i have been to Virginia Beach on several occasions on business and enjoy watching exotic dancers. I used to frequent Minx mostly due to one of their dancers and bartenders Lulu. This last time i found out that Lulu no longer worked at Minx and works at Mermaids. I went to see Lulu and she was the same wonderful hostess as always. as a dancer she pays close attention to you and engages you in conversation, as a bartender she pays close attention to you and engages you in conversation as well and makes every person feel like a VIP. i had read some derogatory posts on here that are totally inaccurate. i have never seen her steal or add drinks to any bill as accused. i have given her cash in the past and she always returned to give me my money for the dancers and she would even dance for me. Lulu does her job to the fullest and treats her customers with dignity and respect. Like i said before she makes her customers feel as they are the most important person in the place. as i continue to go to Virginia Beach i will always stop into Mermaids to see Lulu. The girls are all talented. James the security guy is a super wholesome guy, watched him handle issues with a cool calm that other clubs might actually elevate or cause more issues. He's a very approachable person and constantly has eyes on everything that's going on. Don't do shady stuff there because you will find yourself on your way out. Jim the DJ is hilarious and has an awesome knowledge base for various styles of music. And Rich the bartender is always in an upbeat mood and slaying the liquor wells with a quickness. He'll have you a drink in seconds regardless of how busy it is. Enjoy your night be safe and definitely tell a friend. Literally you can head there any night if the week and have a good time. The mozzarella stix are perfect if you just need something to eat. It might look discreet and hidden from the road but Mermaids packs a good time once you get through the doors. read more

i have been dancing at mermaids for almost a year now; absolutely LOVE it here. we are a family here, & we treat customers the same way. the energy here is the best in 757 of any exotic dance club here. i highly recommend coming to mermaids if you want to have a fun, awesome rememberable nite ! dancers are all beautiful and charismatic. we love having a great time and making sure customers are taken care of. drinks are always made to perfection & if not the bartenders will make it perfect for you. you can always feel safe here because the bouncers are amazing and care for every customer/employee. cover charge is usually always $5; unless we have an event going on in which it'd be about $10. we are open 12pm-2am monday-saturday. sunday open at 6pm-2am. happy hour is 6pm-8pm. on thursday every week we have wet tee from 6pm-8pm. so with that all being said MERMAIDS is the place to be in VA Beach/757 !! you won't regret coming here. xoxoxo- molly read more

Where do I even start? I came here on a work trip from Nevada and did not expect to have the time that I did. The minute you walk in the door you might be used to other clubs that have bigger venues yet. I've never seen such an immaculate hole in the wall. The energy when you walk in is just completely upbeat and fun. The management is amazing at tending to customers needs if needed, the bar staff are very patient and friendly. Food service was very fast, but I saved the best for last, the dancers. Each and every single one of them have a completely different aura, and are all beautiful in their own way. There hasn't been a time where I've been in Mermaids and felt out of place by any of their girls. Their outfits are nothing like any of the other girls I've seen in Virginia Beach. Their women are very diverse and versatile. If you're looking for a club to have the best of both worlds at I would 10 out of 10 recommend Mermaids. read more

There are two main reasons why I love this club so so much. Number one is the feeling while in the club...whether ate the VIP or not; it's just warm and it imbues some comfy. This makes one really get loose and dive into that moment of fun; and of course that's what clubbing is about, right? The other thing is the attention that the employees give the customers. Anything to do with an order or commotion is attended to instantly, making the customers very safe and comfortable. Forget about those clubs that tell you about VIP yet there isn't really anything special. My evening at the Mermaids Gentlemen's Club VIP provided me with the real meaning and feeling of VIP. The lightning alone plus the seats are so definitive. Drinks? Haha, order whatever you want and it will be served in a very special way by properly groomed waiters and waitresses. My first visit years ago was a very pleasant surprise. Thursday afternoons at most clubs are so slow I wonder why they even open. But not Mermaids! They had about 6 girls working and a very charming barmaid. I could hardly find a seat. When I told them it was my first visit it was announced and applauded by staff and patrons alike. I immediately felt welcomed and at home and it's been that way ever since. Phil makes a delicious burger among other things so spending your lunch break there has that benefit as well. The club has a fantastic assortment of lovely women who are as charming as they are gorgeous. Try to spend time with them all. I would suggest that you ask for Jasmine. First off the dancers are the best performers I have ever seen and the service is fast! I didn't feel like I didn't know anybody because everyone yelled welcome to Mermaids when I waked in and actually held good conversations with me. I highly suggest looking on their specials board located behind the bar because it is full of different drink specials everyday. After work at 3pm me and the guys from work go there and they are open! I don't know any other Strip Club that opens at noon. This club feels like walking into a family. The way the staff treats the dancers and vice versa and the warm welcoming atmosphere makes this club out to be by far the best strip club in the Hampton roads area. The dancers are kind, talented, and welcoming. The bartenders have just the right amount of snark to keep you on your toes but still laughing. The managers make you feel welcomed and heard. And the bouncers and dj are equal parts comedians and fun but still make the club feel even safer. There is no where else I choose to have a good time. Period. The girls are always sexy and full of positive energy. And I go in the day time normally, between 2-6. Lunch is also too notch. Yes... I said lunch is top notch. If Phil is working ask for the Quesadilla. The man makes it to order, and features his personal mix of spices and even makes his own hot sauce. Best gogo bar in Virginia Beach, hands down. Lively party atmosphere inside. There's hot girls everywhere and hot bartenders. $5 cover charge but definitely worth it. Great little out of the way bar! What can I say? The staff is super friendly and makes sure everyone is taken care of. The food good for bar food, and the prices are reasonable. The drinks are affordable and they have good specials also. The girls are all cute and friendly, plus they don't pressure you. Aura makes my time spent there amazing. She's funny and sweet and tries to make everyone feel welcome and ensures they are having a good time. The entire staff, from the bartenders and doorman to the DJ and Dancers, are there to make sure you are having a safe and fun time!
