Sedona Taphouse was such a nice experience! We went on a Wednesday and started at the bar for Happy Hour. We enjoyed the Thai chicken wings and Brussels sprouts, and let me tell you--the Brussels sprouts were amazing! Of course, we had to enjoy a few drinks during Happy Hour! The STH Mule was really good, and the Orange Crush was definitely worth trying. But you have to try the Cactus Prickly Pear Lemonade--it was absolutely delicious! After Happy Hour, we moved to our reserved table overlooking the lake, which made the evening even more enjoyable. For dinner, I had the stuffed shrimp with spinach and mashed potatoes, while the other entrée was baked chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everything was marvelous and full of flavor! And I have to give a special shoutout to Alex, our waiter. He was attentive, professional, and did not miss a beat the entire evening. Excellent service from start to finish! First of all the food was awesome and service was great. But it was our 30th anniversary and I had requested a window seat by the fire place. They don't really have a fire place, it's just an ambiance wall feature, so since I didn't say the right thing, we were sat in a middle table with people in front of us, blocking our view of the lake. Not the best experience I was hoping for. The staff are young and aren't as customer service intelligent as a more established restaurant. Today, a friend treated me to a belated birthday lunch at Sedona Taphouse, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. From the moment we walked through the door, we were warmly welcomed by the host Maddy, whose beautiful smile and bubbly personality immediately made us feel at home. She graciously seated us at a table with a lovely water view, which made the occasion even more special. Our server, Alfonso, was one of the kindest, most patient, and attentive waiters I've ever had. Since it was my first visit, I had a difficult time deciding what to order because the menu offered such a wonderful variety of options. Alfonso never rushed me and took the time to answer my questions and make thoughtful recommendations, making the decision much easier. Sedona Taphouse is located in the The Traditions at Sherwood Lakes development. It's basically between the Red Mill and Pungo areas in Virginia Beach along Princess Anne Rd. My visit here was on May 16, 2026. Entering the area is pretty easy. You can get in at the traffic light at Locksley Arch. When you turn onto that road, Sedona Taphouse and other businesses are to the right and Shorebreak Pizza Pungo is to the left. Since it was a Saturday, parking was pretty tight in that entire area. Also, some parking spots on that side are reserved specifically for visitors to Shorebreak Pizza instead. We were lucky to find a parking spot, but I know it would be hard to find during peak times. The outside of the business isn't hard to miss. The color scheme makes me think of the desert southwest. The place looks pretty big from the outside, and to the left of the building, there is a curbside pickup area too. Once my mom and I came inside, the place was very busy. That wasn't too surprising considering it was around 4:15 pm on a Saturday. We thought there would be a wait for a table, but that was not the case. We were seated at a table near the bar area, but not necessarily in the bar area. There was some outdoor covered seating too, but we definitely wanted to stay inside. The overall feel inside also made me think of the desert southwest too given the color schemes inside. With it being so busy that day, it actually took a while for our server Chloe to come to the table. I get it with how busy it was. Once she was finally able to get to our table, she greeted herself and asked us what we wanted to drink and if we had any questions about the menu options (food and drink menus). We both did get waters for a drink on this visit. For those that drink soda, they carry Coca Cola products. It would take us a little while to decide on what food items we wanted to get as there were quite a few options to choose from. After having time to look over the menu, we were finally ready to order. I decided to go with the South Rim Shrimp Flatbread Pizza and my mom went with the Santa Fe Shrimp Tacos with Fries. It would take about ten minutes or so for the food to come out, which was pretty good given how busy they were. The food came out hot and looked really good too. The South Rim Shrimp Flatbread Pizza was really good. I thought it would be a bit harder since it was a flatbread, but it was nice and soft and easy to eat. The flavors complemented each other well. The Santa Fe Shrimp Tacos looked really good too, and my mom said she really liked them. I don't normally do fries often, but but I did try a few of them and they were good too. Overall, this was a very good first experience here. They do have a rewards program and you can download their app as well. You get a coupon for 15% off your next purchase when signing up too. Sadly, I never got the chance to use it since some medical issues came up and didn't have the chance to use it before it expired. Hopefully I can get another coupon like that to use on a future visit. Once our server was able to get to our table, service was great and had no issues throughout the visit. A manager came by and asked about our experience too. I like it when I see management engaged with their patrons. If you're looking for something a little different with lots of food options to choose from, this place is worth checking out. read more

