bars from a chocolatier in Singapore, Fossa Chocolate. I think LizzyKate is more geared towards people who don't have much experience with tea and want a place that's extremely welcoming and modern. They have lattes and plenty of herbal and fruity infusions to help beginners ease into the complexities of tea, While this shop isn't for me, more tea shops are always welcome in the area. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends who want to dip their toes into the world of tea. Bathrooms - Single unisex room.

We got to sample five teas and several pieces of chocolate, as well as snacks to clear the palate between teas. We learned about tea and how its harvested, as well as the processing of tea. We also learned about the tea flavor wheel and identified tea tasting notes in the sampled teas. I do wish there was more of a compare and contrast between the teas - it would have been cool to try the same teas but early vs late season, or tea processed similarly but from different regions. If you're new to tea though, the classes are perfect for you!

I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Dogs are not allowed inside, so tie them up or have a buddy watch them while you go inside. Parking is street or under an apartment complex near by. Not sure if you pay or validate inside those apartment retail parking garages because I parked along the side streets. Park Mobile is the app you use to pay for parking.
