    Lobster roll
    Jen H.

Awesome little snack bar that's worth a visit. The lobster roll is one of the best deals going - 30$ for a perfectly grilled brioche bun, plenty of lobster with the perfect amount of mayo and a side of yummy seasoned fries/tots. Their burgers are smashed and also worth a try. There are plenty of benches nearby to enjoy your meal.

    Star's Clam Chowder

A local spot with a simple, pleasant menu: beachside surf n turf. Takeaway window tucked in the corner of Bathing Beach's parking lot. Friendly staff greet you, remember your name, and share their honest favorites. Focus on house-made: burgers, fresh fish, lobster, ice cream cookie sandwiches. The spicy fish wrap delights, each bite with crispy cod, spicy pico mayo and lettuce. Next time: fish n chips. The cod in the wrap foretells this dish will be gold. Eat in your car or find a bench beside the shore, front row for sailboats.

    Very good

Clockwise: lobster kit, filet of fish sandwich, and hot dog

Second visit, but first review and rounding it up to 5 stars. This time, my partner and I got the lobster kit (including clam chowder and Lays chips), filet of fish sandwich, hot dog, and ice cream sandwich (freshly baked chocolate cookie w mint chocolate chip ice cream) - TASTE: 4/5 - the Beach House is better than we expected! The lobster roll and fish sandwich hit the spot, and the ice cream sandwich was a perfect end to the meal. Looking forward to trying out more of the menu on our way home from Nantasket Beach trips TEXTURE: 5/5 - I'm used to thicker chowders w more clam chunks, but this one was still satisfying. The fish was fried crispy, and the hot dog bun and lobster roll bun were nicely buttered and toasted. The ice cream sandwich was awesome: thick frozen ice cream sandwiched between dense, tasty cookies. Would totally get again PRICE: 5/5 - fair prices! SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - satisfied us for lunch SERVICE: 4/5 - walked up at 1:30pm on a Saturday to no line. The employee at the front was helpful w his recommendations, and our food was ready in less than 10min ATMOSPHERE: 3/5 - only a handful of picnic tables out front. Would be nice if they expanded, or opened up that side room for covered/indoor seating TAKEOUT: 4/5 - pleasantly surprised that the clam chowder lid was compostable PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in the Bathing Beach lot

Outside - The Beach House. The restaurant is on the corner of the beautiful town green on the harbor

I was surprised to read such rave reviews, but have started going there. I thought the authors were…read moremisguided. Having been, now, a few times, I think the reviews are a bit understated. it is fresh, fast, kind. The drawback is that they do not have a huge selection, but I suspect that is because what they have is fresh. It also does not appear overpriced. I will go back.

On Christmas Eve, (La Vigilia), many Italian families celebrate the "Feast of the Seven Fishes"…read more The custom is to serve seven different seafood dishes, each one representing one of the seven sacraments. At least that's the version of the story we've always gone by. The usual menu (since I was a tiny tot) has always included: pasta with lobster, baked stuffed shrimp, bacala (salt cod) salad, another bacala dish; this one with a marinara sauce, pan-fried smelts, clams one way or another; often casino-style, calamari, and then whatever else suits us that year to total at least seven dishes. While I didn't appreciate aspects of this meal when I was a kid (read: any bacala dish), it's now probably my favorite holiday feast bar none with any and all bacala included. While I usually get my fish at Rockyneck no matter what time of year, the day or two leading up to Christmas Eve is when we've got to buckle down. The crowd is coming. Rockyneck doesn't steer us wrong. It's actually inside the Hingham Fruit Center, a store I love and which I've reviewed separately. It consists of one large seafood counter within the larger grocery store and is its own business. I'm generally impressed with the freshness, quality and taste of the seafood they carry. The look of the fish is always pristine and I never hesitate over any of their offerings. The staff is attentive, friendly and helpful and will do their best to get you the very best of what you need when you need it. Christmas Eve notwithstanding, this place is a conveniently located little gem.

Great calzone, but very expensive. Quick and easy service. I would recommend this placeread more

Who is responsible for messing with the buffalo chicken calzone?…read more I heard there was a new owner of CPP, but I refused to give credence to the rumors of an altered formula until verifying for myself today, hoping for my reliable pick-me-up after going to change the flowers on my mother's grave. My fears had, to my utter shock and horror, been realized. Look how they've massacred my boy!! Why, with so much evil and confusion in a world spinning ever-faster off its own axis, is there franks sauce in my Crowe Point Buffalo Chicken Calzone?? Et tu, Crowe Point? I thought we lived in a society. Is nothing sacred? Did we fly too close to the sun for too long? Newcomers may be hoodwinked, but make no mistake: The entire greatness of the OG square-cut Buffalo calzone (which, I should clarify, has been the NUMBER ONE ITEM on the menu since before I was born) hinged entirely upon its unconventionally distinguishing features, chief among them being that the chicken cutlet, while minimally *spiced*, is not lathered (or even remotely drizzled) with buffalo sauce! It's supposed to be the anti-Buffalo Buffalo!! The anti-calzone calzone! This...whatever 'this' is--is BLASPHEMY. It's MID. RUN-OF-THE-MILL. This is worse than Plankton taking over the Krusty Krab! BRING BACK THE FORMULA! BOOOOOO!!! HISSSSS!!! SHAME! Truly a tragedy.

Be lucky to call this one good piece of chicken, or three nickel sized pieces and one small strip.