We came here after a volunteering event nearby for some brunch, and it was a nice place to eat and decompress. I particularly liked where they sat us, with it having a nice window view of the lake. Wonderful new addition to the Redmill area!! We've been hearing wonderful things about this restaurant so we were eager to check it out. The inside has a nice cozy ambiance. We had a big group table and the staff and servers were very friendly. Since they are still new and working thru the kinks we gave them grace and knew things would take longer, no worries! A great new spot, in a great location! It was very busy this Saturday night, but the staff (especially the hosts & hostesses) were working so hard to accommodate everyone quickly and efficiently. Our dining experience took about an hour and a half, but again, it was very busy. The food here was fantastic! The menu has great options, there is something for everyone. We had a hard time narrowing down what we wanted, but this gives us an excuse to come back soon! The portion sizes are pretty good, and the quality of food is amazing! The crab stuffed shrimp was something I never knew I needed, but possibly one of the best combinations I've had! The vibes in here are warm, relaxed, and trendy. We went to Sedona Taphouse for brunch. Which was the perfect time, because it was before they started to get busy. We were greeted by the friendly staff, and the manager who loves joking about the bar being made from 100 year old wood from a oak tree in his grandfather's yard. Lol. He was very upbeat and I liked that. We got a booth which had a decent amount of space so we didn't feel cramped in there. The restaurant has an ample amount of parking and is located next to Taste, in a shopping center by a pond you overlook for a pretty view. They have indoor and patio seating. The bar is very nice, with beautiful wood decor and very well lit, and the restroom was clean!! The menu is nice because they had the brunch options and the regular menu, along with specials. The prices for brunch were pretty reasonable, there were some pricey items on the regular menu, but I think you can find something to fit everyone's budget. We ordered the shrimp and grits, steak with potatoes and bacon, the steak southwest omelet, the devils pass chicken dip, the bread basket ,fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, and mimosas. My mom was confused by the fact that the bread wasn't complimentary which she's accustomed to, but it wasn't bad. It was $5 for 6 mini ciabatta bread loaves, honey butter and garlic herb dipping oil. I loved the bread with both dips. The garlic and herb one was slightly salty, but still tasty. The shrimp and grits came with country ham and was ok. The presentation was nice, but it felt like a sauce or something would have elevated it. My mom enjoyed her steak and potatoes. My steak omelet was good also, I do wish it were cheesy because it was a bit dry inside. But the presentation was nice!!! I really enjoyed the devils pass dip, I highly recommend it! It was creamy and flavorful with the pita bread. I think that was my favorite dish. The freshly squeezed orange juice was ok, but it was literally 3 sips, so I'd probably pass on that next time. The mimosas must have been good, because they drank 5. Lol. My mom did have to ask for extra champagne because she couldn't taste it at first. Our waitress was very attentive to checking on us, and nice. I did find it weird we weren't offered water when we were seated, we waited 10 minutes before we asked to have some. Sedona Taphouse has a really beautiful rustic industrial vibe. The space feels sleek and polished while still warm and inviting. I especially loved the copper accents and tones throughout the restaurant. The large windows let in plenty of natural light, which made the whole space feel open and relaxed. For drinks, we tried a prickly pear margarita, a mojito, and the white sangria, plus water. All were excellent and appropriately strong. The mojito was made the right way with club soda instead of Sprite or other shortcuts. The white sangria had actual fruit and did not taste like artificial juice at all. The prickly pear margarita was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. Even the water tasted clean and fresh, which oddly matters more than people think. For food, I ordered the Devil's Pass Pasta, which was flavorful with perfectly cooked chicken that even had a little crisp on it. The portion was generous. We also had the Canyon Crab Flatbread, which was loaded with real crab and was really tasty. The clam chowder was also great. It had the perfect consistency, not too thick and not watery. One thing to note is that it does contain bacon, which is not mentioned on the menu. If you do not eat pork, that is something to keep in mind. The service was excellent. It was attentive without being overbearing. Our server gave helpful recommendations and was quick with bringing out both drinks and food. The bathrooms were spotless, and the automatic sinks were actually responsive, which deserves a shoutout because that is not always the case. We arrived around 4:30 pm on a Tuesday and were seated immediately. Happy hour runs from 3 pm to 6:30 pm, which is a great window if you want to stop in after work. I met some friends on a Thursday night for HH. Plenty of parking. I recommend for dinner making reservations and if you are doing HH, get there early. The place definitely filled up quickly!! I ordered $4 HH wine. They also have $6 