A relaxing getaway in the South Boston…read more After a trip to Montreal and NYC, we were seeking a little solitude from our typical trip to Boston. In most cases, we would stay in the heart of the city. This is a great side trip outside of summer, when the rates are great and you don't want to go as far out as Cape Cod. This trip took us from plane to city, from train to boat, from taxi to city and from car to village. In Hull, we were 30 minutes or less from everything we needed to access; Plymouth (the rock), Milton (the grand babes) and the towns of Cohasset and Hingham (for coffee, food, and shopping). The owner of the Beacon Luxury Waterfront Inn greeted us, as we arrived before dark, with easy upfront parking. Into the Atlantic suite, with water views (and although fall, the weather was temperate, not hot, but not too cold yet). We selected this room, as it was on the corner with water views. The suite itself was huge with a private bath, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and I must admit they were both used nightly to not only to slow down from all the traveling but also after sightseeing, outings and spending time with family. Each morning a simple continental breakfast is served. This is probably the thing we liked the least, but we knew what to expect. We prefer a bed and breakfast with a full breakfast, but we did enjoy our room and slept comfortably with the amenities available. If anything, not being food focused got us going earlier in the morning for a new adventure. I highly recommend stepping outside the city sometime and exploring the smaller places. This luxury bed & breakfast was absolutely amazing!! The owner greeted us upon our early arrival. She was so adorable, polite, and warm welcoming. She even allowed us to check in 1hr early. Also Heather did an outstanding job with cleaning the suite for check-in ready. I suffer from obsessive control disorders. The way Heather cleaned the suite actually helped me cope with my disorder. The entire suite passed my white glove cleanliness ritual. The smell was so delightful. It was almost like smelling fresh air inside lol. This place was so calming & relaxing. I didn't want my little getaway stay to end. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10.

Literally 2min walk to beach IF that. AND the prices for rooms ESPECIALLY in the summer & location and SUPER affordable! The listed rates are 1,500 a week, monthly and nightly rates are available on request. My family stayed here in the summer of '11 for several weeks to be close to family and it was a fantastic experience. Parking is simple and free behind the Main St. frontage. The units sit over Bia's and an outdoor clothing store. Bia's is wel known and loved for lunch and dinner and should be on your list for local dining. The units are clean and very well appointed, across the street is a local quick mart for your eggs, milk and butter. (I can't recall if the WiFi was strong, but cell service has improved in Cohasset (Verizon) so that shouldn't be a major issue anymore.) If you're going to a wedding at the Red Lion Inn, you can easily walk from this location to the Red Lion. It's also really close to most of the churches in the Cohasset village, so very convenient for weddings!

First and foremost, there was an issue with my Expedia booking and the front desk agent was super nice and patient as we squared it away. He even walked us to our room! The place has been updated and cute but a few small details just need some work. Like the curtains are too short and leave big gaps. Being on the 3rd floor not usually a problem but the balconies are all connected. The shower had pieces peeling off. The edge of the parking lot is a heap of broken fence falling in and a mess. I can share its clean. It was good for one night and the surrounding town is quaint. True score: 3.5

Little place of paradise!…read more Last week I had the privilege of being the guest of Wellesley Bed& Breakfast and meet the lovely Ms. Margot. The inn is a small place of paradise situated in the heart of Wellesley. The location is prefect not only from a practical point of view: lots of restaurants, shops, 1 min walking distance from the commuter train to Boston, but also for aesthetics reasons. If you want a place that is quiet, surrounded by beautiful scenery, that's the place to go, especially given the fact that the prices are very small and the quality of the place is far superior then the price charged. I stayed in the Royalty Room, which was perfectly and tastefully decorated with all the extras you may think you need; fully deserving of its name. And the breakfast ...you have to try that waffle.....talking about melting in your mouth, out of this world waffle! I have to mention Ms. Margot as well. Given that was my first visit to US I didn't know what to expect, but I met Ms. Margot. She is truly amazing. I felt that I was visiting a dear friend, even if we never met before. You have to go to the front office and remind them that you just paid for your room 5 minutes ago and would actually like the heating to be ON in the winter. Also the bathroom door AND window are busted, so there's no vent for the steam from the shower- good luck breathing for more than 2 minutes at a time. The TV bricked itself when we tried to adjust the angle because it counted as "touching the sensor" (which bricks their TVs for some reason, according to the sign?), and we were harassed in our car by someone who tried to claim you were only "allowed" to park in front of your room. They did not work for the hotel, but decided that since they'd been there longer and "everyone knows them", they could do that. I highly doubt anything would come of trying to report their harassment based on every other aspect of this place, since someone tried to force their way into the room without identifying themself, and it took three "who are you, what do you want, stop it"'s before they said "oh I'm from the front desk". A totally normal and healthy thing to experience when you're half naked. Totally fine. Wouldn't have even left this review if that didn't happen, by the way, because it's not their fault they can't afford to fix a lot of the stuff here or if their customers are gonna be rude. But it's absolutely on them if their staff is going to try and harass people in their rooms without identifying themselves instead of just, idk, saying what they want before trying to open a door they can hear someone on the other side of?

