Well, it seems the reports of this auto shop's epic reputation were NOT greatly exaggerated! You are looking at one very satisfied local Yankee. Not to mention eternally relieved to have finally completed a state inspection. What would otherwise be classified as an innocuous, yet necessary tradition, you would be surprised how difficult it is to find a place to get a proper state inspection done IF you're new to the area and not quite sure where to go. Worse yet....if you happen to have tint on your front windows like I did, you'd be hard pressed to find a place that will even perform said inspection, as it apparently violates NH state law. Anyway, this place is fast, efficient, and the staff are very accommodating. They even have a spiffy little waiting area with coffee and everything. Also, they accept Apple Pay. Which....I didn't realize until AFTER I already paid them with my card. See, they have one of those scanners that displays the option as the total is presented. I told the lady at the front desk they should probably post a sticky on the front door mentioning as much. This is such a convenient spot for me to get my state inspection and whatever else done because it's so close to where I live. And affordable? You bet your ass they are! Was looking for a place we could develop a relationship with for servicing our car, after our old service center was sold. Took our Ford Edge in for an oil change just before we left on a trip. They were able to squeeze us in. Good start. When they called after the oil was changed, they said that they had noticed a couple of other small, but important problems -- which they fixed, just because. Merrimack Auto Center is THE PLACE to go for your cars needs. This place is great and the staff are not only extremely welcoming and friendly, but the service is top notch. If that wasn't enough, they walk you through everything before making you pay. As I was sitting drinking a nice fresh (and free) cup of coffee in their waiting area, I saw one of their awesome staff go through some financial information with a guy who basically had a broken car (literally everything was broken) and explained to him that while they could fix everything for him if need-be, it would just be more affordable for them to get a new car. I recently moved to New Hampshire from California and I was just getting to know the area when a couple of months into my move, I cought a flat tire. I called Merrimack Auto Center for a price quote for 2 new tires (after reaching out to 2 other shops in the area) and they were able to give me the best price AND when I asked if it were possible to get them done the same day, Brooke's assistant clerk (I didn't catch her name) placed me on a quick hold, and returned with "yes, we can do it! I went to get my state inspection test last minute and they were able to squeeze me in. They were amazing, so friendly and explained things to me. I honestly have never been treated so nicely at a mechanic. I came from the DMV and didn't install my new plates yet but they just did that for me and put my registration in a nice plastic pouch. Chad is a true mechanic! You don't find quotes and honesty about car repairs like this shop! Chad takes pride in his family business. His daughter helps run the Merrimack location and she's a sweetheart and knowledgeable. In addition, he hires professional and courteous people, to help run his business . A few years ago my air conditioner compressor went in my Rogue, I took the car to the auto dealer who quoted me a ridiculous amount of money for a one year warranty. Chad gave me a price that was hundreds less, with a three year warranty. He's told he when I truly needed brakes, not like the dealerships lying and trying to rip a woman off. By far the cleanest and friendliest auto repair center I've ever been to. Chad and his team were courteous, welcoming, and warm. From receptionist to mechanics, they all ensured that I was comfortable while I waited for my car. My daughter is in Merrimack for the summer. We are from Nebraska. She recently had a tire that went flat and needed a new set of tires for the car. I found Steve Tamblingson from my BNI Connect Global. I called, spoke with both Steve and Chad several times over two days. Talking with them it was just like the superior customer service I receive in person in Lincoln, NE with "my guys" here! They were awesome in their customer service and in their willingness to go above the normal service standards most auto centers provide.
