We settled on the Calzone Genovese, even though this was a calzone there was no problem making it into a pizza. The wood fire pizza oven was in the center of the restaurant, so we were able to watch them make our pizza. It had ricotta cheese, mushrooms, pesto, and caramelized onions. It was very good and a nice change from a pizza with classic red sauce. The pizza crust had a good amount of char on the bottom with just the right amount of thickness. I would recommend Mimmo's to anyone and will definitely return if I am ever back in Destin.

He greeted us, waited on us and took care of everyone else at the same time. No one was waiting on nothing. He gave us some great recommendations and we started with the garlic rolls. Man, these are some of the best garlic rolls I've ever had. They were hot, buttery and so light all at the same time. We then ordered the Gorgonzola pizza. It came with grilled chicken and onions with no sauce. We added pesto sauce and wow. The pizza was so delicious and had so much flavor. Krisztian then brought us out the best cheesecake I've ever had period! Everything about this dessert was screaming fresh and homemade.
