Went in for knee pain and 12 hours later was in ER with gastrointestinal issue from visit. Left office before being seen because environment was that bad. Unfortunately didn't leave soon enough. It's not a fancy clinic but it's clean and the staff is professional and friendly they never look or act rushed they listen attentively to why you're here to see them. I went in on a Sunday for a deep laceration and skin tear Marinel the physician asstant was very good and made me feel quite comfortable during the stitching and wrapping of my wound. The MA Layna was very observant and helpful. Overall this was by far the best visit to an urgent care facility I've had in my 55yrs of visits. Thank you Doc you are awesome sauce. read more

This is the worst medical facility I have ever gotten medical service. The staff are rude, unprofessional and unqualified to provide medical care. After waiting in my car for over 45 minutes, I went to the facility to see if anyone was going to come to assist me, the young lady at the desk had NO MASK on but insisted I go back to my car and wait since no one was allowed to wait in waiting room due to covid. I then proceeded to wait another 45 minutes in my car before anyone came out to assist me. Do not go to this facility. read more

I have my primary care at Borrego here in town, & when I started there I was extremely impressed. However they got a new phone system something like 3-6 months before COVID hit. Now one has to wait forever before reaching receptionist. And, of course, there are almost no in-person visits. So, when I stepped on a rusty nail that almost went right through my foot I was pleased that a friend told me I could be seen same day at Meridian. Well, not only did they see me, but they saw me before I heard back from Borrego, 'though I began calling Borrego a good 6 hours before driving to Meridian. Once there I was treated with compassion by Michelle, the receptionist/medical assistany, who actually remembered who I am, unlike most of the staff at Borrego, and is a very kind & down to earth lady. I didn't get the name of the doctor who saw me on that initial visit, but he was warm, friendly, and professional. Today I returned for a follow up, and Michelle continued to remember me & my injury, and I was treated by Pasha, who is also down to earth, warm, & compassionate, & treated my wound gently & knowledgeably. These people never answer the phone. The new phone system excuse is played out. I went to get some test results and was told I can go home, dr will call me. Well he hasn't called and apparently their phone lines are seemingly outgoing calls only cause it's near impossible to get through. 3 days and counting, haven't got my results. It was my first time here, and I knew I was pushing it by showing up at 430 when they closed at 5. The downside was an hour and a half wait in a lobby with not enough chairs. The upside was once I was brought back I was done in about 15 minutes. The doctor was quick and efficient told me what I was being prescribed and sent me on my way. At the front I confirmed they were calling or faxing in my prescription at the pharmacy, they said they were on the phone with them now... I called the pharmacy about an hour later and lo and behold, no prescription and nothing was called in. I checked 2 times. I was desperate for the antibiotics as my ears are about to burst, so I called the Apple Valley location, they confirmed my chart or file wasn't completed so I wouldn't be able to get my prescription filled. By far the worst care I've ever experienced. I was traveling through the Barstow area and my two year old woke up ill. We stopped into urgent care. We arrived at 9 and was told that the Dr would not be there until 10. First of all, why open at 9 then? My toddler had a high fever and was by far the sickest I've seen him. The Dr. came in for about 10 seconds, said "Who's the patient?", did not examine him, and administered Motrin for his fever. Then, we wait. And wait. No communication on what we are waiting for. 40 minutes later, the medical assistant comes in and says the doctor is prescribing an antibiotic. However, no one has laid a hand on my son, listened to his chest, looked in his ears or throat, etc. In the meantime, my two year old is siting in a dirty exam room, delirious. I ask again, "Is the doctor coming back in to examine him?" And we wait, and wait. Ten minutes later, he comes back in and says, your son has an upper respiratory infection and we need to get his fever down. But here's the thing: He didn't look at my son! We walks out and lets the door slam behind him. Stunned, I packed up my very sick child and left. I didn't want this guy near my kid after the lack of compassion that I saw. His bedside manner was terrible, and his communication was non-existent. He seemed VERY put off by my questioning him (Was it because I'm female? It certainly seemed that way...) I returned home and saw my normal pediatrician. Turns out my son had a double ear infection and if the Dr had bothered to look for 2 seconds, he would have seen that and prescribed the appropriate medicine. Bottom Line: Don't go here. Please. Go somewhere else. I wasted sooo much time (and a $35 dollar copay) and ended up feeling worse and did not get the care my child needed. Also, there are a couple complaints registered with CA medical board that mirror this sentiment, and also one about them overcharging and pocketing Co-Pays. Just mentioning... On a positive note, the medical assistant was great, and the front desk person was very nice as well. read more

2 hour wait and horrible doctor who didn't ask questions or listen. If you're able to go anywhere else, I would advise doing so. I brought my one year old daughter in because she has had a productive cough for over 2 weeks that keeps her from sleeping at night. She also has thick green/yellow snot and has been pulling her left ear constantly. I also noticed signs of pink eye a few days ago but it cleared up after I gave her the last dose of her medication from the first time she had pink eye. I'm pretty sure the doctor forgot we were in a waiting room because we waited in the room for over an hour when i reminded the front desk we were waiting. He came in and said he'd prescribe pink eye drops without ever looking at her eyes. He put a stethoscope to her back for literally one second and said that they don't make cough medicine for babies. He said they had gotten a 100% oxygen reading on the finger tip monitor when we checked in so her cough wasn't an issue. He was about to walk out when I asked him to look at her ears and he did, said they were fine and hurried out. I had to have the front desk staff get him because I hadn't discussed her green mucus yet. We waited another 10 mins for him to come back and he didn't even look in her nose. He insisted it was just a cold and that a hot shower would make her feel better. Her cough has progressively gotten worse over the past 2 weeks and she can't sleep because of it. Her symptoms are almost identical to when she had an upper respiratory infection a few months ago but the doctor really didn't examine her or ask me any questions. We've tried a hot shower and humidifier to no avail. I will be following up with our primary care tomorrow. Big waste of time and money. read more

