This place is adorable. Friendly staff at check in & they offer a few amenities like chair rentals, tent rental, bike rentals. They also are kind enough to let you borrow beach towels for the beach for no cost. Just ask for towels to kindly be returned. I rented a king/partial beach view. Very clean & spacious. Shower temp & pressure is fantastic. Bathrobes to borrow for when you get out of the shower. Plenty of clean towels. Lil balcony with a couple chairs set up so you can relax & look at the ocean from the hotel. Designated smoke area with plenty of comfortable chairs to sit. Outside shower. Literally 2min walk to beach IF that. AND the prices for rooms ESPECIALLY in the summer & location and SUPER affordable! I'll be back, and I'll definitely be recommending this to my family & friends. read more

Enthusiastic yes! We loved this hotel so much and Hull/Boston did not disappoint. The beds were super comfortable, which is important to me. The sheets were soft and the shower was awesome. This little hotel has a small corner view of the beach. Most rooms don't face the beach but don't let that deter you from staying here! This little hotel is the perfect place to stay and enjoy the beach and family type environment of this charming little town. The rooms are nice they even have nice little touches like York patty treats by the bed. We also had a bag of cheeze its , and a bag of lays chips. That's the first time I've seen a hotel or even resort have free goodies in your room. There are tables to relax outside which is nice. Each room has a back door with a couple of chairs to relax in. The only bad part was it's not separated from your next door neighbor but no one was outside it was a very quiet hotel. read more

Made a last minute reservation and I cannot get over how cute this place is. Our room is sparkly clean with cute interior decor. It's off Nantasket Ave but it's not too loud with the traffic and it's walkable to the beach. They also rent out bikes if you need them. TBH I wish my stay was longer than it was. While booking I overlooked that there are 2 hotel's with Nantasket in them at this beach. It ended up being a GREAT mix-up. This place gives more of a motel feel but the cleanliness of the rooms, the customer service and the overall experience was top notch. A quick walk across the street to the beach, restaurants and not top far away from a liquor store.... plenty to do in the area. Some can get frustrated with the stairs, the small parking lot or the fact that this place is not technically on the beach. But I had 3 cars in and out while I was there on a holiday weekend and always had a spot to park, the place was a walk across the street to the beach and you can request a room with no stairs. Overall I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back. read more

This hotel was so very nice and clean! Brand new beds (I'm assuming) because they were so nice and so very comfy and I'm use to having new beds at home and I know how old beds at hotels feel. These have to be new! How nice! Also new Ralph Lauren pillows! Wow! I knew some guests checked out of other rooms and then stanly steamer came to do a full clean of the carpets I'm assuming. How nice is that! The front desk staff was nice, you get complementary water and they have Kurigs machines in the rooms! They provide pods but if you have a favorite from back home you can bring your pods! Big flat screen tv in the room, hair dryer, iron and board, microwave, cute night light and a small table and chairs. Oh and a dresser and nightstand. First off, I think it's important to make clear that this is really more like a motel as opposed to a hotel. Also, it's not really "at the beach" as the name implies but rather near the beach. Check in was good and the girl was very friendly, The parking lot is very small and tight and we were in a room at the end of the parking lot so I was a little concerned my car was going to get hit by someone turning onto the busy street from the parking lot. Especially since this seemed like an area for young people who wanted to party. The rooms were fine, though a little older. Breakfast wasn't much of anything to speak of so we didn't bother. We couldn't find anyone when we wanted to check out so we just put the key on the counter and left. read more

If by 'partial ocean view' you mean the back of a brick building I suppose you can charge extra for said 'partial ocean view'. The only view of the ocean you get at this hotel is if you walk out into oncoming traffic in the street. The staff here is both unwelcoming and unprofessional. $35-40 extra for a fraudulent 'ocean view room' attached to the office which is behind a large brick building, $45 fee to bring your pet, $25 fee for 2 o'clock check in, $60 fee for 3 o'clock check out. The doors stick and don't stay shut, no where for pets to use the bathroom, sinks fill up with water, and the keurig smells moldy. A waste of money and time for an attitude from a old woman and a shitty hotel. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

Location is great in Hull, and it's cheaper than the competition. Room 22, where we stayed, was beautifully decorated and clean, and even smelled good. The only problem that came up during our stay was the thickness of the walls, or should I say, the lack thereof. We could hear our neighbors speaking at a casual conversation level through the wall between our rooms. Fortunately we knew them, but I can see this creating a possible awkward moment or two during your torrid summer love affair. Bring earplus, maybe? read more

This is a nice, quiet and secluded motel which is 100 yards or so from the beach. It has some pros and cons which have been mentioned in other reviews too but I'll add my two cents. I was working in Boston and instead of paying very high rates I decided to venture online and found this place. So here goes PROS - It is clean, quiet and spacious. - The price was great compared to Boston hotels - It is near the beach. - There isn't much around so it's peaceful. - They throw in a few bottles of water and snacks. CONS - It is a decent drive to Boston (hour plus). - There isn't much around close including a wide selection of restaurants. (It's limited) - Rooms are clean but not "high end". - no elevators and if it's raining you will get wet before you make it to the car. Overall. This was a pleasant stay and I would come back. Just know that the drive to civilization is 30 to 60 minutes away depending on what your looking for. Enjoy! read more

