Last year we didn't take the chance to visit the place voted best pizza by locals however, glad we did this time. It is adjacent to a liquor store just off Harbor Blvd. and there is private parking. It was a warm sunny Sunday, it was busy on the inside and we managed to get that last table that was open. It is very small on the inside with very few tables and booths. It does have that cozy local pizza place kinda feeling. Our server was pretty busy beings she was the only one in there so, we managed to take our time to browse the menu. When she was able to get to us another server came in and the crowd died down a little. We did get the 6 cheese breadsticks, my friend got a supreme pizza and I got a pepperoni pizza. We loved the 6 cheese breadsticks and the pizza was actually very good. My friend said the pizza was ok and I actually loved mine. As a pizza lover this is one of the best local pizza places in Destin. The dough was cooked just right. The sauce was perfect and portioned well, the cheese and pepp was mouthwatering. If I lived here, I'd go broke and fat going to Merlin's lol. This is definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in Destin. read more

We have been a loyal customer of Merlin's for ten years. We go there at least two times a month. We always highly recommend their pizza. Until Now!! They have totally changed their menu and great service. We typically order a 14" hand tossed pizza half veggie and half sausage and pepperoni. We split it. That is not allowed. No more 1/2 and 1/2 pizza. Then they now start out with a Cheeze pizza and add an additional charge. That's no problem. Most stores are doing that. They charge more for each size increase. My wife ordered the ten inch veggie. She wanted to eliminate the spinach and replace it with another topping. The waiter told her that would be an additional charge. Seriously!! We ask to talk to the manager since that made no sense. Fifteen minutes later she came by and said he was too busy. Obviously, they are sooo busy. They don't need our business. We live in a condo with 164 other families. Word will spread. What a shame. New management doesn't care about their customers. There are other options in Destin. Thank God!! read more

The food was pretty good. We had pizza and cheese breadsticks. However the reason for one star was they didn't give me my debit card back, and when I realized this and went back, someone in the kitchen had my card (my server went to the kitchen and retrieved it from a worker there). I had to cancel my card and use a credit card the rest of vacation. Possibly an innocent mistake, but I couldn't take that chance. read more

Had so many great reviews about this pizza place me and wife decided to try it out first of all it wasn't busy upon arrival read sign that said right side go to both which no one was there stood around waiting for a worker which some guy shows up acts like he hates his life attitude an just points at a both then walks away after watching another waiter wait on a couple that arrived after us. he finally acknowledged us just sitting there his attitude wasn't any better gave us a menu then disappeared service was very bad will never go back read more
