They cut me up. I asked for wax and she waxed then threaded. Threading is always painful and I was hoping to avoid that, but she just started going. After the service, I did feel some stinging but thought that to be normal. Stinging after a wax isn't out of the ordinary. A day later I noticed the scars on my skin. I got the service on Sunday and I'm writing this on Tuesday. Some of the scarring has gone away but I shouldn't have been cut up in the first place. I'm never returning.

They offer chocolate wax as opposed to hard wax and have one suite. I asked if they double dip and I was told if I call ahead they can change the wax for me. (It is a small wax pot). She did not double dip the sticks when applying was to my underarms she also had what it looks like roll on wax applicators which isn't the most hygienic. Wax was not painful as I anticipated since chocolate is still a strip wax (use of cloth and softer wax) and all hair was removed quickly and efficiently. Skin was not lifted. Will inspect underarm when I get home. Went back day after and did brows. Came out really really well! Will be back!

As such, I knew there would be some challenges with the height of the table etc. When I arrived, the receptionist greeted me warmly and gave me updates as the aesthetician I was seeing (Koko) was running a tad late with her previous appointment . Koko was very warm. She tried to work with my needs even though the details I put in online didn't show up for them. She explained the room was cold but she'd get me in and out and that's exactly what she did. Because of my temporary disability and my inability to turn on my back, lift my legs etc...a Brazilian wasn't possible so we did a full bikini. The wax/ removal was painful because my routine was off laying in a hospital/ rehab for 3 months.There are packages available at economical prices so that you can get into a great hair removal routine and products you can buy to target specific areas to support you in that. Overall, I'm really happy that this service is in Jamaica and that the workers are so incredibly professional and conduct business the way they do- communicating well about the service and handling customers with care and empathy. Smdh Twice I had to tell her to stop because she drew blood and the next time she nicked my finger so hard I thought I lost skin. Clearly, I should have honored my instinct and ask for someone else to take over but I didn't want to create a fuss. She rushed through the gel process and the final product looks exactly how it felt: aggressive, forced and painful. I'm so frustrated because it was much a simple ask. I always come in with inspo and consider the tech skill level to ensure I'm not asking for something out of their scope. I'm thinking this was just not the person to work with. As such, I'm thinking of giving the salon another shot, with Jeanie or someone else to determine what happens moving forward.
