I made an appointment for 10am for an oil change and tire rotation. In the middle of this service I was told I need an alignment and was asked if this is something I would like to do today. I told the employee I would like to have my boyfriend check and I will bring it back if needed. He rudely asked "Why do you need to do that? Is your boyfriend a mechanic or something?". I said yes he is actually. And he responded "well there's no way he can check, we have a specific machine that does it and I don't know how he can check for you". At this point he made me feel so stupid and I panicked and agreed to the alignment. I understand that my knowledge on cars is very minimal, but being rude and making a customer feel dumb for wanting to check with her significant other before going through with something is no way to treat a person. read more

I've been a Sullivan Tire customer for over 30 years, since when I first started driving. For the majority of time their Nashua location was really good to deal with - professional, courteous and timely with work. Unfortunately those days appear to be gone. Over the last couple of years I've had consistently had issues with even the most basic service taking WAY too long - think 2-3 hours for an oil change that should take 1 hour - on top of a number of their service advisors being flippant and short when you ask basic questions, or more so when you call to ask status on where work stands. The final straw for me with them came today, where I dropped my car off at 8:30am for an appointment booked two days prior for a check on some noise in the front end of my car, likely indicating a power steering pump issue. Called to check at 12:30pm and they still hadn't even looked at it yet, nor could they tell me when it would be looked at, let alone be completed...which is wholly unacceptable to me. There's no reason that it shouldn't have already been looked at, with a timetable for completion by day's end. Suffice to say I'm going to be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. read more

I have been buyers my tires for years from a local family owned business and was perfectly happy with them but my moving caused me to consider Sullivan tire. I went to the store in Nashua and wanted a specific Michelin tire that was already on the car. The salesperson told me that they had limited inventory and these tires were on back order with a 6 month wait time (which was total bullshit) and he tried to sell me a different tire which I refused. I then tried a different Sullivan tire and was told that yes they had these tires and when I wanted to schedule me they told me that it was a 2 hour wait to change 2 tires- for the first appointment in the morning- and when I questioned them on the amount of time they were pretty arrogant and I cancelled the appointment. I am going back to the small family owned biz who actually want to sell me what I want rather than buy a tire Sullivan wants to push (and probably make more money on). I would think long and hard about doing business with these guys read more

I set up an appointment for 9 am and didn't get a call till 5 pm to let me know the truck was finished. So much for setting up an appointment ! Also the truck was shaking after they balanced my new tires which again needed be fixed with making another appointment....guess what? It still shakes . Had to take it to the dealer to check there work. They didn't map the sensors the tires and one valve was bad that they put on. I was also quoted a price that they changed. Yes Tiffany, the manager called and verbatim word for word stated exactly what you said. Well because of the seriousness of your "state inspectors" a perfectly good and safe windshield is off to a landfill. It's surprising how a small chip that's not in the drivers view can do that. The other issue was a little condensation in the backup light. Another perfectly good and safe item set to be thrown away in a landfill. But because one day it might stop working it's junk. Probably many many years in the future. The suggestion for the fix is to go on Amazon and replace the light housing was a cheep Chinese knock off. I can with almost 100% certainty predict that the Chinese knock off will fail before the original oem one will. I guess your suggestion would be to throw it away than go on Amazon and buy buy buy. How much safer will I be without a small chip in the windshield and a knock off garage tail light? I would say probably a little less safe. But you don't care about that or the throwaway mentality that you're promoting. Thanks for looking out for your state inspectors, racking up repair costs & trashing our planet. read more

I waited 30 days for my paid for tires to come in after being told 10 days. I arrived for my appointment on time and waited 2 and 1/2 hours to have tires mounted. Then I was charged for an unauthorized alignment. Not satisfied at all. will not return. read more

I was very impressed with their genuine work ethic. I called wanting an oil change and state inspection for the following day. They were booked solid for days. However made a quick inquiry and said if I came now I could drop off my car and it would be ready in three hours. I agreed knowing I would have to sit there for 3 hours. Thirty minutes later they called my name and said it done I walked up to the counter and said wow. The sales associate said they all work well together as a team. I will be needing new tires in the future and because of my experience I will purchase them there. I might add they had two very clean wait areas. One inside and the other outside. read more

Explain how a truck that was in for an inspection, and needed brakes, was failed for front and rear brakes, rack and pinion steering, serpentine belt, hood lever, door locks, small (repaired) windshield ding on passenger side, headlamp fog, and exhaust system.... Estimated nearly $5k to pass inspection. They charged $45 to fail it. I brought it to a local mom and pop repair shop. The truck needed only front brakes. Passed inspection. $1100. Shame on them. The same Sullivan store told us our Audi roadster needed a $6k rear differential a couple years ago. Brought it to a mom and pop shop - it only needed a $250 wheel bearing. They were quick to call me to schedule the tire appointment immediately after going online. I scheduled this appointment 3 weeks out and they assured me the specific tire I requested would be there for my scheduled appointment. I made special arrangements for this appointment. Upon arrival we reviewed the specific tires I ordered and they assured me they would confirm the tires were available. About 15 minutes later and after my wheels were removed and tires and weights taken off, they informed me that they didn't have my tires in stock! (Sketchy) As it was inconvenient for me to reschedule, I ended up going with a similar tire but different than what I requested. Also, when I got home, I decided to check the torque on the wheel nuts to manufacturers specs. Some lugs were clearly much tighter than some others. I won't be going back. read more