I don't know anything about this hotel but what I do know is that this business is a rare breed. What happened is this, I pulled into this hotel suddenly realizing that I had booked the wrong place on Priceline. I thought I had the place down the street with a small pool. The kids were very disappointed. When I explain to the very friendly lady at the front desk that I made a terrible mistake and booked the wrong hotel she offer to call the owner, (at home!) (On a holiday weekend!!!!!) and ask if he would be willing refund the charge to our credit card. She said she understood how kids might be bummed about not being able to swim indoors as it was a cold September day. I was amazed she was willing to go this far. Now this was jaw-droppingly over the top. It was my mistake not theirs. I made the charge. I read the cancelation policy. They were 100% in the right to say "tough luck buddy." Anyway long and short of it was they politely and quickly decided to refund my money and I was out of there in ten minutes, even with a printed confirmation of the refund. So if you choose to stay here, rest assured your money is going torward an honest establishment that has a human touch rare these days. read more

I flew my mom with me out to Boston for a weekend getaway for her birthday and didn't want to stay right in the city so I chose this beach resort about 40 minutes away based on its proximity to the beach since I love the ocean. This place did NOT disappoint! Check-in was swift and the staff was super friendly, the room was large yet at the same time was very cozy. We got upgraded to a partial ocean-view room too! It's quaint and it was perfect for what we needed during our stay. We went in October but I definitely plan on coming back in the summer and I would choose to stay here again. Great place. read more

My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights in late September 2015 Here are the pros and cons; Pros: Our second story room was clean and seemed fairly recently renovated. This hotel is quaint and charming They offer free wifi The beds were comfy There were extra towels and wash cloths Our room offered a flat screen TV, a small microwave, a a coffee maker, a small fridge, and even an ironing board and iron. It also had a blow dryer We had a view of the beach from our second story balcony The hotel staff seemed friendly and accommodating There were complimentary snacks and two bottles of water There were also two York peppermint patties by each bed Great location within walking distance to the beach and restaurants Cons There is no elevator to the second story, so if your luggage is heavy, you may want to request a first floor room The wifi was spotty and slow The room wasn't super up to date or fancy but it was decorated nicely with two tone paint and coordinating wall decor and nice bedding Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Nantasket. NOT TRULY PET FRIENDLY AND KEEP YOUR VALUABLES OUT OF THE ROOM WHILE YOU ARE GONE!!!!!! I have a cat, who the owner pre-approved over the phone before check-in. When I checked in, I reminded him I have a cat so there were no surprises, and he got really panicky and said to please keep it in a crate, that one time he had a girl with a cat that had fleas and peed on the carpet and destroyed things. He now apparently hates cats. My cat is -not- a nightmare cat, has flea treatment, has a sweet disposition, is LITTER BOX TRAINED, has an enclosed litter box dome, plays with her toys, etc. I tried explaining all this to him to try and calm him, and he said, "well we had to bomb the entire room and shampoo the carpets" and I said :\ that's unfortunate and I understand your concern, but you really don't have to worry about my cat. And still looking tremendously uneasy he asks if I need more towels for the cat (??) and before I walk out he puts extra trash bags in my hands "for the litter box". I got stressed and was like okaaay, thanks! I'm in a nightmare of a move situation, so I'm away from the room for 5-7 hours during the day trying to resolve things, and I got a call the day after checkin from the owner that went to voicemail. From his tone it sounded like someone died or was mauled or something.. I called him back and asked him what was going on, and the first thing he yells/says is, "YOUR CAT IS LOOSE!!!" and I was like... "out of the room???" and he said, "IN THE ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!" and I was like.. ok??? "It needs to be in the crate. Always in the crate!!!!! In the bathroom too, on the linoleum!!" And I said, "ok, I understand, I won't be back for a few hours, but I'll keep her in there while I'm gone." He continued to complain to me about the one cat that caused all the problems in the past and I asked him, "Look, do you want me to just check out? You're clearly uncomfortable with my cat being here, so say the word and I'll leave." and he said, "No it's fine, just KEEP IT CRATED." Anyway, The next day I put her in her bigger travel crate and she clawed and bit at it, and given I wasn't going to be home for hours, it would be animal abuse to leave her locked in the crate all day with no water and no way to go to the bathroom. So I put all her stuff in the bathroom, draped the curtain over the rod, and left her in there sans crate while I was gone. I didn't get any more complaints and I was like, finally... A few days later, my boyfriend had to return from his west coast tour early (to help with this nightmare housing situation) and we were in the room watching TV and scheduling movers and apartment showings and we hear someone trying to unlock the back door to the room (the inside security latch caught it). Whoever this was then came to the front door which had our DO NOT DISTURB sign on the doorknob, and without knocking or saying anything, just puts a key in and opens the door. Again, the inside security latch catches the door and my boyfriend jumps up like, "HELLO?" and she vanished around the corner. It was VERY weird. I went and complained that it isn't OK to just let yourself into someone's room unannounced with a do not disturb sign, and the guy at the desk lied through his teeth and made up some weird story about how it was probably the cleaning lady from downstairs that has never cleaned the top floor before... (I wasn't aware room-cleaning etiquette differed from floor to floor). That night there was a near-violent domestic dispute blaring through the walls from the room next door. It was over drugs and money and child support and who owes who. We got all our valuables and put them at a friend's place. The woman who tried to let herself was the same woman we ran into the day before who asked us if "the cleaning ladies were in our room" because she's their friend and was looking for them. She looks strung out on something, and we think the entire place has something shady going on that everyone is in on. Plus, all the room keys are draped right behind the desk on the wall, and half the time nobody is even at the desk. AVOID this place. A friend of ours who grew up in Hull says it has a nasty heroin problem. Who knows who is going through your room while you are gone looking for something to pawn. Upside, mini-fridge, microwave, TV, and sub-par wifi. We were SO ready to get out of there. read more