On the upside, the room was super clean. If you're looking for a quick one night stay, to literally just sleep there after a concert at Gillette or Xfinity, it's okay. Anything else, I'd say no.

I am a traveling healthcare professional and my wife works from home and we do not expect a five star accommodation, but we expect a sense of safety and rest; which is important to us as we move around to different areas for work. I have lived in a few apartments in my life and this by far was the worst experience I have had in my life. Do not trust the pictures on the website, as they are false advertising. Carpets are stained and there is visible water damage throughout. We lived in two different apartments in this building, so it is not a one off. We had a fridge that kept losing power over an eight month period, multiple electrician visits, told we should just flip the circuit ourselves and we lost tons of food because it would go bad if we left for work/vacation. I had to have the building refund me $150 one time because of all the food we lost over a weekend. We had noisy neighbors above us with dogs barking, the tenant yelling in the middle of the night in and outside the building, and throwing soda cans out of the window. Told management, it didn't stop, and they did nothing about it. We had three different leaks in the ceiling in one month. The owner Ed emailed us that "things happen" and was very disrespectful. One was so bad that it was pouring out of a fixture and the super had to bring in a machine to suck up the water. With the third leak we had to make three different phone calls and wait two hours for someone to come to the apartment. The super wasn't available because he was playing golf and there wasn't a back up super, that we know of; so the owner was forced to come. In person he offered to give us $500 refund as compensation for everything we had been through since we only had one month left on the lease. He then responded to an email, that we had sent twice with no response, and only offered us $100 refund because the rent increased that amount. Never acknowledged the in person $500 refund that he offered twice and tried to gaslight us by claiming everything was fixed in the apartment and that we didn't communicate that we had all these issues. Once we realized that management and the Owner Ed couldn't be trusted, we told them all communication had to be done via email so that we have a record of all conversations. We had to call the department of health so the inspector would call them to do repair work from the three leaks. And the owner Ed never issued us any kind of refund; whether it was the $500 he offered us in person or the $100 he offered via email. We sent a final email and the owner Ed took over two weeks to respond and by then we had moved our stuff out of the apartment, I had left the state for another travel job, and my wife was flying out. I informed all the travel companies that I am affiliated with and they had heard some complaints from previous travel healthcare workers but this was the worst instance. The travel companies will tell future travelers not to stay at this building. And this was not a cheap stay at $2,800-$2,900 a month. Save yourself the stress, the trouble, the money, and people that treat tenants poorly. Avoid this place at all cost

Any time a problem might arise, Stephanie and her crew were at the ready to fix it. The apartments themselves come equipped with everything one might need to be comfortable for an extended stay- bedding, towels, a fully equipped kitchen; appliances from fans, dvds, irons and the like are in your rented apartment...the only thing missing are fresh flowers delivered weekly :) Thank you to Stephanie (and company) for making our stay one that was memorable!

The house is beautiful and sits right on the beach. There is a huge wrap around porch with a hammock available to sit on and stare at the ocean all day. The house itself is beautifully furnished and well-kept. There is a huge sun porch with a television that faces the ocean; a dining room area; living room area; and three full baths. There's plenty of sleeping space and a variety of single beds for lots of kids. There's two bedrooms in the attic; two on the second floor and plenty of space on the first floor. The second floor also has a deck to sit out on facing the ocean. The house is literally on the beach and close walking distance to the main street of Hull. Come to Hull, stay here.
