I had and enjoyed my first experience at MERIDIAN DAY SPA ,IN COMMERCE tonight! The stress just accumulated on my shoulders, neck and ,back that I could not deal with it anymore so I read some GOOD reviews and I live a couple miles away so I decided to just do it! Called right after work ,CELINA the receptionist fit me in at 8 pm the same night. TOTALLY AMAZING !! RIGHT ? i could never get a same day appointment at other high-end spas. Such Wonderful customer service off the bat! I was given a tour of the spa since I entered and was impressed with all the wonderful amenities and the vibe as soon as you walk in. the first thing you notice is a upside down tree hanging from the ceiling in waiting lounge WOW!!!!!! NEVER SEEN THAT IN MY LIFE!!!!!!) they have everything you could thing off . From retro baths to a theater room, JENNY was honestly more than great she was FABULOUS ! I was really prepared to not like this spa because of the location (it's in a rather aging casino), but a friend told me that she really liked it so I decided to give it a shot. She said it was top-notch and she was right. So do not let the casino deter you, This is a a gorgeous facililty; very clean with well appointed decor and fixtures. The staff was extremely friendly but also knew when to give people privacy and quiet. I had both a 60 min massage and 60 min facial and both were excellent. I'm extremely picky about my massages and the therapist was great. She blended deep tissue with Thai massage and I could not have been happier. I also used the spa facilities (steam room, sauna, whirlpool) and did a milk bath soak, which I wish could have never ended. I really do recommend this place, it's on par with Burke Williams but the prices are much more affordable. This would be a great place to do a girl's day!! I will be back!! read more

Best massage Ive ever had. I found this hidden gem on yelp about two weeks ago and decided to give it a try. I treated my sister to a spa day for her birthday.First let me say the place is absolutely beautiful. Who ever did the interior decorating has a great eye. So on to the services. I purchased two Meridian Bliss packages for us as well as two milk Baths. Let me tell you. I have been to much much more expensive spas and there is no comparison. This place is awesome. My massage therapist was Aa and she gave me the best massage Ive ever had. Those tiny hands are so powerful. After the massage took full use of all the amenities. We did the steam room which was awesome and then the sauna and jacuzzi. Absolutely awesome. I cant sing enough praises about this place. And the prices were SUPER affordable. We finished the day off with a relaxing milk bath which was lovely and so relaxing. We even had wine delivered to us so we could sip wine in the tub. My sister and I both agree that this was an excellent experience and we will definitely be back. read more

Decided to bring my boyfriend for our anniversary. He insisted on having a female and when I made the appointment they stated they only had one female and one male available and at different times. I decided to take the male. When we arrived they told us they had a cancellation and offered to do the massage together, at the same time, in the same room. Since it was our first time getting massaged we accepted the offer. Like a previous reviewer stated, the robes are not plus size friendly. AT ALL! The robe covered only my top half and I needed to put a towel around my waist, that didn't completely cover me either. So, I got my hair tie and tied the ends of the towel together so my bottom half was covered. Not the greatest look but it worked. We were called to the room and asked to disrobe and lay under the sheets while our masseuses waited outside. It was very awkward as I felt completely exposed. My masseuse, Jerry, was completely professional and had the softest male hands I have ever felt. Unfortunately I could not relax enough to fully enjoy my massage. I would start to enjoy the experience, then remember I was fully naked and tense up again. Completely my fault. I'm sure the next time will be a lot different as I know now what to expect and I will be asking for Jerry again as he has already seen me naked and will feel more comfortable. My boyfriend had Araceli and stated it was the best experience of his life. After the massage we were given cups of water and escorted back to the locker rooms. I put on my bathing suit and went into the sauna room. It was so relaxing and I got really sleepy. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep and cook myself to death as there was no one else in the facility with me. I then went into the steam room which was too hot and felt like I could not breathe. I then got into the jacuzzi, which felt amazing. I then tried out the cold pool. Lastly I took a shower. I must have spent about a half hour in that shower. I totally fell in love with the shower head. I had planned to sit on the comfy looking chairs in the tv room and take a little nap but at that point he was already texting me that he was starving and was ready to leave. Overall, it was an awesome experience that I would love to share with my sister or a female friend. I have since gotten him a gift card for Valentine's day. Can't wait to return! read more