Older reviews gave a bad rap to this hotel. It is now under new ownership and we had no problems while we were there. Our room had 2 queen size beds. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Despite being on a busy street, the sound proofing kept the room quiet. The new owner obviously cares about his hotel and has transformed it from a rathole to a clean ,safe and comfortable hotel. The hotel is across the street from the beach, which is very nice. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a lively night scene during the warm weather months. read more

I stayed a few nights in the fall at this place. The parking was horrendous! If you drive anything larger than a honda civic, park on the street at night (if possible). The room could use a screen so you can open the windows without bugs getting in. The staff were accommodating and friendly but the room could use a slight upgrade. The wifi was in and out (mostly out) and the room was kind of like the set of miami vice tv show. read more

The staff were kind and the rooms were clean, but there's nothing more to this hotel than that. Am very skeptical as to why this hotel is highly rated... The walls are not sound proof, so you constantly hear the people in the other room talking, in addition to other less pleasant noises. Also, we specifically asked the lady at the front desk to not make our room for the day, but when we came back in the evening, we found that the cleaning person had come in, made our room, and took the cash that wasn't for him/her. There wasn't even a "do not disturb" tag in the room, so we had to ask the front desk lady in person. She seemed to write our room number down, why our room was still cleaned, I don't know. This was a very unpleasant experience. The price was not even cheap considering their quality of service, and the fact that we visited in the Winter. Will definitely be staying somewhere else if I'm going to visit Nantasket again. You might want to consider staying in other hotels if you have kids, because you don't know what kind of sound your kid might overhear. read more

Oh man! We hit the jackpot! We did an impromptu DAY beach trip and wanted to stay the night this hotel is so adorable! The staff was super accommodating. The room was very cute, very clean, and very spacious! And wait for it! We have a ocean view!!! The only room they had leftward as a king size bed and obviously a family of 4 is not going to fit in a king size bed they gave us an air mattress and then I asked for a second one so my kids didn't have to sleep head to toe and without any hesitation the lady at the desk grabbed one for me and she even coherced my 7 yo to help me bring it to the room (which she also offered to bring it up to our room) hospitality is alive and thriving at the Nantasket hotel on the beach! They even set a little snack basket and water in the kitchenette ,and with little kids when you get back from a day at the beach they are always starving!!! So this was the icing on the cake. This place rocks. They recently renovated it, so it's got really nice features and finishes. We had a room with a small kitchenette which was great since we were traveling with a 1 year old and needed to wash bottles and keep food in the fridge. You can tell the owners really thought about being hospitable with their guests... Keurig machines in the room (and in the office), a binder filled with local restaurant food menus, beach chairs and towels that you can sign out... it's fantastic. The only thing is, it's a bit expensive. If you were thinking of doing a week at the beach, it would be cheaper to just rent a house instead. That's what we are doing next year. read more

I've stayed here three times, and each time the service has been extremely friendly, the rooms have been clean, and, as of my most recent stay, they've started providing a good, if minimal, free breakfast. Stayed here for a cousins' reunion, August 2013. The place has improved considerably, and both my room and my sister's room next door were really nice. Clean, comfortable, good A/C, friendly staff and absolutely no problems. As others have said, the walls are thin, but nothing so loud as to be intrusive or preventing sleep. The location was excellent for us (former residents of Atlantic Hill) and I would definitely stay there again. read more

Okay...this might sound crazy, but I'm a cat owner. I've stayed at this place before several times. I arrived on my last visit and the room was just okay. I left and it was BETTER THAN okay because I leave it that way. I tried to make a reservation with our cats and they refused this time. I love dogs, but we were refused because of our cats. I leave huge tips and I don't ask for any cleaning services because of the cats. Frankly, I'm cleaner than the owners of this place. Never again! read more