So I ended up here because they had the specific tires I was looking for at a price that was even lower than Tire Rack was advertising. I made an appointment they installed the tires. The tires are perfect, but they lost the center cap on one of my wheels. They ordered a replacement for it, but it was the wrong one. I am very disappointed in this branch of Sullivan Tire. I recently went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation and they tried to turn it into a completely unnecessary $550+ replacement of my front breaks assembly. First, when I arrived they said to fit me in would be about an hour wait so instead of waiting I asked to just come back in an hour. When I returned 55 minutes later, the man at the desk flippantly said, "well you missed the window so it will be awhile to get you in." No apology, no explanation, it was apparently just my fault. I waited for at least another hour before I saw them take my car into the garage. Then, it was more than an additional hour for them to complete the oil change and tire rotation. Finally, a mechanic came out to tell me that they had checked into my dashboard light (I hadn't requested that but fine), and he broke the news about my brakes needing a full replacement. What he didn't know was that I had just gotten the dashboard light investigated - at a real full service mechanic - and they had deemed the brakes in good condition. There was a malfunction causing the light (old car, lots of quirks) but the brakes themselves were fine. I drove directly from that mechanic over to Sullivan Tire that day because it would be a cheaper price for the oil change and my tires are rotated for free under the service plan with them. I have never been able to be so sure that a mechanic is lying through his teeth as that day when I literally drove directly from the guy saying it is okay, to this guy saying it is not. On top of all this, the location as a whole is not a welcoming atmosphere, especially for women. The management at the front desk always seem to be speaking through me, brushing me off. I have been in there in the past with my husband and I saw a whole different attitude and service level when they were speaking to him. I used to count on my local Sullivan Tire (Quincy, MA) and these guys absolutely do not even come close to measuring up. read more

I was really happy when I moved close to this Sullivan tire since I've had great experiences at other ones. The first car I had when I moved here the appointment for an inspection was hard to get, but they were able to squeeze it in one day. Oil changes were impossible with my work schedule/their availability. However everything was done quickly and wonderfully, same with my husband. Recently, and actually exactly a month ago, I took an older car there for an inspection and oil change. I needed 2 tires, so I decided to just get 4 and keep the 2 good ones. I also got an alignment, a belt replaced, and other things needed to pass inspection. They didn't have the right tool to replace a light for inspection, so 4 days later they "make" something work, and I get my car back. Mind you this car is a 95, and in NH emissions isn't required. They didn't give me my 2 tires back, and did emissions. I WAS able to get refunded a whole $18 (10 for emissions test and $4 for each tire disposal) However I have been promised twice I would get tires. Now since it is a month later and I still don't have tires to replace the ones I was supposed to keep, and I have felt like I am now a bother because they lost my product I don't think I will ever return. It's a shame too, because I have always liked Sullivan and have felt they were very honest. Disappointing to say the least that I won't be able to utilize them because of this horrible experience. I had been a frequent customer at this location and was very happy with their service and customer service. The prices were reasonable and I trusted them with my vehicle. That all changed when they used my lug nut security wrench with an airwrench to install my rims after a tire purchase. This stripped the security tool and I could not find a replacement. I could not get the lugs off some time later for some brake work. I was told that this was more or less my fault and NOTHING was offered to correct the situation. The tool was ruined and was NOT prior to this visit. Such was the attitude and disconnect at this location that I went to another Sullivan Tire location and they confirmed that all of the lugs were over torqued by near 50 ft/lbs. Though they admitted to this error at the other location and told me it would be discussed internally, when they got back to me, all they could offer was, "sorry". Since they were sooooo inept and unwilling to make right what they had done wrong, they sent me to an independent tire shop (at my cost of course) and he was able to remove the lugs with no damage to my rims or rotors.That was the best thing they could have done as I use this guy exclusively and he does a good job. It would have taken little to correct this but they chose not to. The measure of any retail transaction is how it is handled when things go wrong (as they eventually will). They failed me miserably and I cannot recommend them. read more

I brought my Nissan Versa into the Amherst St Sullivan Tire and had (4) brand new tires put on. I drove out and my car bounced at 50 MPH. They at first admitted it sounded like a balance issue then after an hour later told me it was because one of my wheels was "slightly" bent. Well no one mentioned that when they put on the tires and I never had a problem with the ride or when I just had the tires rotated at the dealership just days before. Then they proceeded to tell me I needed a better tire than what I bought and suckered me into spending $150 more. Granted my car rides better now but what a crock of baloney. Never again will I trust Sullivan Tire to touch my car. read more

Sullivan tire technicians could not detect the problem my Subaru dealer did. Nonetheless, they offered to replace them free to male sure I was completely satisfied. Since when does this happen??? Rich said if i could bring it over than, we may be able to get it taken care of.... or at least get the parts on order. without an appointment, they got me in, fixed the brakes, changed the oil and tires. when it was time to pick it up , we were going to be late (a fe minutes after closing). My son called and they said no problem, we will wait for you. Who does this? the price for the work was reasonable and no complaints. these guys are great! i love this shop. we have 4 cars, they get all our business. read more