While the amenities are nice, my experience here was horrific. I got a mani / pedi and the woman who did my nails was extremely nice and we chatted amiably while she did a French manicure on my fingers and toes. Perhaps I distracted her from her job, because the mani was sloppy and started chipping after a few days. Whatever, I can handle that - I've gotten sloppy manicures before, but the night after I developed what looked like a bruise on my left big toe nail. Turns out it was black fungus, which is so bad that I don't even want to upload a photo. I've never had any kind of infection or fungus from a nail salon and it can only be due to poor sterilization of instruments. It is my nail bed that is infected, not the toe or cuticle. PLEASE for the love of all that is beautiful, do NOT get a mani / pedi here or risk this awful infection. I cannot imagine how many people they must have served and not sterilized the equipment. read more

This is a hidden gem... a diamond in disguise. SOOO SHHHHH don't tell anyone. It is a great spa hidden in the old commerce casino. Who wouldve thought that this casino held such a nice place. I went twice. Once for a massage and the second time for a facial. It was a good birthday treat to myself. The price was pretty good for a place like this. I read that it is their goal to make it economic for anyone. I like that. I had seen some places charge anywhere from 400 to 600. Uhhh I won't pay that unless I was traveling and really had the moola to do that. This place is amazing. Super clean and it is run by friendly staff. They have a movie room, sauna, steam room, dressing room, locker, pool, jacuzzi, massage therapy, facials/skin care, cosmetologists, etc. They have everything you need to pamper yourself or a loved one. I was apprehensive coming to this spa since the City of Commerce didn't look that appealing. However, I was wrong. The inside of the hotel/casino was very nice. The spa was very beautiful and the staff was very professional and helpful. I enjoyed a massage and my mom had a facial. We both love to go to spas, from Glen Ivy to Palm Springs Spa & Casino, but this spa is a nice alternative. We loved our spa treatments, the hot and cold plunge, and sauna. They even order food from the grill for you. I can't wait to return! read more

Went back 3 years after a bad experience at the spa since I was advised a lot had changed. I'm so happy I gave it a second chance as my facial was amazing this time around! I came here for a girls day with one of my best friends. We got there about 15 minutes late and they were still able to accommodate us, thank god. I got a massage by Arceli. I told her I liked soft and the areas to focus on. She was good for the most part but was really hard on certain areas. I almost had to tell her to not go so hard. But I just took the pain because I didn't want to be rude LOL however next time I will probably not get a massage only a facial and their bubble relaxing baths. Over all it's a nice spa and nobody was there when we came in on a Sunday at noon which was a plus. They have really cool rooms, like a relaxing room with comfortable lounge chairs, a movie room and then a big lounge area. The baths are huge and remind me of the old school type of baths which I love. This place for what you pay for is really good 65$ for an hour massage plus all the amenities it has to offer. I booked an appointment and everything went smoothly. Wish I booked it at an earlier time cause my massage was one of the last for the night. I came on a Saturday night everything was so peaceful and clean. The women's locker room was very nice and they had water, razors, lotions and other stuff available. I looked at all the other rooms like the spa and jacuzzi area but like I said I wasn't able to enjoy any of them cause after my massage they were closing up. It's ok I will be back, I never plan on going anywhere else, especially not glen ivy . I recently went to glen ivy in corona for my best friends bday and I was so disappointed by everything their massage (the guy was yawning) and just their service over all... Same thing with the brea location and it's highly over priced . This place is near by my house and the service was great. My massage was the best by far and I was very comfortable and relaxed. My daughter and I came here for our Christmas present to one another. We had the best time ever. This place is Great ,the staff was friendly and very professional. I have been to Burke Williams and although this place was not as swanky it more than made up for it in the staff. I had Ae for my facial and Janet for my massage and body scrub. Janet worked on my shoulders, after she asked if there was a certain area that she needed to concentrate on. Fabulous, she was quie,t the only time I knew she was there is when she asked if the pressure was alright. I was so relaxed. Ae did such a great job on my face! it is so smooth and soft. Wow. I will definitely be back, this is a Great place, so close, good pricing, great staff and you don't feel out of place here,especially if you are not use to getting pampered. Ive been to many day spas and this is by far the best Ive been to. The staff was helpful. When I walked into the spa, the spa was neatly decorative and I felt I was at home. Above the lobby waiting room there is a fascinating looking tree that has glass looking bubbles attached to the branches. Before I had my one hour massage, the men spa "wow" me with how it was set up. The sauna and the jacuzzi was at perfect temperature. The locker room was organized and inside the locker had bathrobe and slippers at my convenient. The massage therapist Diana have the golden hands. I was very pleased with my massage. I felt relaxed and content. The next day, I felt like a new man. I will definitely be a repeated customer. Overall, the spa was the best choice to go relax, take a break from the outside world and enjoy a professional massage by the therapist there. read more