and $7 cocktails. HH food is $3, $6, $7, $8 and $9. The goat cheese and tomato jam bruschetta is the bomb!!! We also got the Devils Pass Dip and the Gorgonzola Shrimp and Cauliflower. Everything was delicious but the Bruschetta and the Shrimp were my favorites and I highly recommend trying them. I chose the Kobe beef sliders off the happy hour menu. I also chose the crab stuffed mushrooms and their Sedona house salad. The mushrooms were delicious. The Kobe beef sliders were okay. I was a bit disappionted with their salad. Fresh greens, but very little dressing and hardly any tomatoes or onion. I paid extra for feta but had barely 3 squares. My friend liked her food. I would come back again and probably take hubby; just keep in mind not to order their salads again. (The friend I came with did not really enjoy the caesar salad). read more

Staff was very nice and attentive - even at the hostess stand while I waited for my niece. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Xique Xique reminds me of cucumber water in a good way so I'd that isn't your thing skip it! The crab on the flatbread was fresh and didn't have any gritty pieces. I had the Gorgonzola salad - fresh and not overly dressed. The Chuckawalla chicken was delish - juicy and tender. Personally didn't like the sweetness the citrus sauce added to it but again personal preference. The crab stuffed shrimp - AMAZING! I couldn't wait to try this location! I have tried other locations, but herd the view and atmosphere is awesome! When you walk in it's nice calming ambiance with modern decore and the view to match. We didn't get a window seat, but I am just happy there now here in the area! I normally order the ceaser salad, truffle fries and the south rim shrimp flat bread pizza. I only made one adjustment. Instead of the shrimp flat bread I ordered the canyon crab flatbed. Let's start with the "Caesar Salad" I liked they put extra parmesan at my request. But the dressing was not close to ceaser! It was more like a lemon Dijon mustered dressing! I did not enjoy the dressing.. Now the "truffle fries " delicious and tasty as always. And finally the "Canyon crab Flatbread" yes, it's real crab meat! I wouldn't have ordered it if it wasn't. It was good, and the remoulade dipping sauce was fine. Honestly could use some type of light green leafy vegetable. Anyhow.....each location is different. The view is definitely a plus at this location. Walking in is that classic tap bar vibes with fine dining experience seating area was very intimate perfect time to have deep conversations and laugh all night long. I tried there blueberry + pomegranate martini it was smooth sweet with the right amount and well balanced and I also tried there Xique-Xique this was a game changer it was a refreshing and had cucumber notes to it this one is my favorite drink and will be my go to next visit. The food was amazing and well made and rich with flavors. I tried there shrimp stuffed with crab and spinach with mashed potato. The spinach I would say were well to prepare they just melt in your mouth and the mashed potato were nice and creamy and the shrimp with the stuffed crab was full of rich flavors and well perfect balance meal and we left no crumbs that's how good it was. We visited this place in DC last year and we love it and we are glad that it is no close to home perfect date night and spot to chill and have some good food and drinks read more

Came for the preview dining. We had a reservation for dinner and while it was super packed we were seated quickly. Our server was very sweet. We were seated in the area that opens up overlooking the lake. Luckily the weather was nice so the windows were open. The menu had plenty of great options. My husband and I tried their strawberry basil refresher and the cactus lemonade. Both were great, I really loved the cactus lemonade. We got the wings for an appetizer. I had wanted the southwest roasted wings but we were served the Thai wings. When the manager came asking how things were going, we told them things were good. He asked us to be completely honest. So I did mention we got the wrong wings but the Thai wings were really good. He said he'd put in an order of the roasted wings for us. For entrees I got the crab stuffed shrimp with loaded mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I love brussel sprouts so if they're on the menu, I'm getting them!! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the crab stuffing had real crab meat not just a bunch of bread fillers. The brussel sprouts were good too! My husband got the cowboy butter steak with fries and asparagus. He really enjoyed his steak and the butter that came with it. I liked his fries because I'm team shoestring fries!! We were here on their second night open. Had a really great time. All the staff seemed to be doing really well for everyone being pretty much brand new. Grace was very friendly and helpful in getting us a table. Vanessa took good care of us and was very helpful in helping us decide what to order. They have a lot to choose from. Not that I'd want to take away from the other dishes we had but we love stuffed mushrooms. We get them from everywhere we go that has them in the menu and I have to say these were some of the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. My wife got the salmon and I got the filet. The choices of butters and topping were good. Another highlight was that bacon suckatash. Never had anything like that and it was great. Ended it all with the cheesecake. Everything was great.