I just went to Urgent Care and the staff was very kind. Last time, there was a different doctor, but both doctors I've seen recently have listened and seemed to genuinely care. I'm not sure who works when, but there are two people I've seen there regularly: the lady at the front window, and the man who takes blood pressure and weight. Those two are always pleasant. The building could use some work, and sometimes there are other people working who aren't as friendly, but overall I feel like the staff does a good job and the facility is clean. read more

I'm a Soldier but with multi-week long waits to see a PA or doctor I've resorted to paying out of pocket to be seen. Meridian has a rough looking exterior and bare interior but I have always been happy with service and have never waited more than 1.5 hours. $80 is well worth the money to be seen same day. Forget the beauracratic, slow, and sometimes poor care, Army heath care system. Wish I'd decided to start paying out of pocket when I first arrived at the infamous Ft Irwin. read more

Took our daughter here because we couldn't get her into her PCP for week. She's had a cough, congestion, mucus and 103 temp. First the urgent care over charges you for your copay and then you sit in an empty room forever waiting to be called. The dr does not do a thorough exam he only checked her ears and automatically assumes she has an ear infection. Does not state which ear is infected and sends us out the door in less than 5 mins with a script for ear drops. Once I got my daughter into her Dr, it Turns out she does not have an ear infection at all and the urgent care Dr gave us a $52 Rx for freakin Swimmers Ear! Do not go here unless you want to waste your money and time. They will miss diagnose and cost you in unnecessary prescriptions. Save your sanity and go to Hesperia for proper Urgent Care services. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a sham. Had a little accident with my 9 week old puppy and he nipped my lip pretty bad. After taking payment and waiting over an hour I go back to the room and the "dr" came in with no uniform on and asked me a few question about what happened whI answered them she turned around and just looked at me. I asked her is she was going to look at my lip to so see if it needed stitches and she said they don't do stitches and then I got upset and she told me "it wasn't her fault I was in there" so I got really pissed and started cussing and she walked out. I walked out and told my husband who was waiting in the car and he went in and she changed her tune. She was nice as pie to him. I'm going to be reporting them to the medical board. read more

We were camping at Calico ghost town when my husband cut his finger on a piece of sharp metal deep enough that it needed a couple of sutures. This urgent care was 8 miles away and I called them to make sure that they would accept Medicare and that they were open which they assured me that they would and were indeed open. When we arrived I noticed that all the chairs in the waiting room were absolutely filthy. Then we were told that the provider on duty chooses not to do sutures. The lady up front was nice and helpful. I have been here over an two and a half hours though and have not been seen by anyone no vitals or nothing. Now I'm being told that the doctor will call me in and take my vitals before he goes to lunch it's now 2:40 and he's taking his lunch. Hmm OK. I'm now about to attempt to get my copay back and leave because I know that this is going to be a all day thing which leads me to believe that the guy who wrote they see you in a half hour is probably an employee or friend of one and that his review was completely misleading. It's odd that there taking so long because I only counted 5 people in front of me and one lady was complaining because she was just here for her prescription and she's been waiting two hours. Would have gave 5 stars but I see what the other reviews are saying about the dr.s themselves. When I walked in I was greeted and helped right away. The women at the desk as well as a male were all very friendly. Made small talk etc. I was taken to the back pretty fast and that woman was also very very kind. Problem wasn't until I got in the actual room. Took a good 35-40 mins before the dr came in. She said hi asked a question and thats about it. She then asked me to say ahh (was there for sore throat and no voice). She stood about 2 feet back and looked with the light maybe 1.2 seconds and said ok. Told me what prescriptions I was going to get but not why. I asked did she even see anything because I can feel a tickle in my throat that makes me cough and it hurts? I was told no and even if it was turning into strep the antibiotics I was getting would work. Long story short the staff is great the higher paid DOCTORs could do a bit more to show they even qualify to be labeled a dr. I was told go to my pharmacy in an hr for my prescriptions I could go. No discharge papers or anything. read more

I am here in Barstow, CA working, I have a badly injured shoulder, when I went to this so called health care facility I was greeted very nicely and the staff was very welcoming and treated me like they cared, that was until the so-called doctor (who had a very severe case of I'm a god complex) came into see me, I could hear him treating another patient and was extremely rude and insensitive to that patients care, then he barged in to the room I was placed in and said so you have an injured shoulder, what would you like me to about it, after being with out words he said just take some anti inflamitories you will be fine and barged out of the room, so I ended up having to seek medical care at the hospital and come to find out I truly have a badly injured shoulder in which I have to have surgery on, I'm actually following the process to which I'm reporting him to the medical bored, and after some of my own investigating he has been reported multiple times, never go to this place, this particular doctor only treats you as a drug seeker and had absolutely no compassion as a doctor is suppose to have, if I could give him a negative star rating it still wouldn't be enough read more
